Oudh Al Boruzz Asrar Indonesia

I have always admired The House of Rasasi for its quality fragrances in budget section. However, Boruzz Line always eluded me due to its unavailability and higher price tag. May be fault lies with Rasasi for its poor marketing of this line. Before beginning, let me state that i have fell head over heels for Asrar Indonesia. If i could, i would buy a bottle as well as backup of it at same time. So you may disregard anything i say next as it could be completely biased opinion. To my nose, it is one of the most gorgeous, high quality, regal, elegant, versatile and many other similar adjectives which i can't think of right now. When you spray this liquid gold (slight exaggeration here, but My Review, My Choice) you get this beautiful note of Grapefruit which is soon joined by one of the most sought after Leathery Tones of Hindi Oud without any barn or fecal nuance. Although that tone recedes into background but it never stops haunting you even when a spicy note of ginger is introduced. Sadly, all good things must come to an end as after about an hour this magical combination of Spice and Wood (Not referring to Creed) ends. Last part of this fragrance is dominated by Rose and sweeter notes which to my nose smells like creamy vanilla and other floral elements. If i have to make associations with other fragrances then imagine opening Grapefruit of Elysium with Leathery tone of Meydan. Note of Rose, similar to that in Rose Cruise with a creamy dry down to Edition Blanche. After thoroughly testing it for about a week, i came to conclusion that performance on this one is excellent but just short of beast mode. On skin it lasts for over 10 hours easily in which it projects for about an arm in first hour then into a close bubble for next 3 hours. On clothes, it lasted for more than 24 hours. It could have lasted more but i didn't bother to keep my sweaty shirt unwashed just for the sake of science. As far as season is concerned, it works great in high heat without being cloying. As your body heats up, it projects more. As for colder months, i think it would do equally good if not better. Occasion wise, this is totally versatile but i would rather keep it for special occasion.

First, the presentation. The package and the vessel: solid, clean, and classy. The reflective metal inlay is beautifully labeled with small etched characters - no printed or affixed labels here - so as to not detract from the quality of the polished mirror. The oud accord, though likely synthetic due to its longevity, is apparent instantly and it is a well crafted and surprisingly bright homage to the complex, dark, and syrupy essential oil. The oud here is not fecal or reminiscent of a stable, it is not animalic, it is clean, woody, and clearly selected for global appreciation. Ginger and a vivacious grapefruit bring with them levity that balances the oud's grounding qualities. A dash of vetiver adds complexity. As Oudh Al Boruzz Asrar Indonesia matures on the skin its sillage declines precipitously and the subtleties grow, fading to an inoffensive fragrance that projects closely but not too close. I consider it bold but absolutely safe for western office use if applied sparingly to skin or fabric (no more than 2 sprays for men). On a man Oudh Al Boruzz Asrar Indonesia presents a classy and polished daytime aura. On a woman, the spicy ginger and bright pamplemousse will certainly combine to assert an atypical, strong, and sunny character. This may be the most lovely and delicate of oud/citrus combinations I've had the pleasure of wearing. I consider Oudh Al Boruzz Asrar Indonesia to be fully unisex, constrained only by the character of the one who has chosen to adorn themself with this liquid delight.

It opens with a big natural smelling barnyard oud (if an aromachemical, it's really a great one!), that will be kept fresh by a supporting ginger/bergamot combo. In the drydown, the oud calms down, to leave some room for a musky (nearly floral) amber, still freshened by bergamot, and very refined. Overall I would agree that it shares a similar structure with AdP Colonia Oud, but here, it stands really a step up in quality and natural feeling. Unfortunately, not in terms of performance, which is moderate (at most) on my skin. Given that, the retail price might be a bit high for what it delivers, but I'm glad I got informed about a great deal (thanks Nurhaci!) that makes scent smell better :) As others have stated before, it might not manage to impress fans of top-end oud fragrances like Areej LeDore or Bortnikoff, but on its own (and with a 50% discount off msrp) I think it might be well worth it for most. For what I've tried as of today, Rasasi is for sure the house that has impressed me the most of all the middle-eastern houses, with their great fragrances at very affordable prices. Please keep on with the great work! A thumbs up for me!

