Fascinating range of reviews on this one.The Creed snobs hate on this despite the fact that it delivers the same general experience as GIT but lasts twice as long for literally 1/15th the price. This lasts much longer than CW, and is a huge step up in quality from Tres Nuit. Even without looking at price, this is my favorite of the four, and the only one that I would wear even if I had all four in my collection. If you ignore the "this is better than/worse than" reviews, however, there arent' many left, which is not helpful to those who haven't smelled GIT, CW and TN. This fragrance is, first and foremost, a violet bomb. Walk away if violet is not your friend. The violet is freshened by soft citrus - to my nose, more rounded bergamot than fresh grapefruit - and there is a hefty dose of aromatic lavender even if it is not specifically listed (I guarantee that the ingredients will list linalool pretty high in the mix). There are some subtle piney notes here, but nothing close to the overload that you would get from, say, Polo Green. Juniper adds a freshness, and an occasional waft of gin. But can I tell you how tired I am of people using the word "green" to describe a fragrance? "Green" can mean minty, bitter like artemesia, resinous like pine, dank like moss or dark like galbanum. It is a catchphrase that does not inform. The drydown adds some musk and amber, and a very light sandalwood, but galbanum, iris and oakmoss are like the emperor's new clothes. The description of "woody aromatic" is misleading. Violet aromatic with accents of juniper and pine is the takeaway thumbnail. This isn't a complex, ever-changing masterpiece, but then again, neither is GIT no matter how much Blackrock (the owners of Creed) spends on skinny models and billboards. If you are tempted to try GIT, you might want to drop $15 on this first to see if the DNA appeals to you. A full bottle will cost you about the same as a 5ml decant of GIT, and you might like this enough to save your hard-earned cash and just enjoy the heck out of this one.

Back when I started collecting colognes my nose was inexperienced. Now that it’s a little more experienced I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is an exact replica of tres nuit, with only little subtle differences that the average joe couldn’t pick up.I read a few reviews down below and a few people compared this to cool water. This is so far away from cool water in terms of quality it’s not even a conversation to be having. I also seen that some people compared this to Aspen, again too far away in terms of quality to be compared in the same league. Sadly, Cool water is a shell of its former self in regards to preformance, and the same can be said for Aspen. I am one of the lucky few that still has a sealed box of cool water from the year it was released. This scent is absolutely stunning. I get a lot of green, but in the base I get a creamy leathery type of smell. I checked the pyramid and leather isn’t there, maybe some people who are little more experience than me can tell me what it is that I’m smelling, if it’s not leather. Considering I got this from FragranceBuy for 20$ bucks or so, I would even go as far to say that I like this more than Tres nuit. It’s a pretty close dupe of GIT. Obviously you’re getting what you pay for with Creed bottles, but if this was a race between GIT and RE, RE may not be as fast, but it could jog at consistent pace with no breaks to keep up. The longevity I get in this one is insane as well. I easily get between 8 to 10 hours depending on the weather. Beware of others saying this one is a dud. Maybe it’s a body chemistry thing if it doesn’t work for them. I tested this juice on 3 other friends and they all got roughly the same amount of performance as I did. One friend said it lasted him 12 hours and stayed on his clothes work about a week. 9/10

Like most people, I imagine, I bought this for the "substitutes' bench" for days when Creed's Green Irish Tweed would be too costly as an everyday wear. I already have Armaf's Tres Nuit - in addition to GIT - so I have a good basis for comparison. Tres Nuit doesn't open much like GIT but grows increasingly like it as it dries down. By comparison Egra is shockingly like GIT straight out of the flask, then early in the drydown it becomes a little different - perhaps 'more faint' (in its resemblance to GIT at a similar stage of drydown) is more accurate, and then on drydown rallies again in its similarlity but with some slight hint of some unlisted note counterbalancing the slightly sweet sandalwood - a bit of vetiver, wormwood? This is a very close GIT clone 90-95% (I'd rate Trés Nuit 75-80%) - but make no mistake - it's 100% a superb fragrance. While incredibly fresh it's streets ahead of the fashionable 'freshies' (Bleu de Chanel etc etc) in that it's both more subtle, less synthethic smelling and more complex than most of them. Despite what's written on the box - claptrap about it being a 'darker and warmer oriental fragrance - Egra is completely in line with western taste and reminiscent of Creed and Chanel at their best when producing men's fragrances. The price is phenomenal - it's under £20 for 100mls - but this would be meaningless of course if it weren't good - and it's more than good, it's superb.

