Red Pearl

Hello friends! I first experienced Red Pearl by taking a chance and ordering a bottle that was only $9.00. As soon as I sprayed it I hopped online and ordered two more bottles for fear that I may never come across it again! This perfume smells so rich. Not as in, "I am a wealthy woman, rich" but in character. It reminds me very much of the perfume my mom used to wear in the 80's called "Raffinee". I don't get a gourmand scent so much as a warm rich floral with a bit of fruit that comes through in the first phase. This perfume has good silage and garnered many compliments. I wore this in Mexico last summer when it was VERY hot and humid. I don't think this necessarily is a "winter" scent. It is enhanced by the heat and humidity of the sun. The bottle is pretty and the "juice" is a golden amber color that expresses the warmth and depth that will come through on your skin. This scent is just so warm, sensual and indulgent. Try it~ I think for the most part it is a unknown winner...Sort of like a small winery that puts out an amazing vintage in small quantities that not many people have heard of, but if head to head with a 96+ pt heavily marketed $$$$ wine in a competition, it would win hands down. 2020 COVID19 Quarantine update~ Revisiting old perfumes to try to cheer my bored self up. If you like big loud florientals you may enjoy this...If you like Amarige, Poison, Raffinee, Victoria's Secret Rapture, or Escada Escada, Fire & Ice by Revlon, or Bob Mackie’s Mackie, you may enjoy this. <3 blessings to all. This is one of my favorites, and I finally figured out why-- on me this smells like Poison, the ORIGINAL Dior Poison, knock-you-on-your-butt-spicy-warm. I bought this in late summer, and I was miffed to see that everyone who reviewed it said it was pretty inexpensive to purchase. Anyhow, it was worth the price. From beginning to end, this is warm, spicy, intoxicating. It has a sweet incense like scent on me, with a hint of the tonka, violet, and fruit--but not like the new very fruity scents. If you loved the middle and dry down of Poison, but can't get past the beginning, this may be the scent for you. On me, this is all the things I love about Poison without the price tag. It's longevity is insane, and after 12+ hours still smells exactly the same on me. This perfume is not by a fashion design house. It is wonderful. It is rich, spicy, warm, distinctive. ***2 years later... This scent does not so much as evolve--as the notes play hide and seek, but always with an over all scent like when it was first warming up and blending with my chemistry. Also--if you love nag champa or dragon blood incense, you should really give this a try!!! I really loved this in the fall and winter, seems overwhelming for summer days but an excellent summer evening scent, especially a humid evening...but beware! She packs a hell of a wallop, spritz with a light hand until you know how it reacts with your chemistry. This follows me, but never gets there before me--and if I am in one place for a bit, will linger after I've left.

The reviews of Red Pearl were tempting, especially because quite a few of my favorite reviewers and perfume quasi-twins are here, rooting for this unknown supah cheap blue light special of a juice in one of the uber tackiest bottles I have seen - in person, the huge red plastic "pearl" top wrapped in gilded plastic planetary rings has to be seen to be appreciated...yikes!. So I had to have it. Surpriiiiise!!!: Yes, Red Pearl is gorgeous in two phases: coming out of the gate munching on pralines and candied flowers and hours later, drying down to sweet amber with a vanilla mainlining habit. Perhaps its my sweets gobbling skin chemistry, but the "in between", ummmm - not so much. On me, it has some off note of citrus, passion fruit and black currants left to macerate too long. However, in my naughty, non-purist way, I have found that a spritz of Honey and The Moon (Tokyo Milk) or Ava Luxe's fabulous "Honey" blend the icky compote back into the other ingredients and creates a perfect bridge between fabulous opening and lovely drydown. Despite the small and easily adjustable issue I had with the not-so-pleasant fruit compote someone left out all night, Red Pearl is worth a LOT more than you will pay for it. So to all the other reviewers on this page, I say thank you - great advice, great discovery, and for (metaphorical) pennies only!

Red Pearl by Paris Bleu is an indie perfume that nobody's heard of. I first bought it from a street vendor in Soho, NYC in 2004. It always reminds me of that trip. It is a spicy amber oriental with a distinctive silage like no other. Years later, I smelled it at an open-air shopping mall in metro Chicago. The silage was left behind by a lady who knows. I searched a long walkway looking for her so I could ask her about it, but I never found her. I always have a bottle of this. Sometimes I get a bottle with a sprayer that sticks, and you can't use it unless you rinse the nozzle with warm water every time. Red Pearl is available online at an affordable price. I noticed availability dropped for a time, and now it is back. Paris Bleu, the original manufacturer, was restructured and now has a different owner, SPCC (Societe Parisienne de Parfums & Cosmetiques.)

Red Pearl is really beautiful. The vanilla is warm and rich, the tonka bean gives it an edge of spice but not too much. It stays on the side of sweet and delicious. Give it a half hour to settle in to the above, the first little bit it's struggling. But once it settles, omg, it's soooo good. The floral, praline, passionfruit, all the other notes listed are balanced and not really ones you can pick out. It just works perfectly. I can get a bit of musk but again, it's not overdone. I found a bottle on an auction. It was under $20 and a blind buy. I'd never heard of this one before. The box it came in was really that of an expensive perfume. It's nestled in almost kind of a display stand when you take the top off. I have 100ml and glad to have it because I doubt I'll find it again.

