Topos Swirling Perfume

In the opening there's an immediate ozonic and mineral vibe... That quite resembles a polished version of an emerald gem dipped in a misty mountainous creek... Airy notes further elevate this combination, making it feel ethereal, humid and almost dewy... As it evolves into the heart, it doesn't really lose the top notes! Instead adding a soft and sparkly spiciness of licorice, and already developing slightly herbal and rooty facets from a beautiful costus note! One that doesn't always agree with my skin, but in Topos it feels just perfect for this scenario! As the base starts to come through, an earthy vetiver comes to the forefront. It beautifully marries into the aforementioned notes, expanding on the green facets while maintaining a luminous approach. There's also a staunchly woody patchouli that encases the composition, mirroring the forest sidelining the small creek... A pale oud note, clearly in a more westernised style, invokes a grounding depth and a hearty warmth in the blend. Overall Topos is, indeed, eminently green... But less so in the traditional herbal/aromatic fashion, and more in a crystalline manner... It's immediately bright, sharpened to shiny perfection, cut masterfully like a precious verdant stone. Enveloped in a hypnotizing ozonic veil, a mineralic mist... Circling back to my initial description, Topos does feel like a naturally faceted emerald shining through... Even if lost in the wayward waters, as they turn into morning mist and drench into the forest soil... It balances a naturalistic feeling with a surgically modern design. A style of fragrance that isn't all too common in my experience, but one that I've come to thoroughly appreciate! Topos also behaves like the proper Extrait that it is, meaning it has a moderate scent bubble, but a very long lasting power! A new kind of green love for me!😍💚
