Kiss My Name

KISS MY NAME from Ramon Monegal’s Classics Collection is THE MOST amazing floral fragrance. It’s the closest bottled reproduction to a Mediterranean evening garden, amidst salaciously aroused flowers, lustfully flirting with the birds and the bees in an attempt to be pollinated. ‘Kiss My Name’ is lavish floral opulence. She’s the resplendent Queen of Florals amongst wilting peasants. She’s the modernised successor to the floral throne of Guerlain’s ‘Jardins de Bagatelle’. She has much more almighty grandeur and presence. She’s a great beauty, revered by all those whom smell her majesty. The jasmine, tuberose, orange blossom and neroli combo is swoon-worthy. The musk, cedarwood and amberwood act to ground these often flamboyant floral notes from over-performing. I’m always a fan of the use of coconut as a lactose-free way of amalgamating notes with a subtly sweet smoothness, without any need for creamy (vulgar) vanilla. The dry-down becomes more powdery and spicy like a Stargazer lily in full bloom. It’s fresh but without being green. It’s undoubtedly feminine. Ramon Monegal’s training began in 1972 in Barcelona, then Geneva, Grasse and Paris. ‘Kiss My Name’ was his first ever fragrance, created under the instruction of his strict mentor. His multiple attempts were chastised by his disapproving fragrance master. Now he’s a refined fragrance virtuoso, he’s created perfection. I can’t help but assume that the title for ‘Kiss My Name’ is a pun, aimed as a two-fingers-up to his disapproving mentor, not only to invite him to kiss his now triumphant brand-name, but to also kiss his arse. Monegal himself describes ‘Kiss My Name’ as: “My indulgence. My revenge. At the beginning of my training, the first classic accord I had to learn and replicate, without much luck, was the legendary floral tuberose with jasmine and orange blossom. I’ve now been able to regain that satisfying experience and to interpret the myth, reformulate the accord fragrance with my learned language.” The bottle is beautiful, it comes in the standard 50ml size Eau De Parfum in his unique inkwell (l’encrier) design. For Monegal, the inkwell style bottle is, “an iconic perfume recipient, an object of desire, a single bottle that houses all the soul and essence of my work.” Being an inkwell represents that literature (along with nature) is his main source of inspiration, turning words into fragrance notes. I only wish that the cap had a magnetic closure. ‘Kiss My Name’ has shot straight to my favourites list. My search for a vanilla-free pure floral, might just be over. For now, there is no other better performing, naturalistic floral. ‘Kiss My Name’ is an, “Exuberant, opulent and seductive. Gorgeous perfume that I like it a lot, but it also reminds me of two perfumes I already own. In particular, it has the same tuberose note that is in Nasomatto's Narcotic Venus and Nishane's Tuberoza. Unfortunately, it also shares the synthetic chemical note that is in Tuberoza, (whether Iso, ambroxan, or something else, I have no idea), though not to the degree that it is in Tuberoza. Still, this is different enough, especially when the other notes of jasmine, neroli, and iris become apparent, that it has me considering a fb. Like those fragrances, it also performs wonderfully with amazing silage/throw and longevity. 6/24/22 - Wore this again and it has taken a big turn towards love. The warm weather is really pulling out the iris and tulu balsam in the dry down giving this a powdery, ambery light sweetness that I am just loving. The lightly indolic jasmine is just beautiful too with the neroli giving a much-needed lift to the composition keeping it from being too dense or heavy. Still, this is far from a light fragrance and wears more like a vintage of the past than most perfumes made today. As far as comparisons to NV or Tuberoza, I still think it smells similar, but there are many more transitions here as they wear pretty linear on me. I am now considering a bottle, though I wish this brand offered travel sprayers as an option because this is so strong with so little needed, I doubt I'd even make a dent in a travel sprayer. Edit 9/20/22 - Just want to reiterate again how strong this is. 4 sprays almost killed me last night and I had to wash some off. This fragrance is an edp but wears like an extrait, so be aware of that. Less is definitely more with this perfume.

