Oakmoss

Green, herbal, earthy. Reminds me of a forest after rain. There's a faint spiciness at the base that makes me continue to go back and smell it again when I wear it. Almost has an incense quality to it on the dry down. I get 5+ hours of wear on bare skin, more if I wear an oil underneath it - Nemat Amber pairs nicely.

I bought this perfume on my trip to Nashville. This stuff sticks with you all day. I was shocked when on my lunch break I got asked by someone behind the cafeteria bar what I was wearing bc they wanted to buy it. It's bold and green and pulses off you all day. I want to try more from the brand now.

This is a really nice smell, but it can be a little bit overpowering, at least for me / on my skin. Probably the freshest fragrance I own, it smells almost a little bit soapy, but in a way I'm a big fan of. It's a bit of a smack in the face when you first put it on of Pine after rain, and moss (hence the name), but give it a bit and it draws down. I don't get any of the citrus-y notes, even when applied on something other than my skin, so I don't know why bergamot is there, or really, amber either. Another reviewer before said it's probably a bit better as a room scent, which I agree with, but it works perfectly fine on someone as well, and if you're looking for a nice, really fresh and forest-y fragrance, this is the way to go.

Ran across this gem randomly in a small boutique store in LA. Both, my friend and I instantly loved it. It’s a unique fragrance and very green. Not really like fresh cut grass, but that’s where my mind goes instantly when I first put it on. But then, it settles and other notes come to life. It’s definitely a white linen shirt fresh smell, perfect for warm spring or summer days. And I love that it lasts all day. Pairs nicely with something with a rose base, like Mojave Ghost, to soften it just a little as well. Just about finishing that bottle and ordered another, along with the discovery set. I’m excited to try their other fragrances.

This was one of the first fragrances I purchased for myself, years ago on a trip to Nashville. I was unfamiliar with oakmoss as an ingredient and was absolutely taken by this. Years later, this is only occasionally reached for after a morning shower, as this is a very inoffensive, light, soapy green smell. I remember buying this for something like $30 at a boutique and since the prices have raised to $94 on the brand's website, I can't say I would pay nearly that for this scent. That being said, it has been reformulated to boast more complexity, so it just might be worth it if you can give it a try.

Unfortunately, I do not have the same experience as the previous and only other reviewer at this point. Oakmoss is in a ton of fragrances. It can be hit or. See Aventus of Chypre Mousse. Aventus is a fan favorite it seems and I enjoyed Chypre Mousse. This however, isn't worth it. The fragrance, as my other experience with Ranger Station, was more suited for a candle or room spray. Not something I enjoyed wearing. I am not certain if it comes from using the roller ball application instead of the spray. Either way, just misses the mark for me.
