Eureka

I purchased sacred bond after sampling it through a kind perfume friend and received the samples of all the other fragrances with my order. So I’ll give my first impressions on all and will edit once I have had the chance to give them a full body wear (I don’t know about you but these small samples for me are always only just enough perfume for 1 first impressions spray and then 1 full body wear). This one takes the shared second place with pheromones from the line up for me and has potential for a full bottle (sacred bond being the favorite). I find it quite unique. Nothing comes to mind to put into the “reminds me of section”. I hadn’t expected to like this one based on the notes and I like it a lot on first sniff. To me it’s entirely unisex without leaning over into the masculine territory (I prefer feminine or unisex scents, I don’t like to smell masculine, but you do you!). It’s sweeter than I expected based on the notes. I really do get the coffee and a sweet soft dry down. No harsh patchouli or too much spice (the nutmeg and black pepper also got me worried). I’m excited to try this fully tomorrow!

Eureka is a very interesting scent, as there’s a lot of notes with a very strong character all vying for your attention. More than anything, I actually get a heavy dose of nutmeg which is both warming and spicy, yet incredibly smooth and comforting at the same time. On one hand, you’ve then got the balsamic bitterness of coffee, tolu balsam and black pepper, contrasted by the refreshing smooth metallic nature of voilet leaf and bergamot. All of this rests on a warm, earthy base of patchouli and cardamom. As I said before this scent is interesting, it’s not a love for me but I keep going back to sniff my arm just to try and get more of a sense of what’s going on. Similar to my review of Illusion, I like it enough to wear it but wouldn’t buy a full bottle.

You really need to test this before buying. The drydown smells like Amouage Sunshine woman while the opening is spicy.

I'm getting some cola vibes with this one. Very nice.

The opening is very peppery and spicy in an edible way which I don’t like in perfumes. Later it becomes more perfumery and smooth and reminds be of Bvlgari Black somehow.

This fragrance is to represent, the energy of joy, the light that appears in moments that seem dark, with energizing notes, such as an earthy coffee, barely perceptible, which gives a bitter undertone to the other spicy notes, softened by the floral part and with a light camphorate base.