Wanted to re-review this as my vote for this originally was a strong like but has grown into a very strong love. Now,actually it’s 1 of my favorites ! Egra opens with a very fresh,green outdoorsy smell that’s very crisp but also at the same time slightly powdery giving this depth and its very slightly synthetic but still beautiful in my opinion. As the scent dies down it does remain pretty much the same but it does start to get more powdery,smooth and rich smelling. In the drydown this actually smells pretty luxurious and doesn’t reflect the price point at all ! Very lovely scent In comparisons to GIT I’d say this is the closest clone that I’ve tried so far(I have yet to try knight) and in comparisons to the other clones it has some of the sweetness of Tres Nuit and a lot of the green qualities of Aspen. If I had to compare this to anything though I’d say this a more refined Aspen. Performance on this is very good as well ! It projects moderately for 2 hours but lasts on my skin a total of 12 hrs. It’s perfect for work as it’s very smooth and inoffensive and is noticeable but not loud. I’ve received many compliments from this scent and my fiancée loved this so much she actually bought me a backup bottle. Overall rating-8.5 out of 10 ! Amazing scent that has great performance and has a good price tag as well

Rasasi Egra was the next step in my journey of trying to find an affordable GIT-inspired fragrance. I had previously owned Armaf Tres Nuit and enjoyed it, but wasn't satisfied with its performance, and I generally enjoy Rasasi as a house so I decided to try this one next. Right away, this seems smoother and a little more natural than Tres Nuit (and don't even compare it to the modern formulation of Cool Water...) with the green notes supporting the violet leaf. It's still plenty fresh, but with a tad more depth. Terrific opening. Performance? Eh, it's about as expected. Around 6 hours longevity with moderate/mild sillage. Still, better than Tres Nuit. Unfortunately, this runs into the usual Rasasi pitfall of lack of availability in the US market. Fragrancebuy (Canada) sells it for about $20 USD, which is a steal, so definitely look there first before thinking about the ridiculous prices this is going for on eBay. Overall, I'm pleased with Egra. It does its job just fine and I would definitely take it over Tres Nuit, Aspen, Cool Water, etc. etc. etc. Just make sure you can get it for a low price, because that would have been a sticking point otherwise.

Definitely a lot smoother and a bit mellowed down opening than GIT, what I like is among the various clones of GIT this one lasts the longest and takes almost 6-7 hours before becoming a skin scent. I find the silage also better in this one compared to other clones. And when I say clones I am not considering Davidoff Cool Water as a clone of GIT (as best it can be considered in the same fragrance family but more aquatic and mintier and less green). My nose still marginally prefers Davidoff Cool Water over GIT or Egra or any other clone and all that I really wish for is Coty makes Cool Water last a bit longer or brings an EDP version of the OG with at least 8 hours of lasting capacity. For the price this is a blind buy, however might not be suitable for everyone's nose as this is not anything modern rather a clone of 39 (or 38??) year old fragrance which has been reformulated over years. To me this is very classy, can easily be worn both in formal occasions like office or casually, primarily a summer day fragrance that performs the best in high heat but can work in spring, rains and early fall as well.

Finally, I have got this one too! Being an addict of Davidoff's Cool Water and Coty's Aspen I wanted to see how this one is doing and It did not let me down at all. It is absolutely, 100% on the same path like the ones mentioned above. I love this juice. I did the comparison and I put Egra on left hand, and Cool Water on the right hand and I found them 95% identical. Somehow Egra seemed a bit stronger, more potent and slightly sweeter but it could be the fact that it is EDP concentration or the fact that Cool Water is being reformulated since its 1988 release. Nonetheless I love them both and both are so affordable! Must have these classics for hot summer days!