This is my second wearing of Kiss My Name as I review this simply stunning fragrance. And this second adornment is surprisingly more beautiful than the first. In this case, this is best with one light, diffusive spray. Any more than one light-handed misting and especially in warmer weather, I get a somewhat heavy and linear tuberose soliflore. However, tonight the cool air seems to bring out the brilliance of this stunning perfume. On opening, fresh, ample tuberose with a slight metallic greenness; balmy glints of sparkling joy, accented with enigmatic citrus-like orange blossom nectar. Jasmine is not overly discernible to the nose, although its sensuality along with aphrodisiacal tuberose is unmistakably present. Ramon Monegal's website states that the iris is cedar infused which lends to the lift and slightly woody feel in Kiss My Name. The tolu is subtle and somehow enhances the fruity, nectar-like accents of this floral beauty with a soft balmy grace, and is barely enough to classify this into the Oriental category. Kiss My Name is beautifully charming, full and natural with remarkable quality, sillage and longevity. This is buxom tuberose in the most joyous form.

I love anything jasmine. This was a blind buy for me. I was looking for something a bit more lowkey because all my friends were raving about Diptyque Do Son. I purchased the discovery set and fell in love with Flamenco, Cherry musk and Heritage drops. However, I wanted to save them for when I go to Barcelona and visit the store. This is my second blind buy (first was Florabotanica by Balenciaga) and I am ecstatic. I loveeeee all the notes!!! I mentioned to a friend that Flamenco is the passionate and energetic friend you have, and Kiss My Name is the subtle, calm and elegant girl everyone had to notice when she entered the room ^_^ I tend to favor white flowers, especially jasmine so my opinion might be biased. And I am very happy with the packaging, too. I will definitely buy some more when I go to the flagship store in Barcelona. This perfume house is not so popular among my friend circle, that's why I love it!

My Darling Sister purchased this for me for Christmas. She got me the sample first.. the smell filled the entire room. That small vial was so powerful and I knew that I had to have this!!!! I couldn't wait til Christmas to open it!!! Then came the day I waited for Dec 25th. Im surprised this perfume is not banned.. it is Fabulous Wonderful Enticing Beautiful Charismatic Enchanting and Bewitching. It's hard to wear anything else but this. I'm so glad I found out I'm part Spanish.. I feel such a CONNECTION to this fragrance. RAMON MONEGAL, This is PERFECTION. It stays with me all day. I didn't even mention the packaging yet. Oh my goodness. It's so beautiful. I feel like a Spanish Queen who just received a magnificent gift of the gods!!!!!!I have other Tuberose Perfumes and I love them too but this is the Pinnacle!!!!!! OmG I can't believe I own this Masterpiece. Thank you Sweet Paula!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to like this fragrance so much, but alas, it just doesn't have all the bells and whistles I was hoping for. Admittedly, I am a novice to the perfume world and my nose has trouble discerning certain notes, however, I did get the tuberose AKA the Fracas element, but this fragrance had absolute zero sillage and longevity on me. In 15 minutes I could barely smell it and it 25, it was gone. Edit: 03/11/22 I had to come back to this fragrance a few times. While it still doesn't perform well on my skin, this time I applied it to my shirt, my handkerchief and the back of my hairline and the sillage and longevity have amped up considerably. I wouldn't say that I'm in love with this scent, but I'm liking it much, much better now. Stay tuned...

Kiss my name is a nice perfume with White flowers. It has a nice Jasmine and a subtle tuberose feeling. The tolu balm and the cedar give a balsámic and Woody vibe with some sweetness. It is a very good perfume but similar to manynother perfumes in the market so for me although i recognize the quality and i LOVE the smell It doent worth the price since there is similar and cheaper options un the market and i have already close perfumes... But if you dont have a White flowers and are looking for one this could be a good option! Unisex and better for cold weather or spring nights... This is one of my favorite daily wear scents. It's definitely floral but thanks to the neroli not overly sweet. Pretty without being too girly-girly. Grown-up and sexy. I could see a guy wearing this well. The longevity is excellent, and the sillage is enough to be noticed but not so much that you feel like Pig Pen walking through a room. Subtle but there. I get compliments when I wear it, and people seem to lean in closer during conversation. Could be my imagination, or it could be they think Kiss My Name is as lovely as I think it is!

Kiss My Name: Notes include absolute of Indian Tuberose, iris, cedar, Absolute of Egyptian Jasmine, Tunisian neroli and tolu balsam. Opening beautifully, if a bit metallic, Kiss My Name is loud, exuberant and happy. A diva she is, although not one to play in the same league as the ones mentioned above. Her arias can be a bit tinny and screechy some days, on others she impresses with more depth than the middling performance of the day before suggested.