Hmm, does anyone get a Escentric Molecules 02 when they smell this? Maybe I haven't let it sit yet...just arrived today. It's very pleasant and not what I expected from an oud fragrance. This is not pungent at all. Very fresh with the citruses and ginger. This oud is very gentle. Excellent fragrance for those afraid of oud. If oud itself can be fresh, then this is that fragrance. Will definitely return for an update once this has had some time to macerate. Update 2/26/24: This is gonna be really good! I tested it out over the weekend and I will certainly be getting a backup bottle before the price cranks up. So, just a few days of sitting, this is projecting a lot better. It's gotten even more smooth. The citruses and ginger at the top, with the greenish oud makes a beautiful concoction. This fragrance isn't punchy, but very present. I sprayed this around 9am and was still very present when I showered 11 hours later...and not a skin scent at this time. This is elegant and posh.

Let's talk about and Oud which is totally different from the dirty Oud Rose combos filled with manure like odour in the name of Oud. Lol. If you have sniffed actual spicy green Indonesian Oud you will be pleasantly surprised. This is spicy green vetiver like version of Oud with a hint of that golden hue from Indian Oud which will tickle the Oud bone of the discerning noses. The ginger note is smooth spiced up by powdery non sweet iris. The black tea bag note and vetiver add gravity to this making it a mature scent. But its so refreshing and sophistication if you like it you ll be in love with it pretty soon. Remains at arms length with adequate projection. longevity is around 7 to 11 h. Suited for Warm/pleasant weather. Classy. Definitely masculine. Unique and very well blended. If you like this dont forget to sample Meydan by Spirit of Dubai. I had been barking about Asrar for a long time on YouTube. Finally FT notices.

I’m female who shies away from overly feminine scents and I love this - I’d say this was perfectly unisex. Not often can you describe an oud based Arabian scent as fresh, light and airy, but that’s exactly what this is. It has the same transparent but beast-mode quality as Ajmal’s Qafiya line. The saviour in this perky oud is the ginger, bergamot, grapefruit, vetiver and white musk. This zingy citrus pours its acid tang over the (admittedly) gently barnyardy and medicinal Indonesian oud. After the initial citrus-oud blast, it still retains its uplifting zesty nature, but the oud quits its animalic cry to simply become a musky, herbal and uplifting scent. Unfortunately it becomes a close skin-scent after the first hour or so, but it has fantastic longevity on clothes (not so long on skin) and it’s just wonderful. Shame it has to be on the higher end of Rasasi’s price list.

It smells devine! High quality ingredients and a flawless blending. Grapefruit, ginger and oud with some iris flying around on my skin. Very simple composition but luxurious perfume. It's amazing how they managed to mix oud and citruses so gorgeously. This type of oud has animalic (even fecal) nuances they can discourage beginner or intermediate noses, but if you want the real deal, this oud is a good starting point. Once the oud settles down is just a marvelous experience. It's so rich and deep. I love the way you get different facets when you use Asar Indonesia in all four seasons. It's another experience every time. I have a March 2020 batch, projection and longevity are moderate. I was hoping something more powerful to be honest due some reviews talking about beast mode on this one but is ok, otherwise you could be annoyed.

Wow, this one is hard to pin down. As you can see from the comments they go from "It's horrid, strong oud!" To, "It's fresh and great for spring time!" The reality is it goes on like insane oud but the vibe it gives off is fresh. The first time I wore it, I was in a gas station and I asked the girl behind the counter what she thought. I though she would be repulsed by how strong the oud was. Do you know what she said!? "I love it! It is so fresh! Like Polo Green! It smells really good." Mind you, I live by the beach in Los Angeles, not in the Middle East where oud is common. I still can't smell the fresh aspects of this but others can. What a damn chameleon this thing is.

Guys, this stuff is good. So good. I know it says oud in the title but if you're expecting a barnyard or skanky oud, you won't find it here. Lot's of spice on top, ginger and others, that smell very refined. The oud is clean and subdued, in the background for sure. This is a good all around fragrance and can be worn in all seasons. There is something in it that reminds me of Lalique Pour Homme, the lion one, but with a Middle Eastern twist. They don't smell alike, but they remind me of each other. If you like the Lalique you'll probably like this one too. I agree with the other reviewer who says this is a "boss" fragrance. You'll smell like a man and THE man in this one.

I’m stunned. I have never smelled anything like this in my life. The opening is fresh cow pattie - green, pungent and slightly floral. I hate it and I love it. This is not work friendly, unless you work from home. Even though it’s so dank, I can’t stop wanting to smell it. It sort of has a sex funk to it. Imagine getting inside your car and it smells like someone just fcked in the backseat and left their ho stank on it. On dry down, this accord mellows out and changes into a fresh soapy smell. I’m not sure where I would wear this, but I love having it in my repertoire. This is for the brave. BTW - this has 10% fragrance oil, so it’s really in between an EDT and EDP.