A fragrance i bought because of the negative reviews. It's a banger. Everyone's inability to decide whether it's a bad dupe of Green Irish Tweed or Cool Water told me it wouldn't actually smell like either. And it doesn't. The Irish probably isn't real, but it's nice and it's sexy. The juniper and spruce rock hard and there's a used bedsheets Kouros dirty muskiness that's cute by the ozonic values of the violet leaf. It smells old-school and comforting. A nice, masculine anachronism that I find going awesomely on my 43-year-old skin. Fantastic and nothing to get annoyed by as a consumer, considering it costs about the same as a meal at McDonald's.

I disagree that Rasasi Egra is 'not worth owning if you already have GIT clones'. It’s definitely worth owning if you’re disappointed by the short longevity of other clones. I own Coolwater and Egra, and Coolwater, in my experience, dissipates within a couple of hours, whereas Egra is still noticeable after 8. Lasts especially long on clothes. I’m not sure about the projection yet. As for the scent itself, I personally prefer Coolwater because of its marine note, which Egra lacks. But in the drydown, they’re about 95% the same to me, so that’s not a deal breaker + Egra is cheaper

I cannot tell the difference between this and GIT after 15 minutes. And even the opening is very similar. That’s with spraying GIT on one wrist and Egra on the other. My wife could not tell the difference either. We also did a blind test on two paper towels with the same results. I bought it for $16 on Prime day. I ended up buying a second bottle for $19 (regular price) to keep in my work desk for reapplication later in the day. Even buying two, I am way ahead. If you like the GIT DNA, this is close enough. Save yourself $. No one will know it’s a clone but you.

I cannot compare it with GIT (didn't have the pleasure to try Creed). At the opening it is somewhat silmilar to Cool Water, but changes the opening aquatic notes to woodsy ones (if that makes sense). However, later on, it becomes almost indistinguishable from CW's drydown. It's perfect for everyday use in spring, autumn and for summer evenings (it might work during the hot days as well depending in the occasion). Longevity is good to very good, sillage is moderate to good. All in all, it's quite cheap for the quality it offers. Recommended.

Rasasi often makes clones, and their EDP concentrations are really good quality. This is in the same vein as GIT and Cool Water, others have compared them better than I can. All I can say is that this is great, well worth a blind buy. Amazing quality for the price ($25 / 100mL), and a beautiful versatile smell. I think of a clean, sweet, rainy pine forest in the mountains. I wore this extensively during the spring and it now reminds me of rainy days out in nature. Unlike Encre Noire, this is not depressing to wear.

For those who mega fans of GIT, then you're here because you have found the best clone. To be frank, no clone will EVER have the exact style of GIT, simply due to the fact that there isn't going to be Ambergris, which is an essential component of GIT. This is the closest best one and the best kept secret, so definitely purchase it and like I do, just use it to spray on clothes.

It has horrible bottle in my opinion, very clumsy and it has 1970s cheap barber shop feel, but smells fresh, green, very green, got it for 16€, recommend even as blind buy if you never smelled GIT because I think is likeble smell and with 16€ it's one of cheapest fragrance that I don't leave in car or use it as job fragnance. In my opinion has a good versatility.

With a 2017 batch GIT on one arm, and with Egra on the other, I asked my GF to tell me which cost 15x more than the other. She picked Egra and attributed her choice to the fact that it felt airier/lighter than the other which often is the case with the expensive juice. Both smelled equally good, she added. And I wholeheartedly agree.

It's like a higher quality COTY ASPEN mixed with GIT, and moderate strength although the top really does pop out at you for a good hour or so. It's great juice. I love this for the price. Think GIT with an added pine vibe going on from the fir needle oil note. Great bright juice from Rasasi.

I'm really impressed by this one. I love GIT (not a huge fan of Cool Water despite the similarities), and bought this as a day-to-day wear in its place. It isn't a 1-1, it is probably like 85% similar, but that is not an issue for me. This is a great smelling fragrance.

Despite all the hate this is an excellent alternative for Green Irish Tweed, is way greener than Cool Water and last longer than the both of them, I recommended 8 out 10 due to it's value and I don't mind if is a bit synthetic, it's smells really good.

