Al Wisam Day

I've been wearing this all summer and along side Terre De Hermes Eau Tres Fraiche, Mugler Cologne, and Prada Infusion D'Homme it has earned a place as being among my favorite Summer fragrances. Many say this is like Creeds Silver Mountain Water but I must disagree. This is better than Creeds SMW. I'd actually say it is a far more superior option than SMW. First off Creed's offering smells very salty. This is not a bad thing outright but when you do a side by side with AL WISAM, AL WISAM smells so much more bright and fresh in comparison,from the opening through the dry down. Many of Creed's defenders will tout the quality of ingredients they use. I can honestly say that AL WISAM DAY is far from a cheap smelling fragrance. Quite the contrary...It smells very Niche and it's mind blowing that it can be purchased for under $40. Secondly the performance is not even a contest. AL WISAM is a BEAST. I can smell it on myself 12 hours later and on clothes much longer. SMW turns in to a skin scent while AL WISAM DAY is just starting to reveal its mid notes...that may be an exaggeration but not really...lol...AL WISAM projects, has major sillage and generally performs like a powerful winter fragrance during summer months. Its a scent you could wear in the day all year round because of that fact. SMW is weak, strictly a warm weather scent which at over $300 means a lot of wasted money during use. To me the choice is clear. Some will never appreciate a scent like AL WISAM or refuse to even try it because they consider it a clone. Nevermind the fact that Creed as well as other Niche and Designer brands have copied other scents many times and will continue to. Just because Rasasi is a Middle Eastern Brand people create a different standard for them. Quite honestly they are shaming Western houses by their High Quality juices at such low price points. The frag community should simply embrace great scents and care less about who is making them and judging by the growing buzz Middle Eastern houses like Rasasi, Armaf, Afnan and Lataffa are earning, this seems inevitable. 9/10 YouTube Channel- Simply Put Scents

A really pleasant, masculine, classy, and mature fragrance. It is fresh, clean, soft, light, and bright. This feels transluscent, crystalline, and fluorescent. I consider this as the perfect scent when wearing white clothes in a hot summer day. It is unique enough that it will stand out from the crowd. It has mass-appealing aspects and is inoffensive when sprayed moderately. Longevity is 7+ hours on my skin. Loud projection for the first 3-5 hours; surprisingly, people 6 feet away from can smell me. I love it. This is the 4th fragrance I've smelled with the "SMW scent DNA" and I want to do a brief comparison between them. The performance of Al Wisam Day is way better than both Silver Mountain Water and Mefisto, but Club de Nuit Sillage is the strongest, sharpest, most potent and most abrasive among the four I've mentioned, Sillage is nuclear and has a prominent metallic and inky feel to it (imagine a razorblade dipped in radioactive ink, that is what I imagine Sillage is like) and thus can be unwearable in indoor settings such as the office and school and lasts too long on skin (it lasts 10+ hours on my skin, often lasting until nighttime). Meanwhile, Silver Mountain Water becomes an intimate skin scent in 30 minutes, Mefisto lasts 4-6 hours with average projection. In my opinion, Al Wisam Day is the most perfectly balanced among these four fragrances – it is not too loud and not too weak, and lasts the right amount of time that by nighttime it fades away and I could spray on another perfume better suited for the night. Al Wisam Day, in my opinion, is the best among these 4 fragrances.

This is my 2nd Rasasi fragrance. The first was La Yuqawam. I think this house gets kind of categorized with Armaf's and some of the other arabic houses that market fragrances with striking similarities to niche Western frags. First, I've stopped referring to these as clones because they are simply made for a different market. It's not fair to assume "clone". We are just getting access to products marketed towards the east, and we have no idea if the Western houses weren't copying them. Now, the eastern houses I've come across do vary some in packaging and quality. I'd put Rasasi at the top of packaging, and quality. They are crem de la crem. They surpass even the highest designer's here. The box this thing comes in is like a tailor made present to a prince or something. La Yuqawam came in a velvet wooden box. Talk about attention to detail. The fragrances are Dior, or Guerlain quality. Rasasi quality is significantly high. These fragrances are exquisite. My Al Haramain L'aventure is in this category by Al haramain, but I'm not sure all of their frags are as high quality as Rasasi. Then, Armaf frags are a bit more simply packaged, cheaper. However, Armaf fragrances are about in the average western designer category. This Rasasi though is not average designer comparable though. I put Guerlain and Dior, maybe Chanel in an upper tier of Western fragrance houses, and Rasasi fragrances sit with them. Great stuff guys. This company doesn't deserve to be referred to as a "clone" company. They just might have been the one's getting copied. Let's get real guys and gals.