I love this fragrance ; For in my opinion it sits beside Carnal Flower, The Tuberose was blended perfectly , Not too much; not too little. Best suited for all occasion, Truly a work of art! Scent 10/10 Silage 10/10 Lasting power 10/10 Thanks,

Indolic tuberose and Jasmine. Love white flowers but there’s also a softness balancing this out. Maybe it’s the iris? There’s another note in here that makes it almost gourmand-ey tuberose. Either way it lasts ALL DAY but it is very linear.

Beautiful!! Class in a bottle. Smells very natural, like a flower bouquet, which has tuberose in the heart. Leans more towards feminine, but guys can pull this off if worn with proper attire, attitude, and environment. Performance- 10/10

White floral bomb. Sweet in a honeyed way, smells like white flowers in a summer night, the way those smells in the Mediterranean coast. Not airy and fresh, but dark, carnal and indolic. Reminds me a lot of Mancera's Velvet Vanilla, with a very similar sweet tuberose, a little bubblegumy. It has the sweetness of yellow flowers. It is not light or aethereal in any way. This perfume is strong. Pretty but I am not sure about when I am going to be able to use that, I feel it can be a Christmas scent but also something to enjoy in a summer night.

I think this is Ramon Monegal's most feminine creation. It's a potent tuberous, almost identical to Fracas by Piguet, but with a more luminous presence. Incredibly beautiful, a scent for a wedding.

I purchased a "new 50 ml bottle minus a few sprays" of "Kiss My Name" on a reselling website. The notes appealed to me, so I took the plunge and blind-purchased a full bottle. I've been on a tuberose bender lately. I've sampled and/or purchased full bottles of several, tuberose-centric perfumes. So, to my nose Kiss My Name is a complex scent. In my journey, I'm recognizing I prefer tuberose perfumes that are (practically) soliflore, not tuberose combined with many other floral notes. Kiss My Name opens as a dense, syrupy, honeyed, mixed white floral bomb with jasmine & tuberose the most prevalent notes. The emergence of iris makes the fragrance dusty, powdery and soft. There is an undercurrent of resinous tolu balsam running throughout the fragrance, which is a surprising departure from MOST tuberose fragrances. AS an aside, I find many tuberose fragrances excessively GREEN & INDOLIC~excessively ripe, sour and bitter for my taste. On my skin KMN pulls in the slightly indolic, carnal, slightly dirty tuberose direction. Something turns quite sour on my skin. While not bitter, I would not categorize KMN as a sweet tuberose, or sweet floral fragrance. Hours into the wear, I detect floral notes, honey, cedar-wood and resinous tolu balsam. Unfortunately, this fragrance didn't work out as I hoped.

I've been on a tuberose kick lately and blind bought this (based on its reviews) from an acquaintance. For me, it's just okay. I am very particular in how I like tuberose in fragrances; for example, I don't care for sweet, sugary bubblegum tuberose. This tuberose is not that, but it is quite indolic, which I can only do if the indole is cut through by something else. Don't get me wrong, it is a beautiful, classy, and even sexy fragrance (I mean the name alone is SEXY!!) and I can see the vision, but it does not seem to work well on my skin. If anyone is interested in a nearly full 1.7 oz bottle, please PM me and I'd be more than happy to sell it away.

Straddling the fence between beautiful... and urine. As much as I'd like to wear this, it's a risk out in public that I don't want to take.

Kiss my name reminds me of different elements of Carolina Herrera, Dusita Melodie d'Amour and Narcotic Venus. Like if you had mixed all 3 of these together to make a new perfume. It is way too heavy and cloying for me. Way to overboard w/ everything. This is indolic but it never completely wins me over because I don't find it sexy because it is also bubble-gum tuberose as well. I can see what the perfumer had in mind here. Combine the best of both worlds in one perfume but for some reason it doesn't work. It is a perfume that is of 2 minds and it can't make up its mind on what it wants to be. Sexy, carnal, forbidden tuberose or sweet, bubblegum, girly tuberose. The 2 concepts just don't go together and they don't work here. A good idea but badly executed.

Love the beautiful tuberose at the start. There is a bitter, green note that keeps things fresh. But I can smell cedar lurking in the background, which had me concerned. My skin tends to amplify cedar, turning delightful fragrances in to scrubbers, in an instant, on me. And that is what has happened with Kiss My Name. This is a sample received from LuckyScent and I just noticed they have this listed as extremely high on the "feminine" scale. This may have been why I decided to try it, even with 'iris cedre' listed under fragrance notes. I'll disagree with LuckyScent and say that there is a distinct masculine bend to Kiss My Face and I think it would be fantastic on a man. But on me, it just doesn't work.

