Divine Tentation

Just wore this out of Jovoy Paris after asking for something special from the store manager. Wow, she's quite a find. I love boozy fragrances (side effect, lataffa), but this one is deserving of her own special space, as the addition of the fig and clove really harmonize beautifully with the rum, vanilla and wood. Very comforting and mellow, just a bit sweeter and more feminine than your average boozy bear. (Don't get me wrong, the store manager that day was a man, and he was wearing it quite well too ;-). 6 hours later, she's still going on strong. Projection is not as strong, but still on the higher side. Hard to shell out 280 euros for a full bottle, but the fact that I can't buy it easily in the US is leaning me to the yes side of maybe-likely...

Wearing this stunner today. While its certainly familial to the Angels Share/ Oajan/Ambre Narguile style fragrances, Divine Tentation is not nearly as high pitched or spiced. There's a smoothness to Divine Tentation that makes you feel like you are wearing a fragrance that costs 3x more. The bright fruitiness of the fig, and booziness from the rum and the patchouli really elevates this into another dimension. I wish it projected longer, but it does keep you in a cozy scent bubble for at least 4-6 hours. The bottles themselves are some of the most stunning I have seen, and collected. After owning this, I dont think I would be able to go back to Angels Share, Oajan or Ambre Narguile.

I've just tried this incredible scent. Thought it'd be too harsh and aggressive, but the truth could not be further from my assumption. Such a complex, beautifully blended, high quality - feeling concoction, oh boy......keep sniffing it on my wrist, simply heavenly, totally unisex! The rum, clove and fig are not too prevalent and pungent! Someone said it is a panty dropper, well, yeah, I couldn't agree with him more on that! HEAVEN!

Absolute magic! Best fall/winter fragrance, it’s warm, comfortable yet sophisticated and sexy. The grown up version of Angel’s Share, much more complex.

If you ever tried pumpkin beer.. this perfume smells like that. Dark, sweet and a little boozy. Smells great. 7/10.

My friend and I went through the discovery set out of 16 scents this was one of the best for both us. Edit: Over a year later. I still struggle with this brand. It's priced for perfection and none of it's fragrances really achieve that. Even with a 20% off offer I found none worthwhile to pull the trigger on. Honestly, my top 3 picks of the brand I might start to consider if they were around 50-60% off. In total 4-5 of my friends tried almost everything from the discovery set I dunno maybe 22 fragrances at the time. None of us bought ANYTHING. Had this tried to compete with L'Artisan Parfumeur at pricing I could see some appeal. Also hate the over the top packaging because well u the consumer pay for it from the crazy cap to the box which is going directly into the trash while also it's really not practical and would hate for that crazy cap to hit my toe.

Does anyone know how I can get my hands on this within the USA? Update: finally got a sample and it's just as amazing as I'd hoped it would be!! I honestly could've blind bought this and been happy. 😜 If I may critique it just a little; I would've added more fig and reduced the peru balsam just a hair. I'm sure fans of Side Effect, Angel's Share, Halcyon, Canadian Tuxedo will adore this one.

Warm spicy rum toddy with vanilla. Nice but more of a candle fragrance. My husband likes this and will wear it. Out of the whole line I only picked Aksoum for myself to wear. The rest of the line leans male, or just sucks.

I have a passionate love affair with Reine de Saba Divine Tentation. When I spray Divine Tentation, I close my eyes out of pure pleasure. Truly an amazing spicy, velvety, a bit boozy potion! It's an October evening. A mysterious old mansion is drowning in autumn leaves' black gold and rust. Pairs are swinging across the wooden floor and their shadows in the candles' light complement the intricate painted walls. A woman in a long velvet dress is taking a break near the window. She looks at the autumn forest outside, not yet fully covered by darkness. Fog hugs trees here and there. The woman is still hot from dancing. The skin on her neck burns from a kiss. She sips some rum from the glass in her hand, takes a bite of fig cake, and accidentally sticks her finger into the fruit on top of it. And when she licks her finger, her waist is grabbed from behind. Without a moment to concentrate or utter anything, her lips meet other lips and the dance goes on...

Smells like many nocturnal things at once. There's no chocolate listed, but there are many ingredients I'd put in an expensive dark chocolate box: figs, clove, rum, cinnamon, a vanilla pod like pure seduction. And there is also that aged wood accord growing with time, boosted with patchouli, smoky amber, hints of tobacco and - again - more clove. Boozy wood: a beautiful darkness. Sounds like everything else nowadays, but let me try to filter it out. The most stunning part about a good artisanal chocolate is that it brings out the taste of things not supposed to be edible: like you're eating a perfume. Its polyphony of flavors takes you to a place: a deep forest, an old hotel lobby. You can feel the surrounding, not just the taste. This, in reverse, is how I feel about this perfume.

Spiced, sweet resinous scent. Cinnamon and clove galore, some resins, patchouli...it just smells like Tobacco Vanille mixed with Oajan to my nose... It is ok, but there are just too many scents with the same profile. A sample is more than enough.
