Merge

This perfume isn't one I reach for, but it does capture exactly the inspiration behind it - a sunset by the coast, in summer (coast is optional to me - it still reminds me of summer evenings sat outside in my very not coastal garden) One that I feel that I'll wear more in Summer. It's been a while, so I don't remember how it develops, but I do remember that it wasn't weak in performance or sillage.

It is aquatic, woody with some sweetness and a touch of salt. It's well blended and has decent overall performance. When it comes to the aquatic side of it, think walking along the coastline instead of being on a busy beach resort, the scent reminds me of places like cornwall.

A nice, abstract take on an aquatic fragrance. The salt/beach accord in this I feel all the way through I even get it off the atomiser. There’s a slight citric nuance in the opening from orange and mandarin, the creamy driftwood is really lovely and adds a little texture. It is crazy to me because I actually feel sand... a grittiness. I really felt the inspiration behind this fragrance when wearing it. Beachy. Shoreline washed woods. Sand. Coastal breeze. The base is gorgeous it really sweetens up with the tonka, density from the balsamic labdanum, fluffy musk and still the saltiness remains into the dry down supported by ambergris. Unisex leaning masc I would say but I totally enjoyed wearing this as a female as the dry down is quite sweet. Doesn’t project overly but creates a wonderful scent bubble. But I just adore what inspired this perfume and I feel all of it—very well executed.