I smell green tuberose stems iniially, after 10mins or so, it settles into an iris/tuberose combo with a balmy very "musky skin" sweaty scent. I would say its a balmy musky white floral - Iris, Neroli & tuberose. I love tuberose, i thought i would love this.....but I'm not getting into this one at all! The Iris & muskiness is just not working for me. Try before buy of course.

wow, I hate this. No offense to anyone who loves it, I'm sure you can rock it and it would smell great, but as soon as I put it on, I started coughing and it didn't stop until I scrubbed it off. This is a beast mode fragrance though and I can still smell it after scrubbing.

This is a stunner- the opening notes are divine, and it spirals so quickly through iris, rose, something sweet and candy-like, then straight into neroli, gardenia and tuberose. The tuberose-musk on the finish is pretty powerful, and has a powdery aspect to it. This is a very intricate and complex fragrance; I don't recall smelling anything so completely unique like this in a long, long time, and I am extremely choosy about perfume. It is like meeting someone with a long, foreign name that you then try to dance around by never attempting to pronounce it in conversation with them; there are so many vowels and inflections going on, it's like it's brand new to you each time you hear it and you STILL aren't sure if you've got it figured out. I was told by the salesperson that it contains zero synthetics. I can believe this because there is a purity to this perfume that is so elemental, I don't think even the most clever cosmetic scientist could come up with such truthful florals. This is not something I would usually pick up, I really love my woods, but it is very, very pretty and so unlike anything in recent memory, I am happily surprised. You need to sample this one. You really do.

Ok so I picked up 3 bottles of Kiss My Name not knowing what I was really getting. A friend of a friend was closing their store in Dubai and getting rid of all their stock for dirt cheap. I paid 100 aed per bottle which is about $27!!!! I kept one for myself and gave one to my daughter and another to my daughter-in-law. While each of us ladies found it a beautiful scent it was all 3 of our spouses that went crazy!!! I spray it and my husband downstairs will ask what smells so good! This is the ONLY perfume that makes it’s way down before I do. My son wanted to buy another bottle for his wife and we were all shocked by the price. Had I known I would’ve purchased her whole stock! Anyways glad I have this little gem and will save it for special occasions.

Beautiful long lasting tuberose but kind of linear, no play of notes, a more interesting one is the classic Amarige by givency, long lasting feminine, sexy, playful, womanly and still cute! Kiss my name can be also worn by a man because of the linear vibe. I loved it and was about to purchase but was testing and looking for other tuberose and gardenia scents, you know, the floral woodsy musks and have searched and searched and I have found it in amarige, just what I had been looking for and less than half the price. Just to be fair, kiss my name would be in my frag arsenal just found something else in the meantime:D

WOW!!! What is up with Ramon Monegal???? This line is seriously amazing!!! Kiss My Name...Beautiful champagne in a bottle. There is something fizzy or bubbly in the opening then it almost borders a fruity floral. The neroli, tuberose and jasmine are gorgeous and masterfully blended. The iris lends a dry quality to this beautiful little bubbly so that it never becomes too sweet. I was just about to order a bottle of Impossible Iris (which is GORGEOUS as well) but now I feel pulled. So far I have tried and LOVED Impossible Iris, Ambra di Luna & this little beauty!!! Three little letters...WOW!!!

I actually like the fact that for a mainly tuberose fragrance it's better than fracas on me! It's sweeter and prettier where I don't find that in fracas, my husband just can't get with fracas on me, just not pretty enough and I totally understand but, Will buy kiss my name as soon as funds permit!

I love this fragrance. As soon as I smelled it, it created an immediate sexy playful mood for me. Opens with a tuberose, thick, heady, then jasmine and neroli. Staying power, over 10 hours. Very feminine and sexy. Definitely grabs attention.

It's a kickass scent. I love tuberose. And this one is so realistic. Lovely floral scent with the vegetal vibe like the aroma of the whole plant. Classy, vintage and flamboyant. It is the carnal flower afterall.

I have years using KMN as my signature scent. For me is the most amazing perfume for a classy, elegant and secure woman. My go to perfume for theater nights and formal events. A truly masterpiece!

Genial. Surprising it has 0% synthetic smell, and smell 100% natural, great Monegal. Timeless and Unisex. Worth a try. Longevity and Sillage Monster.

It's too feminine for me as a male, but I would follow a woman who wears it...everywhere