A delightful gem from the Arab undergrowth (rising like a baobab, quite rightly so)... It's been hanging around in my collection for a while now, but today, out of the blue, I felt the urge to say something about it. In fact, it's my first review of 2024, and dedicating it to a lovely creation feels obligatory! A truly unique fragrance. The opening never fully convinces me: it drifts off into a chilly and slightly discordant direction, with lavender and geranium having a real throwdown for the first ten/fifteen minutes, only to surrender to a fabulous rose, the true Queen of the concoction. It emerges fresh and luminous but strangely creamy and milky, and it's not alone: sage with its woodland green touch and sandalwood further brightening up this radiant heart that pulses for quite some time. The fragrance slowly mellows out, picking up softer and more caressing nuances along the way from musk, amber (more ambroxan style, if anything), a modern and icy oakmoss. The oud doesn't make an appearance, and I swear, I don't miss it one bit here because the composition is all about fresh, clean, airy, and aromatic tones and - needless to say - totally unisex. A really good scent. The fougere component is very noticeable and pleasantly balanced by the flowers, amber, and musks that warm it up, giving structure and body, ensuring that Al Wisam isn't too fleeting but at the same time, doesn't fall into the classic category of overpowering Oriental fragrances. Good, really good, versatile, radiant, suitable for everyone and for all year round. Delightful.

I'm here to explain the very different reviews of this fragrance... apparently there was some sort of reformulation, because I have two authentic bottles of this that smell completely different! (2017 and 2020) The 2017 bottle is absolutely a rose scent. The rose is the same one you'll find in Tom Ford Noir de Noir, and in spite of the metallic notes, it does NOT smell like Silver Mountain Water to me. Honestly, I think Charriol Royal White (another metallic rose scent that is NOT a SMW clone) smells closer to SMW than this bottle. The 2020 bottle, however, is probably tied with Armaf's Derby Club House Blanche for being one of the best SMW clones I've found! It's less floral than Derby Club House Blanche, however it is SO strong! If I only want to wear this for a few hours, I can use just ONE spray! But 3-4 sprays? Then it'll last until the next morning. I thought it was a fluke, but I just keep being impressed by its longevity and projection. A light, bright, sharp, and very accurate SMW scent, with the power to cut through the smell of a steak dinner. Truly phenomenal. So, apparently people were inaccurately comparing this to SMW originally, and Rasasi just decided to go with it and flex their cloning muscle to actually clone SMW?! Either way, the end result, these newer bottles of this fragrance, are phenomenal. Not so much of a fan of the older 2017 bottle, personally. I like the 2020 bottle so much, I purchased a backup bottle just in case it changes again or suffers any batch variation.

I absolutely love this stuff. This is my best blind buy to date (not that I've made very many). I smell the bergamot, rose, musk, ambergris/ambroxan (not amber), a hint of sandalwood, and other florals which I presume are geranium and lavender. I'm sure most people looking at this page are checking this out due to the comparisons to Silver Mountain Water. I own a 120mL bottle of Silver Mountain Water and I absolutely love it. I wanted to check this out because I'd heard it is like SMW, but slightly different. I agree that is just like SMW, but without the ink note. If you like Silver Mountain Water, but can't get past the ink note, buy Al-Wisam Day. This is the closest clone of any fragrance I have smelled. It is much closer to Silver Mountain Water than Armaf CDNIM, AB Spirit Silver, and Insurrection Pure II are to Aventus. In my opinion, Al-Wisam Day is also a higher quality fragrance than those. The only complaint I could come up with is longevity, which I've heard others mention, but I received compliments from this when I could no longer smell it and thought it was long gone. That leads me to believe this actually has decent performance and the complaints on longevity can be attributed to olfactory fatigue. Will I continue to buy SMW? Probably, because it's one of my favorite fragrances, but I already bought a back-up bottle of Al-Wisam Day while the price is low. That should tell you how highly I think of this juice.

Don't get me wrong - it is an amazing fragrance - it terms of composition it is in my opinion the best SMW clone out there..however.. My bottle arrived a month ago and is definitely legit - 100% original - no doubts about it. Nevertheless, the juice must have been recently watered down drastically (comparing with my previous bottle). After 20 (!) sprays it lasts on my skin for 30 minutes max - later hardy ever noticeable - silage zero -(!!). I though there might be sth wrong with my nose - I did several tests with my gf and with some colleagues at work - they could not smell literally anything one hour after the application. I even sprayed it on a female friend of mine to check how it behaves on a different skin - she also loved it - for 30 min - later she could not smell it anymore. My perfume is from December 2016 - and it is a joke in the bottle - I use it now exclusively after evening shower before I go to bed - it lasts exactly the time i need to fall asleep :/ You have been warned. PS. My Rasasi Entebaa arrived 2 days ago - a truly amazing juice - and again - 20 sprays and it fades away after 2 hours (!!!) Rasasi why??? This is not fair. As @Trab correctly mentioned, if you keep on watering down your best sellers this might be 'the beginning of the end' for you. You have just lost another loyal client - I'm done with rasasi for now