Very fresh, mild, manly, green and noble. Good longevity and silage. My wife's favorite man perfume :) The bottle design is elegant, stylish and pleasant. One of my great appreciated favorit! Excellent job from Rasasi house. 10/10

Stronger version of cool water minus the aquatic accord. Great price as well ~€17/100ml. I’ve never smelled Tres Nuit or GIT but unless TN or any other clone has better performance than this I see no reason to own multiple.

If the color green had a scent, this is it. Very nice green, herbal vibe. Close to GIT for sure. Just picked up a bottle today, has production date of May 2023. Lasted about 6 hours on me today with decent projection.

I got it for 15usd and oh boy was it a great deal! Although nothing in the notes indicates it on my skin it smells similar to Durance Fresh Mint. Very fresh, strong performance, happy and uplifting.

Layer it with Bentley Momentum Intense and you'll have an aromatic fougère bomb at your fingertips. This fragrance has an insane performance to price ratio.

This smashes out cool water and all other GIT clones this is pure Manly goodness for one heck of a good price, get this immediately! 🤌🏼

Egra is a very good value budget alternative for GIT. Stronger and more aromatic just doesn't have the amberguis and ozonic in GIT.

MARVELOUS! Best $15 i've ever spent in my fragrance journey so far. Hands down. You just can't go wrong with this scent to be honest. I just love the smell. If i had to put the scent into words, it's kind of like a smoother as well as more mature version of Cool Water with a greener touch. This latter has a more aquatic/marine/shower-gel vibe, whereas Egra has a smoother/greener/sweeter scent. In short, I would dare to say I find Egra like an overall Cool Water upgrade, at least to my nose. I like it better to be honest. If you like CW, pull the trigger on this one. You won't regret at all. On the other hand, I can't really say if it gets closer to GIT compared to the rest of the clones since I didn't have the chance to try out every single one of them. Projection is really moderate, although you kind of get noticed. Longevity-wise I can't say anything since it's my first impression right now. EDIT: Longevity is actually stellar. I could still smell it on my skin after 8h, but as i said before, the projection is pretty moderate since pretty much the first hour, and it fades away really, really slowly. It becomes a skin scent up to the 10h~ mark and even more sometimes. Overall, I like Egra for the smell, price and longevity. Is it perfect? Obviously not. I think its projection could be better. Plus, it could smell more natural, less synthetic and all that stuff, but we're talking about a $20 fragrance. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for, which is something apparently lots of people don't understand or just don't want to. You can't expect the same quality as GIT's which costs like 10 times more. I consider this fragrance to be a steal, as well as it definitely gets the job done (and that's an understatement). That's my feeling. As I said, you can't go wrong with that price. Rasasi Egra should be more praised. 4/5

After having fully enjoyed a FB of GIT as well as some considerable trial and error with some of its more popular clones, I've finally come to the conclusion that for those who love the original enough that they recognize the level of nuance that comes out of it, there probably is no true substitute. Now having said that, Egra is not a terrible clone, if you like it for what it is without faulting it for what it's not. Egra is like Green Irish Tweed as seen from a slightly warped mirror. It does bear an uncanny, unmistakable resemblance -- but it wanders off the path just a bit. Where GIT features a unique (to me anyway) emphasis on verbena, most clones completely miss that -- Egra included. Where GIT features defining notes of iris, violet leaf and a lurking ambergris, few if any clones can match that -- Egra at least provides a nice punch of iris, but the violet leaf seems to get a bit bogged down by an artificial evergreen accord that pervades Egra. Where GIT features some good note separation, most clones could only dream of doing that -- Egra included. Bottom line is, this is not GIT. But it does achieve a kind of flanker status, for when one is looking for a denser, more foresty/iris forward version, at the expense of some brightness and note separation. I like it enough to layer it (to compensate for what it's missing), but not quite enough for it to be my occasional GIT fix. Verdict is similar for Tres Nuit, Cool Water (new formulation just smells cheap), L'Aventure Knight (possibly the best of the lot). My quest continues... or maybe I just need to pony up again for the real thing.

