The heart blooms with powdery, sensual, and delicate vanilla orchid, spicy ginger, and a touch of sweet cacao. The base notes envelope you in creamy sandalwood, soft musk, and vanillic tonka bean, which also balance out the other notes really well. Oh my goodness this is absolutely gorgeous! I bought a few of those Sephora fragrance samplers that come with the voucher to redeem for your favorite bottle. With one I got Kilian Princess and with the second I got Rare (I’m still deciding on what my 3rd should be)! I’ve been wanting to try this since its launch, and I’d heard it’s similar to Burberry Goddess which I also really love. This was definitely a love at first sniff for me! It’s kind of like a smoother version of Burberry Goddess since it doesn’t have the lavender which can sometimes come across as sharp (although I don’t find it particularly sharp in Goddess, but it is in Libre). The caramel and pistachio notes also make it feel a bit more sweet and gourmand than Goddess. Also, this is elevated by the spicy ginger which keeps it from feeling overly similar to other gourmands, and balances out the sweetness really nicely. Really loving Rare Eau De Parfum from Selena Gomez. Very cozy and inviting scent. This is going to pair great with a comfy sweater or blanket during the fall and winter seasons, but this is also a fragrance that can be worn year round. Doesn't feel like the typical celebrity fragrance release. Notes of vanilla, caramel, pink pepper, cocoa, Sandalwood and musk mingle perfectly together for a lasting, but not overpowering, fragrance. I see how this can be compared to Burberry Goddess, but I find Rare to be unisex and can be worn by anyone, where as goddess is too sweet and feminine in my opinion. The fragrance balm enhancers are awesome, really loving the amber vanilla and I can see more fragrance houses coming out with this type of product for layering and customizing your personal fragrance. I think this is definitely worth the price point and this is going to be in my rotation going forward. Let me just say this too: I am not a Selena Gomez super-fan and don't know too much about her career or music, but I do find her to be one of the more genuine celebrities and nothing about her Rare Beauty brand has been gimmicky in my experience so far. Great products and now a great fragrance. 👍🏻 recommended if you want an easy to wear cozy vanilla fragrance in your collection at a reasonable price point.

I absolutely love this fragrance! And I have no idea why! Usually I don't like anything that can be considered gourmand, but this one is not gourmand at all! I love Rare Beauty as a make up brand, so I knew if they ever brought out a fragrance I'll at least try it, but when I read the notes I was like "it's just another gourmand cash grab perfume, maybe that's the one product of the brand that I just wouldn't like". Then I had the chance to try it at Sephora, but thank God only on my skin and not on a paper strip, cause it was out of stock and they took the tester behind the counter. I liked it, sort of. Then a few weeks passed and I tried it again and I liked it more, I managed to get the spicy notes of the ginger and the pink pepper and also the ambery musky goodness that is the base of the perfume and I fell in love with it. I ended up buying the Christmas set with the blush and I couldn't be happier. After I got it I wore it for two weeks straight before being able to go back to wearing any of my other ones. It's a great fragrance and I think even if you're not a gourmand lover you're gonna love this one!

As simply, honestly, and straight forwardly as I can state it, it's just Burberry Goddess without the lavender. I sprayed both on blotter strips and smelled them throughout the day, and honestly, they were hard to tell apart, especially after they dried down. I had the same experience when I wore them on skin. I find both to be soft, cozy, and soothing scents. They're lovely, and I quite like them both. But I like the lavender in Goddess, and I think it's quite soft, so this is redundant in my collection. I have a very large collection, so there already is some redundancy, but these are so close that I would almost call them dupes. I guess if you were bothered by the lavender in Goddess then this would make you really happy. But I'm not inclined to go FB on this one, even when I run out of Goddess (which will be a long time, if ever, since I bought a refill.) It's pretty, I'm just not sure I understand why they would release something so incredibly similar. And if I had purchased a full bottle, I would be so disappointed right now.

I didn't really like this when it first came out, but now I'm obsessed! It smells so good. It's like a slightly herbal and spicy vanilla, the ginger really elevating it IMO. It doesn't even really strike me as vanilla though, in a way. It's fresh but sweet. I'm really glad I came around on it. It's definitely astringent/sharp which I think is what kept me from enjoying it initially. It doesn't last on my skin long, where it immediately settles into a spicy yet sweet sandalwood, but the mid notes really stick around for a while on my clothes. It has a nice scent bubble and I've gotten compliments on it, which very rarely happens to me. I still don't think it smells that much like Goddess. The lavender in that is SO strong to me, whereas Rare obviously has none. I do get why they're compared but for me they are very distinct. I prefer this, personally. I'm not always in the mood for this kind of scent but when I am this one really is sooo good.