What do I say about this absolutely beautiful masterpiece! In my collection this is the one of the most versatile fragrance that I own and I absolutely love how different it smells. The entire Rasasi Boruzz line is pure class but this one tops ny list. I can pull it off in summers, Winters, night or day, dressed up or casual. Fresh, slightly fruity and develops into a rich dense slightly spicy fragrance when the Indonesian oud starts kicking in but it somehow still maintains the fresh vibe. This is not your typical barnyard type oud accord that's associated with indian oud. It's a crowd pleaser and gets a lot of compliments.

Completely disagree with the "Review" under mine. You must try this as it contains real oud for sure, and is quite elegant and beautifully blended. Definitely not feminine and anyone can pull it off. It's "western friendly", can be simplified as a real oud alternative to TF Oud Wood and the like. I own artisanal ouds from distillers like Ensar, Adam, JKDLapp and enjoy oud attars from ASAQ, so I have some experience with the material. As far as I am concerned, Rasasi succeeded in their goal of creating a high end line with this masterpiece. A cut above, this is not your standard Rasasi (which also has great standouts).

Outside of smelling posh, elegant, and sophisticated...this fragrance is kinda difficult for me to describe. It starts off with this grapefruit and ginger at the top, then this smooth greenish oud comes into the fray. It turns woody, like someone is walking around a forest, but not inside one. No need to worry about the lifespan of this one. If the smell fits, you got a gem. This is a more pricy offering for Rasasi, but worth it. This is oud for people scared of oud. NOTHING scanky here; all smooth woody vibes. No need for the ratings...this is 10's across the board. This was deserving of a 2nd review.

if a person has experienced different kind of oud, one can tell the quality of each.this is one of the finest oud based fragrances which is raw yet beautiful, it reminded me of the quality of MFK, its kinda simialr to cashmere and silk mood from that house but less playful and on your face. just sitting at a desert, enjoying the wind wearing a jubah, and smelling this from the wrist... thats how i picture this....this is posh and as good as it gets....thank you Rasasi for giving us some of the best fragrances....ill cherish this. 10/10... masterpiece(not for everyone i suppose, only if you love oud)

Very impressive blend, I'm pretty shocked this is out of the house of Rasasi, normally known for their budget blends and "twists" of other brands releases. Extremely well balanced oud base against a robust grapefruit and ginger. I'm somewhat reminded of what M7 was trying to represent (which I have about 40ml left of a vintage). They are not the same scent though just to be clear, this one is more juicy, spicier and woodier. Class from start to finish, I could see this being a signature scent for some.

Agree with the review below mine, disagreeing with the one below theirs (lol, let's keep this going.) This is, to me, what I had hoped Acqua Di Parma's Oud would be like. While it's nice in its own right, ADP's slightly sour opening is personally a bit of a turn-off. Here, the Oud is the base everything else sits on. The floral and citrus notes waft off, and combine with, it to provide a degree of fresh elegance that's not often found in Oud fragrances which tend to lean on the heavier side.

A wonderful masterpiece from Rasasi made with real oud, unlike the synthetic crap used in occidental oud fragrances. A very pleasant chypre fragrance, blended beautifully. It needs time to be appreciated and it may not be to everyone's taste, but it puts a smile on my face and I find myself reaching out for it more often than other fragrances in my collection. Received compliments when wearing this. The oud is slightly metallic and medicinal which may be a put-off for non-connoisseurs.

This may just be the classiest perfume I've ever laid my nose on. Luxurious, appropriate for almost any weather, strong middle-eastern backbone with the oud, yet smells fresh and western enough to not offend any noses. Just enough of an exotic touch to give it an air of intrigue. If you love gentlemanly perfumes like Grey Vetiver by Tom Ford, Safari Extreme by Abdul Samad Al Qurashi, and Reflection Man by Amouage then definitely check this one out. Part of my top 5 scents ever.

This is just a beautiful fragrance truly stunning with great performance and sillage true beast mode and it does it all in a fantastic way. When i wear this fragrance it instantly reminds me of walking through the atlantis hotel in dubai lovely fresh spicy woody slightly citrus with a hint of beautiful oud. After testing this i have ordered not one but two full bottles thats how much i love this fragrance. Another great from the wonderful house of Rasasi *****