I've never smelled Creed Green Irish Tweed but I like Armaf Tres Nuit very much. Rasasi Egra for men is supposedly a GIT dupe. It gives me a moderate projection for one hour and after that stays near my skin a delightfully long time, 12 hours easily. The smell is absolutely lovely. Simply put it smells like coniferous forest. I can't decide which one is better, Tres Nuit or this. Egra for men is dryer (but not dry!), more serious in a way, and there's no lavender. I feel like I can layer some sweet fruit scents with Tres Nuit easily but with Egra for men I just don't want to even try. It's like Tres Nuit is an evening version of Egra, if that makes sense. Spruce/fir is a nice touch! After an hour I stick my nose to my arm, exhale to warm up the scent on my skin and then inhale the firry goodness. The fir bit smells quite eralistic even. If you have ever pinched a needle out of fir, chewed it and experienced that acidy taste and smell, it's that note. It's winter time now. Snow and dirt outside. I'm gonna spray myself good with Egra and go out. Who said fresh fragrances can't be used in cold weather? :) Edit: Oh btw, my friend's dog seem to go crazy happy when I'm wearing this. I won't let him lick my skin of course. I just remembered that I wore Egra for Men the first time I met that dog, when he was a puppy. Have I created a positive memory for my dear dog friend that connects him to his puppyhood? ❤

I would have to say that Aamir Ahmed's review below coincides with my impressions after Wearing Egra a couple times. It's a milder less synthetic version of Aspen (which I also like but gets a bit chemical if oversprayed) and therefore a bit more versatile. It's a good fresh green scent. Performance and longevity is moderate, a safe scent for the workplace and good for spring/summer months. For people comparing to Cool Water and GIT, I can say Egra is only similar in the fresh green impressions, Cool Water is one of my favourite fragrances so I can tell the differences between these scents quickly. Egra is somewhat linear whereas Cool Water has a great dark tobacco drydown. GIT is obviously a whole different animal, I have had a few 5ml decants of it through the years and it IS beautiful but in my mind just too high a price, you could buy 5-6 fragrances (including Cool Water) which is essentially a yearly fragrance wardrobe for the same price as one bottle of GIT. Anyway Egra for Men is a safe bet for fans of Green scents Nice!

So when I blind bought the bottle about one year ago it had some weird note that I struggled to tolerate. I even wanted to give the bottle away, but at the end kept it at the back of my cabinet. Now it's much smoother and the annoying note blended in and it's not as prominent anymore. It's not my favourite choice, but it has it's place. I really like the fresh opening, but it very quickly changes. On a dry down close to skin you can smell the green fir tree notes and in the air you get laundry detergent powder like smell. It is not juicy fresh. It's dry and clean fresh. Good for office, white collar smell. Professional setting, basic, cold and serious. Old school cologne. Over all good value for money. It also lasts long and projects moderately. If you're into this style and work in a white shirt environment I would recommend it. Buy it spray like 50 sprays and forget about it for a year. It will improve. I recently compared it to GIT and it does smell similar in my opinion.

When you compare them side by side, the original GIT smells a bit fresher, cleaner, and more ozonic than Egra, but the differences are only noticeable when you go back and forth. As it dries down, Egra becomes even closer to GIT, delivering essentially the same green, smooth, almost powdery scent. In my opinion, Rasasi Egra smells higher-quality than Tres Nuit, and its performance is really good—it projects for quite a while and lasts about 6–8 hours, during which you can easily catch whiffs of it as you move around. The only issue I have with Egra is that when I wash it off with water, the leftover scent isn’t very pleasant. I’ve never experienced this with any other fragrance before. If you like the OG and/or Cool Water you will definitely like this one as well. It works as a year-round signature scent that will never go out of style.

