Seville

I got it today. I also have Liquid Brun. I got it for £18, the price is great, there's no difference between this and Liquid Brun. This is cheaper than Liquid Brun, I'll opt for Seville in the future because of the price when my Liquid Brun runs out. I also tried Altair, yes, I'd say it's about 95% the same or even more.

To answer Nerolicanoli's question, you make a dupe of something that has been heavily duped because you believe that your dupe could be better. Has Rayhaan accomplished this with this inspiration? No. However, with both a sample of this that I picked up blind on my right hand and Liquid Brun on my left, I can definitely tell that they are different. I would almost say that Seville pulled back on the Vanilla. Their take is spicier and a little less sweeter than other inspirations. That may appeal to somebody but for me, I came looking for the vanilla. It could be the quality of the materials used that have over taken the other inspirations. I mean, the cinnamon here is a loud driver. The cardamom and the orange blossom has spoken up too. The praline and the vanilla is present but they are riding in the back seat quietly. You would expect that the dry down would take you to Althair Ville and the answer is not really. So it doesn't project as loudly, doesn't have the level of vanilla, and by my nose, doesn't smell the same in the dry down. But it's unmistakably an inspiration of Althair. Like NeroliCanoli, I like the house and won't downgrade it.

Getting this on offer for around £15 (around 20 USD) is a very good deal. For comparative purposes, this doesn't have the same brightness and sweetness as Liquid Brun, which I think suits my taste more. LB does get nicer with some development over time but if I'm not in the mood for the louder aspects then Seville is far more agreeable. I would say it sits in the space between LB and LB Limited Edition, i.e. somewhat darker and denser. I find this to be pretty long-lasting, and pretty linear from my testing of it. I've only really tested while at home, really need to give it a dedicated wear throughout a whole day to fully appreciate it and get a feel for what character it may bring. Already I would say this one is very overlooked, which is surprising given the current profile of Rayhaan and the continued enthusiasm for the scent profile itself. Worth trying at the right price.

Seville by Rayhaan opens with a dominant blast of cinnamon and cardamom, but it’s unfortunately accompanied by a harsh, synthetic chemical edge, something I’ve noticed across many Rayhaan releases. The initial hit can be quite overwhelming. However, if you can push through that aggressive opening, the scent settles into a more tolerable and somewhat pleasant profile. Overall, it’s an average fragrance with a rough start that may not appeal to everyone.

If you’re not able to spot the greed and unoriginality of why, then go ahead and buy your third Althair dupe that smells exactly the same as the one you bought before. I didn’t down vote it, solely because I do like the house and they are a clone house. But, with the plethora of Althair dupes it seems like they are just regurgitating something that’s trending. It’s boring, face it. Bottle does look cool though

NeroliCannoli: “If your not able to spot the greed”.. Mean while PDM out their selling Althair @£270 here in the UK and giving someone a £30 dupe is made out to be a bad thing, all dupes aren’t “exactly” the same.