This is by far the best clone I've tried yet. I'd be very surprised if most folks, "frag heads" included, would be able to differentiate this from SMW. No need to list all the notes, although I will say the rose is pretty noticeable. The only down side of this one when compared to it's more expensive big brother, is it falls off a cliff around hour 6. I smell this all day (silage is pretty darn good), but once it starts to waver, it's gone in 30-60 minutes. And I mean all the way gone. That's where the difference with SMW becomes apparent, but then again, that's where the true colors of all Creed clones comes out. They just don't have the same richness of the signature Creed base. Pineapple Vintage Intense and Bondno9.com do a pretty good job of approximating it, especially for the price of the former, but still not quite like the original. So, you get about 90% of SMW (closer to 99% in the first stanza) but that rich Creed base is lacking after a number of hours. For something so much cheaper, that's not even a knock, really, since it's so good for the first few hours. Definitely bottle-worth if you want a darker, floral, rose-heavy but not overly feminine scent, and especially if you want a SMW substitute to conserve the good stuff, or because you don't want to shell out the dollars in the first place.

This is a great scent. I will say that this is obviously not a 1 to 1 for SMW due to the rose. But it is VERY similar. WARNING: If you do not like rose fragrances, do not buy this fragrance. To my nose at least, this is a ROSE fragrance. Rose is the dominant note throughout this. Also if you are quick to get headaches, this may not be a great fragrance. This fragrance is SHARP and clean just like SMW. It has a piercing, and metallic, fresh smelling rose. BE WARNED. I can say that this fragrance has a minimum of 2hrs of projection, likely much more. As soon as i got to work my frag brother (who owns SMW and lots of niche) could smell it and said it smelled good. Had to be 5-6ft away from me. Don't over spray this. I did 5 sprays (3 on neck and 2 on shirt) and that seems enough. All in all it is a great alternative to SMW especially if you like rose. Plus i think it was $30 on Jomashop. I will say that the bottle itself is trash. The white and silver you see are all cheap plastic. I ordered a new bottle that i will be putting it in. A great buy.

Was debating between this and Azha Mountaineer but I bit the bullet and got this. I'd say fragrances with the SMW DNA are fairly linear. This honestly might be a step up from SMW with that added rose. Al Wisam Day, and by extension, SMW clones have that airy, fresh, and addicting musk-citrus-floral combo that I just love. This adds in rose which makes it more elegant than other clones, I can't point it out specifically but it's slightly different in a good way. This, to me, is the cleanest smelling fragrance OAT, not in a soapy way like say Fakhar black but in an airy, classy, well put together way. Aside from the juice, the bottle is really cheap and plasticky and squeaky, the cap also needs some lubrication. When wearing CDN Sillage, I have been told it smells bug spray ish. I guess that would translate over here, but I'm not sure yet! Performance on this for a freshie is monstrous, it projects loud and it has great longevity, honestly it's on par with the gourmands I have. A great buy, definitely worth copping.

I bought this fragrance blindly as I was on the hunt for an affordable SMW type scent that would have a better longevity (I own a decant of a recent batch of SMW and it really doesn't last longer than one hour, if not less). AWD has a pleasant scent and could easily become a signature scent as it it very versatile. It has a nice smooth woody quality that SMW doesn't have. Personally I was not so fond of the late drydown on my skin, it became a bit stale, funky. However that is not why I eventually sold it. On my skin the juice wouldn't last longer than 30 minutes, so I don't understand that other people get way more than that. Olfactory fatigue perhaps? Fragrances honestly don't have to last 8+ hours on my skin, I am totally fine with respraying every 3 hours, but half an hour is just not acceptable. I went for Armaf Sillage (as alternative for SMW) instead. Had to get used to the heavy lemon in the opening for a while. Owning both would be redundant.

I'm a huge Creed fan and own SMW, amongst others, and thought i'd see for myself what the 'Creed Clone' hype was all about and have ordered Al Wisam Day and a few more to compare them to the originals. To get straight down to it, I can't fault this scent at all. I'd buy it and wear it even if I'd never smelled SMW, it's that good. Sure it doesn't have the ink type note at the start but other than that Initial minute or two after first spray, this soon tracks along nicely with SMW, on my skin anyway. Longevity is good, 10+ hours, with projection of circa 4-5 feet for the first 3 hours and then drawing back to arms length and then dying down to a skin scent from 10 hours onwards. Could still smell it the next day on my forearms having showered, so the quality of the juice is clear. This is a great scent in it's own right AND a remarkable SMW copy, I'd still buy SMW as I adore it but will also always have a bottle of this on hand as it's that good.