Genuinely the best versitile perfume, and not saying that just because I love RB. It's calming, almost aromatherapy like (for me at least). It's warm and a little bit spicy but not in a sharp or hot way, more like a cinnamon type of spice. I think it's the ginger mingling with the pink pepper. It's dries down very softy - think Goddess but less vanilla syrupy. The dry down is basically just Mon G without the lavender. So if you like Goddess or Mon, you will like this. It layers beautifully with her fragrance balms. I like the amber vanilla for a little extra boost of sweet and sexy and I like the patchouli for a little more of a statement. P.S the balms are amazing on their own, very soft and I often wear them to bed. Overall this is definitely worth the money. I think it falls into the mid range for perfumes, which is about perfect. I got mine for $56 during the 20% off sale

I dont have Goddess but i have smelt it, there is definite similarities but this scent to me is amazing! Is it revolutionary? no the scent isnt at all, but i think its a lot more approachable to a wider audience. The bottle is a dainty well thought out component, the lockable sprayer is a good idea for carrying in a bag so it doesnt spray all over the place (Providing you remember to lock it) the acctual mist spray its self is very nice too. Do you NEED this? probably not if you already have a big collection, but i definitely think its still a good fragrance and i really enjoy wearing it. It lasts for a long time on my skin, id say its a good all rounder, from a work scent to a date night scent! Ill give it a 8.3/10, some minus points as i didnt have any physical store to go to to smell it before i got it.

Rare is my new favorite perfume. It’s sweet, but not too sweet— at least on my skin, anyway. I have found that with my skin chemistry, pink pepper can tend to be TOO spicy and overwhelm any other notes but this was not the case with Rare. It’s warm, spicy, and sweet in a way that a friend and I felt was reminiscent of snickerdoodle cookies. This is also one of the longest lasting fragrances in my collection, with it still lingering in some areas almost ten hours later. I also have to give Rare Beauty props for the bottle design and their efforts in making beauty more accessible for those who may have dexterity problems (like me and my weak fingers/grip strength) or other disabilities. It’s a brilliant design that melds aesthetic and function beautifully.

While I don't like leaving reviews on something I haven't smelled myself yet, I will make one exception for this. No matter how this fragrance ends up smelling, the bottle itself is revolutionary. Accessibility being kept in mind in this way opens up fragrance to a whole group of people who couldn't access it as easily, or at all, before. Simple changes to things we take for granted, like the size and shape of a bottle and its sprayer, make for a perfume that more people can access than any other on the market right now. And it still manages to be elegant. I'd put it on my dresser, for sure! I hope to see more scents in this bottle design, and I truly hope to see more houses catch on and try things like this. This is so lovely. Is it revolutionary/super unique? Probably not, but it is beautiful. I think it’s warm, cozy and will have a mass appeal. It’s not overbearing and it wears well. To solve the Goddess/Rare debate, I sprayed Goddess on my left arm and Rare on my right at Sephora the other day and they are NOT the same. I ADORED Rare and ended up buying a travel set bc I couldn’t stop smelling my arm. I don’t own Goddess but had hoped I would like it bc Costco sells it (hot tip lol) and haven’t really worn it before but I was not a fan. Goddess is floral and this is not. Also I don’t really understand/get the vanilla notes in Goddess but I do in this. They just were very different on me/to my nose.

Selena, you killed it! It starts of very peppery sweet, but then becomes a gorgeous warm, buttery vanilla that's also has a touch of spice. It's a bit generic, but I can't help but enjoy it. I've seen a lot of comparison to Burberry Goddess, but the couple of times I've tested it on my skin I found to be a lot more floral-leaning. That said, this smells very similar to Athena from fine'ry, which is supposed to be a Burberry Goddess dupe. However, Rare just has a depth and spiciness to it not present in Athena. It projects pretty well, but I was most impressed by the longevity! I'm still smelling the vanilla and musk on myself after I get home from work. Such an amazing fragrance.

Rare is such an uplifting and addictive scent to me. It perfectly balances sweetness and spiciness. Similar to Goddess, but Rare is a bit softer and more rounded. To my nose, Goddess is sharper and can be slighlty headache inducing. I can’t detect much vanilla in Rare though, so if you’re looking for a vanilla prominent fragrance, this isn’t it. I love the cute design of the Rare bottle, the only thing that annoys me is the gold cap. The material is flimsy. They also put a sticker on the cap for instructions on how to open and close the spray nozzle: that sticker has industrial grade stickiness. Still trying to scrub it off the cap.

This surprised me. I'm a mom with young kids, I am not looking for beast mode or loud scents. When I spray this I immediately think of a really luxurious body wash. The kind you want to keep smelling on yourself after you get out of the shower. Fresh but not floral, sweet but not too sweet/not juvenile, spicy but no tobacco/leather to ruin it. Just fresh. Unisex leaning feminine. I am totally obsessed! I like it more than burberry goddess and angahm. I like that it doesn't have lavender. I would recommend to anyone looking for an easy reach. Not over powering. Oddly addictive.

