The base smooths out with sandalwood and vanilla, adding softness without turning overly sweet. The resinous touch of cistus lingers nicely, leaving a long-lasting and refined trail. Overall, it moves clearly from citrus to spicy and into a resinous woody base. Warm yet dry in texture, it feels best suited for autumn or winter, especially in the evening. A very balanced and elegant blend with sweet mandarin and a vanilla sandalwood backbone with a twist, the stunning cumin note! Which feels like a warm skin combined with a delicate touch of saffron, very behaved and sensual, nonetheless, it gives the fragrance more character, mind you, I can only talk about my perception of it and personal skin chemistry of course, but it feels like magic on me. There's also a light veil of incense that provides a charming touch. Marionette is quite polite but present, despite what the notes may feel like. I also detect a somewhat very soft white floral musk base, almost like the perfume was built over this canvas, which makes all these stronger accords smooth and refined