Wow. For some reason my original review was deleted because I can't find it in my profile. So, here's an updated version. I own both Al Wisam Day and Supremacy In Heaven that I recently acquired for about 3 months now. Get SIH if you want a brighter citrus with, inky with a heavy emphasis on ambroxan in the opening or AWD if you want an air rosey opening with a touch of middle eastern vibe. I like both but slightly towards AWD because this is smoother and sophisticated(way more classy, can dress up). So, more versatile and can be worn year round. SIH is more geared towards Spring and Summer. The inky/heavy ambroxan opening and mid can get annoying. PS: I can vouch for Entebaa as it can be worn in summer evenings and Spring/Autumn with cooler weather. It's a denser and sweeter, fruiter version of AWD that makes it slightly more feminine. Smells like port wine or Sangria and I would love this on a woman. Quite sexy.

Usually I don't like perfumes where roses are prominent. This is rare exception. Rose here is one of, if not the most prominent smell from 5 min after spraying all the way to the end... but it is not overly sweet and suffocating rose, but lightest and creamiest rose I experienced in men's perfume.Creaminess comes from superior quality sandalwood. Yes, it is very similar to Creed's Silver Mountain Water, probably 80% similarity. And it has probably 90% similarity to Al-Rehab Silver. I would say it has more rose and sandalwood, which makes it creamier than SMW, and it has about 5-6 times better longevity and twice better projection and silage than Silver. Actually, I would even dare to say it has better longevity than SMW. Also, despite of being marketed as male only scent, it's incredible softness and creaminess makes it very unisex. Definitely appropriate for office, and very safe blind buy.

I don't know if the 2022 November batch is watered down or maybe my nose is broken, but I literally can't even smell it that well, the projection is just not there, I sprayed it on my shirt and I could smell it the day after, but it doesn't have the projection you want... even when I sprayed it on and smelled it on myself I could hardly smell it ;P I was very excited about this one, I will do my best to see if it's just this batch. EDIT 5-1-2025: I sat in a car (1 am to 4 am in the winter) with someone who texted me out of nowhere that it smelled like me the next day in the evening, so the projection is there! (I was very worried at first) I used around 6 sprays though. Will update in the future! :)

Most of the creed clones have tried to copy the top notes of the perfume, and many of them did get there, but wearing a cologne with a very citrusy note for long can get you a headache! This was one of my very few blind buys, it is similar to Ceeed SMW in a sense that it could be a flanker of it called "Creed Spring mountain water" it has a close opening yet this has a floral blend into wet, its like rose water was added to the original recipe and some some musk. Its very beautiful, and has this middle eastern vibe due to the rose note. I just dont agree that it lasts long, although its citrusy yet you can smell that its thick EDP as mentioned although it doesn't last more than few hours with me.

(Jun 2017) Unlike the review directly below, I've found this to last quite some time, and while it's a soft scent, it seems to project fairly well. Unfortunately, I don't see any batch info on it, but it was purchased about a week ago (mid June 2017). The scent itself is very similar to SMW, but less sharp, less ink, less metallic. The rose stands out front for me, and it's only the good parts of a rose scent, a fresh, lively rose, with none of the decay you get with real flowers. Very close behind the rose is bergamot. It's not an inherently masculine or feminine scent... It just stands beautifully on it's own.

Straight out of the box, I acutally didn't like it and was kinda sad. To me smelled like my grandma's house. I tried it again weeks later and it turned into probably my favourite fragrance in my collection. The rose is really pleasant and the musk/woodiness in the dry down are smooth. At first I thought this didn't project very well, as I couldn't smell it on my body unless my nose was upclose, but I wore it yesterday and my friends actually said I smelt really good and the scent stayed after I had gone away, like I left a trail. One of them said "Stay close to me, you're like an air freshner".

Following the fantastic reviews of AWD - Rassai, I couldn't stop myself to test it. Honestly I fell in love with this inexpensive Gem with the first sniff !! I didn't give a second thought & immediately purchased it 3 days back. Overall I like all the notes but surprisingly can't detect any OUD in it & the best longevity i get is 5 hours max, hope i got the authentic AWD :) I haven't got a chance to test CREED-SMW but if this GEM is like it in a way then I am happy to own & wear it. Thank you all for the great reviews which made me own this Scent = 10/10. Longevity= 6/10. Sillage = 7/10.