A very big love for me! When I first sprayed it on paper, I immediately thought of Goddess. However on my skin, Rare is much sweeter and vanillic. I really love Goddess too, however Goddess is veeeery spicy on me. I mainly get the lavender and the ginger, and barely any vanilla. I love it nonetheless. But, Rare is everything I love in a perfume this time of the year: a sweet, slightly spicy vanilla. Perfection! I wonder if I should give Angham a try as well since most reviews I heard/read mention a similarity with Goddess but with more vanilla as well.

A gorgeous, cosy fragrance with a groundbreaking bottle design! The scent itself is a full, lightly-spiced vanilla. Once the notes of ginger and pink pepper settle down this reminds me a lot of Burberry Goddess - delicious, soft, and smooth, like an elevated vanilla pudding. Probably a safe blind buy if you enjoy vanilla gourmands. But the reason this fragrance is revolutionary is the bottle - formed to be both beautiful and functional, with a wide design that makes it easier to use for those with limited mobility. I hope we see more of this!

Im someone that was not impressed, wasnt having it and did not like at all. BUT! I got the lotion as a present, wore the lotion, started enjoying the lotion, carried it everywhere, reached for the fragrance and now I cant stop wont stop! this is an easy spray~I wear it A LOT. I wear it more than any fragrance I own - ludicrous. Spa like fragrance w a dash of sweetness (vanilla). This is so very enjoyable to me AND I receive many...someone smells good remarks; i assume it's me cuz I always assume it is me. Cheeeese!

Most Vanilla based fragrances don't really go well with the humid climate we have in an asian country as the heat also plays a part on how the perfume mixes with our skin chemistry. However this fragrance is an exception. first of all, beast mode projection. and its not your typical sweet clogging basic vanilla. It's sexy because of the the woodiness and pink pepper. I can wear this anyday anytime any weather and to anywhere honestly. I am so glad this didnt become a usual gourmand fragrance!

This has been literally the only fragrance I find myself wanting to wear lately with the exception of my signature go to "Vanille Fog" from Love, Leo Fragrance. I have to force myself to wear any other fragrances because of how much I'm just naturally gravitating to these two. The new Rare fragrance just makes so much sense to me during this time of year. It's uplifting yet spicy and a little gourmand but not sickly sweet. So good and I've gotten many compliments on this since wearing it.

I was very surprised to find that I love this fragrance as I didn't really like Burberry Goddess. I think this reminds me a bit more of Jo Malone Ginger Biscuit than Goddess. It is a spicy ginger-vanilla forward scent, with caramel for sweetness. I tried layering this with Bare Sueded Vanilla from Victoria's Secret and it was such a great combo that I want full sizes of both this and Bare Vanilla. I think this is a great, affordable perfume that I'll reach for often this fall/winter!

i'm always so impressed every time i smell this. it's exactly what i want a feminine perfume to smell like. i've never enjoyed burberry goddess when i smell it at the store (which at this point has been at least a dozen times) so i don't really smell the resemblence. in my unbiased opinion, rare is sweet, woody, a little spicy, and very classy. wonderful for date night or any time i want a little boost to my confidence. i definitely recommend it.

the reviews are true. This literally smells like Burberry Goddess minus the lavender note. I sprayed BG on my left arm and this one on my right, and then did a smell test; I could not differentiate between the two. I already have a big bottle of burberry goddess so I couldn't justify purchasing the full bottle of this one. Once I run out of burberry goddess, I will for sure though. Way more affordable.

This was definitely a surprise. I orginally blind bought it and for some reason thought it would be a very gourmand kind of vanilla but it is completly different. I'd say this is a great vanilla perfume for people who don't like the overpowering sweet vanilla. It is fresh, sweet and just a great everyday perfume. I love the ginger note, it makes this a super fresh and nice perfume. 10/10 Blind Buy.

This is one of those effortless, no brainer perfumes I find myself reaching for all the time. It’s subtle with the mix of soft sweetness and gentle spice. It’s very mass appealing and I’ve received quite a few compliments from colleagues while wearing it. Another bonus is how affordable it is, and also how easy it is to layer with. No resemblance to Burberry Godess in my opinion.

At first I wasn’t sure how I felt about this one, but after using up a 10ml over a month or so I can truly say I love it. It’s a sweet, warm, cosy type of scent. I love the dry down especially because you get the tonka and vanilla lingering on your skin in such a beautiful way. Longevity is good, I spray it on myself before work and can still smell it at the end of the day.

