Elite Lady

Elite Lady or Mamselle (as I feel when I wear her), opens with a crisp screech of tart lemon, apple, and blackcurrant - a bright, unripe burst that somehow just about avoids falling into the typical 'fresh for summer' territory. The shift to being a citric floral seems quick: lilac rises to the occasion, supported still by the ever present tart lemon and softer, more restrained mid and base notes. The development to the finale is velvety and unfussed, like the unfurling of a carefully placed lazy-looking pashmina across your delicate shoulders - a lemony‐apple floral anchored by lilac, violets, musk, resins and sandalwood. Eliteness in an unbothered way - the tartness of polish and floral over citric sharpness.

This perfume has been in my collection for almost a year. The opening is still sharp, but not as much as before. The dry down is quite nice now, very woody. It does smell expensive and is very long lasting. I don't get any fruitiness in it.

Just received mine today, thinking it would be a great summer fragrance (based from reviews). And like any blind buy perfume I get, I sprayed it immediately. And I totally despise it! It's so sharp and screechy. To my nose, I don't get the freshy, fruity accord. Just straight oud, mature, typical Middle Eastern vibe which I don't like at all. Now don't get me wrong, I have fragrances with hints of oud or woody notes but I can tolerate them. But this one, this lacks depth, even the drydown didn't compensate! I just want to throw it, even giving it as a gift would be a total risk. Also, I don't think that this is good for summer. It's really hard to trust content creators these days!🥴