Just bought a bottle of this for AUS$20. After reading the reviews, and having some horrible expensive mistakes after blind buying, I thought how bad can this be. Well, so far (15 minutes), this is a stunner. Warm, ripe, but not over ripe. Without that OTT blast of white florals that screams at me and makes me headachy. The smell of rich vanilla, luscious fruit with rose and a hint of geranium (ah, rose and geranium one of my all time favourite combos)and FINALLY, a perfume I can SMELL!! So far, this is LOVE! If this stays true, I will be ordering more bottles. I can just see this enriching cold nights, and cold days...but I can also see it working all year round. Very happy indeed. Will update if it all turns to tears...

This really is great bang for buck if you enjoy "florientals" and want to smell like a million bucks but spend peanuts. I agree with Angel10 it does give me some hints of what I love about Hot Couture and similar type perfumes, but it also is very distinctly different in it's own right. The fruits and florals are so lush on my skin atm, I seriously cannot wait for the drydown! Given how much I love this perfume already, I have a feeling that was the best $30 I have spent in a while! I think I can almost guarantee too that my Mum will be trying to pinch this one off me once she smells it...

Bought this un-sniffed and I do love it very much. I can smell the air of Alien by Mugler in the mix, only Red Pearl is more spicy. I like that about it. I find it to be pleasing to my senses and it last a long time on myself. Some fragrances remind me of the Holidays and this is one that makes me think of Christmas. I love the bottle! It is very heavy glass with a gold and red lid. The fragrance is a dark amber. It comes in a sturdy cardboard box that will keep the fragrance fresh for many years. So ladylike and with a hint of powder to it. It is very pleasant.

This is gorgeous!!!! This is what I was expecting seductive red by guess to be only with a cherry twist. I had the opportunity to buy this over a year ago but I thought nah it’s probably grannie style... based on the newer reviews I gave this a shot and I’m so glad I did! Sweet spicy but not heavy. It’s not heave like samsara or amarige but it is like a lighter version of those two mixed. I would call it amarige red or samsara flora. Let’s not get the YouTubers onto this or the price might get hiked and we don’t want that... let’s keep this our lil cheapie 🤫

I just love delightful, somewhat hidden gems from the 90s like this. The packaging is beautiful - it comes in a pretty substantial box in which the fragrance is uprightly cradled in a tray lined with a velvety fabric. The juice is the epitome of rouge. The nectareous passion fruit and currants fluffed with the soft powdery violet and other florals is so elegant. And the sweet, ambery drydown is delicious. If you like White Diamonds en Rouge, Marquis by Remy Marquis, or Always Red by Elizabeth Arden, you'll love this.

Like this very much. Starts with a note that reminds me of a cup of black tea with some milk in it. Then flowers, fruits and vanilla join in and make a slightly sweet and very easy to like light oriental that never fails to put me in a comfy feelgood-mood. Love it most after about 20 minutes when the flower/spices blend is most lovely and that phase lasts many hours. It's an airy and veil-like oriental but with very good staying power. Quite unique stuff actually. I'm glad to have it.

thanks for the reviews girls. i found a great discount in a website. and bought it inspite of hving Victoria perfum already. so my mom says this is wayyyy much better than vs. the smell actually fills the room, its a bit too sweet for me i think. but overall, i love the package, the box, the style, its very beautiful, and the smell stays for such a long time. i just bought it, so need some time to see what the guys will say about it :) but it worths it!!!!!!!! nice Parfüme must buy

A beautifully decadent gourmand! Lots of yummy vanilla, amber, passionfruit, tonka, and praline working in delightful tandem, keeping the scent surprisingly linear for the duration of the day. The floral notes are very fleeting to my nose, a few whispers here and there. Lovely sillage, and long-lasting to boot, at least 8+ hrs on clothes. Will be using this heavily in winter, and the bottle! Positively gorgeous.

I haven't heard about this perfume but I was so glad I blind-bought this in June last year. It smells rich, sophisticated and classic. I always get wowed when I smell it on myself or on my handkerchief. It is truly a gem. My first bottle is nearly empty and I would definitely buy another. It is truly a gem and I love it!

Use to be my signature about 17 years ago and was obsessed. It's quite hard to get in stores in australia. It's quite unique and performs different on everyone. Can be quite strong and quite sweet as well as being soft and feminine. Would suggest testing beforehand to see how it performs on ones self.

Woo - delicious perfume! Brilliant! I looove it! Gourmand! Fruit! Flowers! Lovely rosewood, bitter tonka, delicious yummy praline and beautiful vanilla, amber and musk dry down. It's a gorgeous floral, fruity, woody gourmand. Beautifully sweet, bitter, rich, smooth, dreamy - altogether a delight!

This is an amazing perfume :the scent is Very deep, feminine ,warm ( hot even ) and mysterious.for a sensual and unique allure. There's something devine in it that i can't find in any other fragrance ,a real pleasure to wear ,Aaaand i get plenty of compliments.

this one here is the best parfum i had ever smelled in my life. so nostalgic the women around me used to wear it when i was a kid i always wanted to own it but it's rare to find but i got my hand on one that will be mine the next month.

Oh this brings back memories of my youthful 20's in the early 2000's. Use to be available here in Australia in drug stores and paift perfumery but can't get it anymore. Am still searching for it
