Junoon Leather Pour Homme

This is not a leather fragrance, but this is the good stuff. Wanted to pick-up a leather scent for this winter, so when I saw this in discount in Abu Dhabi, blind bought it. If you care about natural qualities in a perfume, this is from the absolute top shelf. Quality of every single ingredient is obvious. The opening is ridden by one of the most natural musks you can smell, warm heavy spices and little bit of sweet dry florals. Musk and cardamom are the dominating notes in that opening. Then it evolves into sweet, ambery geranium note with a hint of oud. Despite the fact that leather is not listed as an ingredient, whole experience carries somewhat a leathery note, from leafy flowers mixed with agarwood I suppose. Sexual and more masculine, suited for more formal attire occasions. Projection and longevity on skin is enormous for 4-5 hours, then it becomes moderate. Last around 8 hours on skin and lingers forever on clothes. I cannot remember I smelled something alike to this, it is definitely not a dupe or anything like that. Xerjoff 1888 comes close, Nishane Nefs, Kajal Joorie and Ahojas Hind al Oud also are similar to my nose. Smells like a sophisticated night out with people you want to impress. This is a fragrance that creates its own character. Kind of surprised since it is not a leathery leather scent but smells so high quality and unique, I guess kind of a win. Can't recommend this to every woman but if you are a femme fatale type of brunette, you can pull this off easily.

This is what “old money” smells like—both in spirit and in structure. Junoon Leather balances freshness with warm, spicy amber in a way that feels effortlessly confident. This isn’t a fragrance for the guy still figuring himself out. This is for the man with the mustache groomed by habit, not trend; the man in Italian loafers and cashmere, whose suits are tailored because of course they are. His name isn’t just on the office door—it might be on the building. Despite the name, the leather here is subtle to the point of being a suggestion. What does shine is the woods: smooth, polished, and quietly luxurious, reminiscent of the most approachable oud—rich but never overpowering. Florals and spices thread themselves through a fresh, slightly soapy musk, creating a clean presence that sidesteps the cliché “shower gel” territory. All the while, that warm amber base glows steadily underneath. Perfect for date night, this wears like a soft amber aura—inviting, warm, and confident without trying. Yet it’s fresh and sophisticated enough for the office, sending the message: “Take me seriously—because I'm in charge.” And can we talk about the bottle? The design is unique, modern, and unmistakably upscale. The only drawback is that it’s a little awkward to hold when spraying, but visually, it screams $400 niche, not $40 blind buy. A refined bargain that smells far more expensive than it is.

Love at first sniff. I rarely like sweet fragrances but it's hard to resist this sensual proposal. A strong note of cardamom dominates the first hour over a dense and delicious amber core. There's like a bowl of spices (I mean, a lot) giving a solid and robust character, sweet and dry, almost too pungent, but it's very well balanced with florals. Marvelous dark concoction. I think the name "leather" could be misleading, because leather is so mild that you can barely smell it among other more prominent notes. There's even a smoky nuance that is more of a protagonist than leather through the entire life of the fragrance. Oud is not evident. If you look for it, you will probably find it, but it's mostly there for a supporting rol and not be obvious. Pretty linear with excellent projection and lasting. This could easy nose blind you because is very intense for the nose, so definitely do not overspray it. Presentation is beautiful.

StraightUp, this is gloriousness in a bottle! Something quite alluring about this fragrance. It is a fantastic combination of culture, glory, beauty, and panache! It smells classy for sure, projecting a slight hint of the middle East with an affluent and sophisticatedly fresh overtone. Rasasi very hardly disappoints if at all, and this one from that house gets all the praise too - unsurprisingly! Interestingly, it may not be everyone's cup of tea, especially if you're not typically drawn to the complexities of the niche frag world or prefer to play it 'safe' than be daring. update: Having recently sampled Roja Amber Oud, I really think that Rasasi JL is the softer, sweeter, less dirtily rough brother of Roja's offering. Get a sample of both to see it for yourself, and decide if you need to thank me later based on the vast difference in price point

Value for money. The dry down is amazing...powdery sweet rose with hints of oud. I do not pick any leather. Very pleasing and does not smell synthetic. Quite soft and well blended. Unisex and above average longevity with modest sillage. Shukran Habibi!

Oud? I don't smell oud in this, at all. But, I do smell a lot of other nice things. Cardamom, amber, and clove are jumping out. There's an herbal note that I can't place but it makes me think of artemisia. Musk too, a clean white musk tending a little bit powdery but not too much. And I detect tobacco though it is not listed. There's a fresh, slightly medicinal note too, minty almost. It's a very unique composition unlike anything else in my collection. It is somewhat similar to D&G The One but honestly, done better-- it's what The One could have been, but wasn't. It's mysterious in that it's really fresh and sophisticated but different, and I expect this will get compliments. Projection is good too, over all really nice and good value.

This really is similar to ahojas, the opening is spicier while ahojas has a more sweet and balanced opening. In the mid, ahojas becomes dense and heavy, ahojas feels thin in comparision. This is where you can feel the price difference For the price difference, this is the better option as I dont like ahojas that much to pay the extra and this does not feel cheap in any way Just buy this and you wont miss ahojas Performance on this is very good and I have recieved some compliments

The dry down of this remind me of the Moroccan oil hair oil. Great longevity with decent silage No brainier for the price

If you are looking for a leather fragrance, this isn't it. Leather isn't even listed in the notes, nor is it detectable in the scent. Kind of crazy, but "junoon" means "crazy" in Arabic, so it makes sense. Ironically, Junoon Velvet HAS leather but not velvet.. Having said that, this is a complex, alluring scent. It is from one of Rasasi's higher lines, reflected in higher price and lower bottle volume. But for that bump, you get higher quality ingredients and masterful blending. This is resinous, rich, a little sweet, and will leave a wake of mystery that some will find irresistable.

It opens up with a blast of roses mixed with spices and a small hint of agarwood, But not a barn yardish agarwood, just a great quality one, And I get why some people don't get the agarwood because it's very well blended, niche quality indeed. In the dry down I get amber mixed with powdery note and a hint of leather. Longevity 8 hours and it projects well in the first 3 hours. Definitely recommended.

This is nishane nefs. i'm not sure why some folks doesn't see that, but it's obvious
