Rayhaan Elixir

(It is worth noting that I apply a layer of lotion before I apply fragrance so this review is based off of the cologne + lotion) WOW! This is easily my favorite in my collection and it’s also my most complimented fragrance. My buddy has the actual Le Male Elixir so I got curious and brought it over so we could compare. When I tell you this is 1:1, I mean this is 1:1. In the air, on skin, and on paper, neither of us could tell the difference. Idk how Rayhaan did it but they really cooked with this one. One word of advice though, I recommend macerating this one because it turned into a beast mode fragrance for me after maceration. Ok so I got this for Christmas last year and started maceration toward the beginning of March. Out of the box, it was a very warm, vanilla, and spicy scent. The projection was nice with about a foot from my neck and about 5 hours before becoming a skin scent according to my mom, dad, and friend. The longevity was at around 7-8 hours I would say so it was great for school at the time. After I took it out about 2 weeks ago, my socks were blown off! I sprayed it away from me in a still room on a tester strip. Almost instantaneously, maybe about a half a second after spraying, I could already smell how amazing this was in the air. On skin, it smells like a very expensive warm and spicy vanilla and I know that’s kinda what I said beforehand but I really don’t know how to describe this besides smelling like warm, spicy with a hint of woodiness, vanilla, sexiness, and wealth. I don’t know what happened but this thing became AMPLIFIED. The projection went from like a foot to like 3 feet! And it projects for around 7 hours now. The longevity is definitely wayyy better lasting about 11-12 hours on my skin and 1 wash on my clothes but disappeared with the next. I think this fragrance is perfect for winter time and dates yet still enjoyable enough for really any occasion. Overall, this is a BEAST MODE winter/fall fragrance and I highly recommend you pick this up if you want something quality if you’re on a budget. I give this a very strong 10/10!

Overall thoughts and scent profile: Amazing smooth, sweet and fresh scent profile, you get some honey and vanilla sweetness (but in a smooth non cloying way, far less in your face compared to that strong honey in Xerjoff Naxos or Rayhaan Italia), with minty freshness, but also you get some airiness from that lavender. I'd say you can wear this pretty much all year round, it's not cloying at all and I think you could wear it even in the summer if you wanted to, I definitely will be giving it a try. It smells incredible out of the box even pre-maceration, and it just gets even smoother and slightly better performing after maceration. Easily one of the best fragrances I've ever smelled, not just for clones, to me it absolutely smells better than the original jpg le male elixir, definitely more wearable and more premium smelling too. Probably gonna be my signature scent, very easily wearable and is one of the best fragrances when it comes to mass appeal. Presentation and bottle quality: Very nice looking bottle, although the plastic exterior cover slightly cheapens the feel, would've loved a magnetic bottlecap like on Rayhaan Italia, but either way the pressurized atomizer is one of the best i've tried on any fragrance. Performance: Rayhaan Elixir doesn't have the most insane projection, but it smells so good that it doesn't really matter, if you really need maximum projection you can just use a decant and reapply every few hours. On skin it projects for maybe 1-2 hours and lasts for maybe 10. On fabrics it projects for around 2-4 hours, and lasts for around 20 hours. Blind buy factor: Easy blind buy unless you know you dislike any of the listed notes, continuing upon what I wrote earlier, it smells like minty lavender with some (mild) honey sweetness. Has huge mass appeal, literally the only fragrance I have that ALL of my friends and family universally like, for reference I've had people that dislike even liquid brun. Final rating: 9.5/10 I would only rate it higher if had better projection, otherwise this is absolute heat.

Beautifully done this scent is and I'm currently smelling this next to JPG elixir and I can say it's 85% close on my skin ! In the air I'd even say 90% but up close you can definitely tell the quality difference ! On its this is a very smooth,creamy,warm and inviting and just smells like a beautiful roasted vanulla candle. The opening on this is slightly synthetic but give it 2 minutes and it really blossoms ! It gets better as time goes on and the drydown is so addicting!! In comparison to JPG Elixir again in the air they are soo hard to tell apart but JPG Elixir is more rich while Raayhaan Elixir has the same profile but slightly more fresh and airy. The biggest noticeable difference is when you really dig in and smell these up close ! JPG Elixir is just as smooth on skin and perfectly balanced as it is in the air while Raayan Elixir up close you get a lot more of a rubbery mint note which isn't off putting but it's just not as pleasant and refined. Performance on Raayhaan Elixir is excellent as well as it lasts me 8-12 hours however JPG Elixir lasted 24+ hours. Raayhaan Elixir also have above average projection whereas JPG even with 2 sprays can be a room filler. Overall rating -8 out of 10 ! The quality isn't as good as the OG but damn is it close and for only a fraction of the price ..IM IMPRESSED!!

The rating seems to be different to the reviews. I have used Arabic frags for a fair few years, without any doubt, they ALL do better with as long a period of maceration and I don’t mean just leave it, I spray at least 5 ml then leave in a cool and dark place,spray nozzle off. This one has a lovely mix of mint and vanilla but the vanilla is not the sweet and overly feminine type. It’s a subjective topic so each will have their own view. Personally, I get many compliments when wearing this. My local pharmacy now sticks Afnan. Lattafa and others , due to me always having a different fragrance when I go. Hey, I got this for 30 GBP when others are asking a minimum of £55. Yes, it had a resemblance to JPG but. In my opinion, nicer and better. I left to macerate for 5 months just to give some idea. ALL of my UAE and Arabic frags get much better with being able to do this. I waited to post this after I got the best from it. I’m also lucky in that I have many to pick from, whilst waiting I recommend this, both personally and as a compliment getter. Look at my profile , to see many of the expensive and niche frags I have. Many I have not yet posted or forgotten to post. Great value and decent performance, especially at the price point I got it for. Do not blind buy folks, there are plenty of decants available.

An update to my last review This scent is still phenomenal. If you want a good clone of Le Male Elixer, This is an amazing contender. I pre-ordered this scent and to my knowledge, there weren't any other LME clones on the market besides the Dua Brand one at the time. Owning it for about five months now, the scent hasn't changed much. It's a little smoother on the opening and the longevity has improved slightly, but either way, I got a good 8+ hours out of it already. The scent is extremely close, the only difference to my nose is RH is a little less sweet. There are a bunch of new LME clones on the market that I haven't tried like Grandeur Elite Tribal Gold, Lattafa The Kingdom, and Atralia Elixer. Not sure if there are any others I'm missing but that's already some decent competition. From the reviews, The Kingdom looks more popular but I haven't tried it. I can still say with confidence, that if you want Le Male Elixer on a budget, this is a great buy. The best way I can describe this is Le Male Elixer, toned down. Less projection and longevity, but still very strong, and it hits all the same notes Le Male Elixer does. This one's still a winner for me. 8/10