This was my favorite GIT dupe before I picked up Arabiyat Prestige Ash'a Oud Noir, which I think is the best Green Irish Tweed alternative. I own the original as well, and can say that Egra is distinctly in the GIT wheelhouse. If you don't like GIT you wont like Egra. I do, so I like it. As far as alternatives, Cool Water is not very similar at all to me and does not have very good performance. I get about 1-1.5 hours of arms length sillage, with up to 6 hours total longevity. I also think Egra is a much better choice than Tres Nuit, lasting longer and smelling better. But, if you can get Ash'a Oud Noir you should. That is the best one on every measure. If you don't do decants for travelling (you should!) then the Egra bottle is perfect since the cap is attached to the bottle permanently, and does a great job protecting the sprayer.

ok, it's difficult not to compare this to coolwater or GIT but it's kinda stuck between them. it isn't as sharp or dry as cool water nor as fresh and green as GIT. but what it does it does it well.. it has a sweeter more subtle refreshing clean version of them both combined... so yes it smells like them both but it is just different enough not to be a clone of either. it will remind you of both, yet i find this charming light hearted way about egra. i have now tried all three and have tried chez bond and also kiton. they all have a similar vibe but do it their own way. if you are looking for something similar and want a long lasting toned down version (not as sharp) then take a look at rasasi's egra. i don't think you'll be disappointed.

Bought a decant of this. Well, first, I have to say I am not a big fan of green fragrances. I can, however, objectively say this is a very good one, the juniper, violet and fir are well blended and it somehow makes sense to me. At the ridiculous price tag, I will probably buy it some time and use it occasionally as I sometimes get fatigue from the usual olfactory groups of fragrances I enjoy. Even the performance is very solid, again, well done, Rasasi!

This scent is definitely in the same area as Green Irish Tweed (GIT). Doing a left hand/right hand comparison with Geoffrey Beene Grey Flannel, the top notes are very similar but Egra has less wood and moss. So it's a lighter fragrance with less 'skank'. Longevity is very good – well over 12 hours on my skin. As an 'homage' to GIT it's pretty good value as it delivers 90% of GIT for around 10% of the asking price.

I know its an old perfume but i got it and its really good, Very close to the ORIGINAL ( creed GIT ), If you love that type of smell you gonna like it, I got it for 13$ !! really cheap, the performane is not bad for the price, quietly 6-7 hours longevity, the sillage is not loud and honestly its below the average, I am not complain for this price, if you can get it less than 15$, just get it its very good.

It's a nice GIT/CW style fragrance. It has a bit more pine then my tres nuit. I've been layering the two of them and enjoying the smell: especially on cool spring afternoons. I do wish it had more projection and lasted a wee bit longer, but tbh I don't think this genre of scent is really meant to fill a room, so it's whatever. Definitely a solid buy.

If you look for the closet clone of GIT this is not , tres nuit is more closer. The open is more green than tres nuit but the green is not like GIT this has more spice from woods then go to middle that like GIT quicker than tres nuit and stable till drydown If you don't like the sweetness of tres nuit this may be replaced for GIT clone

It's been a while since I've sampled Creed's Green Irish Tweed or Davidoff's Cool Water, but from what I recall it makes me agree with those who state that Egra emulates those two. I really like this woody-spicy-sweet scent and I'm getting very good performance. Prices are reasonable enough for a blind buy.

So i was thinking this one was the stronger clone of GIT but thats not. It's a bit darker comparing to the others but smells good, it's less soapy too. I still didn't find a clone strong enough but i will soon. I think the Alharamain Oud Carbon is still the best but this one comes close.

Good GIT DNA. Some people will think this is a bit 'old manish' but that's the green notes. Bottle is a bit like Montale bottles in that the fill level is difficult to see and it's light so it feels like there's no juice left. When there is. Difficult to see when you're going to run out

A great dupe of GIT, on the opening it very much reminds me of the sharp ambrosian hit you get from Cool Water, but after a few minutes it dries much smoother to a more familiar scent (GIT). It will make a great summer scent and I would wear it day or night.

Easy blind buy considering the price, decent fragrance that works well as a daily driver, also the fragrance has a tendency to last long on clothes (I can smell it on my clothes the day after)

I would say good for daily use, fresh, cheap, best for summer, longevity depends on the weather. Went through my first bottle with in 2 months. Better than cool water. Blind buy all day long.

The green notes are harsh & synthetic to my nose. Longevity is decent 10 hrs+ on clothes Considering its cheap price, I’d give it 7/10
