Hammam

One of my earliest memories connected to perfume is my primary school teacher saying that she liked clean, soapy scents. For years, I wondered what a fragrance like that would actually smell like. Of course, over time I came across many fragrances in that style, but none of them answered that question as clearly as this one. Hammam is, in the truest sense, a depiction of a real Turkish bath — and not just any hammam, but one where you leave certain that every minute you spent there was worth it, fully relaxed, with every inch of your skin feeling deeply cleansed. When you go on summer holidays to hotels on the Turkish Riviera, despite the intense heat, if you are brave enough you step into the hammam and enjoy a proper bath; and when the heat of the hammam collides with the heat outside, the moment you step out you feel a sudden, fleeting freshness. This fragrance sits precisely at the intersection of that sensation. And every time I wear it, it makes me feel like a sophisticated gentleman, a true masterpiece.

I enjoy my soapy fragrances, so this is a great addition to my collection. It opens up light, fresh, clean and minty. Not as soapy as I thought it would be, but it still falls in the category. Surprisingly, the dry down is a bit fruity and sweet with some of the soapy aspects lurking in the background. Not a loud projector but you'll be able to enjoy on skin for about 6-8. This is unisex leaning masc. The price could be a lot lower for what it is, but no regrets as I enjoy this.

❀ Hammam Regalien opens like creamy white soap, that is soft and airy, with fleeting hints of citrus that fade quickly. The initial freshness gives way to a more introspective progression: moist heat, diffused light through steam, a sense of cleanliness that feels almost ritualistic. The drydown seems as if you've just stepped out of the hammam, wrapped in warm cotton, with that lingering aura suspended in the air.

Im in my "clean" era. Where although I appreciate all fragrances. I just want to smell clean. Soapy, clean laundry. Whatever the vibe is, I want it. I blind bought this because people say it smells like literally a bar of soap. When I first smelled it I was floored. Soapy yes, but its so much more intriguing then that. It smells like the name suggests...a bath house, a steamy soapy spa. Idk how they made a fragrance smell steamy, but it captures it perfectly. Extremely easy to wear, strong but inoffensive. It doesnt smell like a bar of soap. Its so much more then that. One of my new favorites in my collection