I love this! I’ve had Burberry Goddess but didn’t like the lavender so I gave it to my 25 yo daughter who loved it. Enter Rare and it’s everything I liked about BG without the lavender. It starts off spicy but then mellows into a beautiful, but not overly sweet, creamy vanilla/caramel drydown. I also layer with the balms that they offer and I love those as well.

So beautiful, i smelt it in sephora today for the first time and my sister sprayed it on herself. At first it smelt like chemicals but after a while it smelt like this warm vanilla. I couldn’t stop thinking about it and later that night asked my sister if i could smell it again from her wrist and it was the such a beautiful vanilla smell. Will be purchasing!

This. Is. Beautiful! I sprayed it on myself and loved it but it reminded me so much of Goddess (which has been my signature for a few months now) but after leaving and having the full dry down it is different than Goddess. It is so warm and inviting and almost cozy? I absolutely love it, I also get hints of the pistachio after dry down and I'm in love!

This is SIMILAR to BG, it is NOT a dupe. Angham is a BG dupe. There is NO lavender in Rare. The vanilla is similar. Are they different enough to have both? Yes, i think so. But if u could only have one, that's fine too. Rare is cheaper and the bottle design is more user-friendly, if u will. Both are beautiful, both are an easy reach and non offensive.

She’s perfect. She’s delicious. She’s a flawless blend of vanilla, caramel, sandalwood and tonka. The skin musks really bring it down to earth and allow it to blend into your hair or clothes without smelling overly “perfumey”. Not sure if I will wear this in summer as it may be a bit too heavy but I will definitely be rocking her all fall and winter.

it just works for me, it’s a nice blend of ginger and vanilla, a fresh sweetness that won’t offend anyone. u can smell it while sleep deprived and won’t get a headache and the smell is almost soothing. the only downside is that it doesn’t last that long on me but idc i’ll still buy another bottle after that one, it’s an addictive calming scent

If you wanted Burberry Goddess but it's too expensive OR if you liked everything about Burberry Goddess except the lavender, you're in luck! This is Burberry Goddess without the lavender and at a way better price. And the bottle is nice. If I ever run out of Burberry Goddess, which I love, I will buy Rare instead. But I don't need both.

such a lovely girly scent for everyday wear! an almost sparkling pink pepper and caramel on the opening, and the dry down is a beautiful vanilla with ginger and musk. reminds me of the feeling i get when walking down the street and wondering what fragrance a woman that went past me is using. would definitely repurchase.

I blind bought a travel size of this perfume last year because I live far away from a Sephora. I was pleasantly suprised. It felt like a comfortable and easy reach right from the start and layerable with other favorites. I only have a small collection of perfumes and I know I will buy this again to keep in the rotation.

This is such a beautiful scent. Warm, sweet, creamy & soft scent, I really enjoy it. I don't get Burberry goddess from it. This combined with the vanilla fragrance balm from Rare, pure bliss. I wanted to dive into my own skin. Very sensual & intimate vibe. I will pick this over Burberry goddess.

omg i don’t understand any negative reviews on this. i smelled it in store and immediately went home and bought it online. it smells sooo good and the longevity is amazing. it reminds me of something from childhood, but yeah this is amazing and one of my new favorite perfumes

Wow very pretty ! I was hoping to get the pistachio and ginger on my skin, but they’re non existent on my skin. All I get is a warm, gently spiced fudge brownie but that’s not too sickly sweet. Pretty and feminine , very simple yet lovely ! Will buy a fb soon

This is super addictive! I love wearing it at night after my shower. It smells fresh yet sweet and has an addictive quality. My only gripe is that it doesn't last long on me and I can't smell it after 2 hours. Great scent at a great price for daily wear.

I love wearing it to bed! While it shares similarities between goddess and angham it is not the same at all. It's softer, sweeter, and there is something comforting about it. I love it and will continue to own all 3 as they serve different purposes.

Wore this to work for the first time and someone complimented me as soon as I sat at my desk lol. She said “it was perfect not too strong and not too much. All work centers should smell like you” INSTANTLY top 10 lol

Tested it at Sephora and it has all my favorite notes, a simple, warm vanilla sandalwood but disappears after 10 minutes.. I can't justify that price tag for a perfume with such poor longetivity.

I was skeptical, seeing as this is a celebrity owned-brand. But this smells really fucking great. When I first tried it, it did remind me of JPG Le Male Le Parfum for the first millisecond or so.

I received a sample of this fragrance and I find it pleasant. It is very similar to Burberry Goddess, in a milder way. Since I already own Goddess I wouldnt purchase Rare .

A simple caramel pistachio to my nose. Comforting and easy. Considering buying for the fall, if I get tired of Mochi Milk.

Really like this. Smell like spicy caramel and milky desert. Gourmand autumn chocolaty and vanilla. Cozy and sweet.
