Oud Glacial

Surprisingly fresh overture, the ringing mint emerges supreme, victorious, the absolute protagonist for most of the olfactory experience, wrapped in a sweet and soft cloud of almond with very slight floral scents. The blend becomes balsamic, engaging, incredibly harmonious, pleasant, unique in its kind. The Glacial aspect imposes itself in its complexity. At dry down the shy oud immersed in the enveloping warmth of patchouli and white musk emerges elegant, silent, without imposing itself in a characterizing way, a pleasant fragrance that deserves to be tried. Wonderfully unisex.

Camphorated, terpenic, reminds me of blooming labrador tea. Amazing value for money and a must try if you're into natural smelling plant scents, but certainly NOT blind buy safe. Insane performance, good price on discounters. REM can do no wrong with their releases, they shine with quality materials as they grow on you. Similar to Gucci's Mémoire d’une Odeur in which you may find it interesting on first smell, but you still have to learn to like it, and when you do it is love.

It's a mint scent with a little bit of oud at the beginning, somewhere in the background. Doesn't last long but but smells nice and fresh, even unique. There's something more, something green, maybe basil, but I don't know how cypriol oil smells so maybe it's that.

I noticed there had been no review for Oud Glacial, and lo and behold as I started to write this, vdxl pipped me to the post! For the life of this fragrance, which for me is 1-2 hours of moderate projection, moving to 4-5 hours skin scent, the key note is mint. Its surprisingly persistent, but for my taste skirts a little too close to Wrigleys Spearmint gum. The mid-phase florals are what I also think push this juice a little feminine. Don't get me wrong, I have plenty of Rose-forward fragrances I couldn't live without (er, yeah I'm a bloke for the sake of clarity) , but I think it's the Lily of the Valley skewing the mix pour femme. The dry down is, for me, a soft patchouli musk, and oh yes, that ever-present mint still lingering in the background. Despite all this, I find it quirkily pleasant. And I'll still wear this every now and then. I would've appreciated a little more agarwood to at least allow it to live up to the other 50% of its name though! Worth it if you see it on offer. Not a patch on their classic original Patchouli though.

Got it for a bargain at a local drugstore. The lasting power both on skin and clothes is impressive. Starts with a pungent mint, then it settles to a vibrant fresh oud. I can envision myself wearing this beauty as in winter so in summer, but not in the mid-seasons. I get it as quite polarizing/polarized fragrance, not for the faintly-hearted, incredibly original and unique.

This is so minty in the opening, that it reminds me of chewing gum and toothpaste. But in a good way. It then becomes a little honey sweet, but remains fresh and minty. The dry down is slightly camphoric. I couldn't really smell any flowers or wood, but overall I find it a really fresh perfume, ideal for summer and truly unisex.

Pretty strange I'm the first one to review this. To be honest, I bought the 50 ml EDP + 75 ml body lotion at about 20EUR sale. I would say the name perfectly fits the fragrance, except for the oud part. This is a good and realistic interpretation of a mint fragrance. There is some woody note that appears, but it is not your arabian oud. It is followed by some floral notes: the rose overtaken by the aforementioned green mint transforming into peppermint. It's a nice perfume, but I feel that it smells more like an ambient perfume, recalling some tic tac candies. I'll need to check how it smells in the summer time. The longevity and sillage are adequate, but nothing groundbreaking.

This is an extremely original perfume that has a lot of evolution. The first times I used it it didn't convince me but over time we have understood each other more. Its opening is a very particular mix of saffron, animal-type oud and refreshing mint. This is the phase that I like least about the perfume, although I have learned to enjoy it as the neophyte in the world of oud as I am. As it dries down, I like the scent more, when the oud begins to subside and the saffron disappears and I feel the floral behind the mint, mostly composed by muguet and rose to my nose, with a little powdery touch of the violet. When it dries down, it remains on my skin as a mixture of mint, sweet woods, patchouli and musk that I find very pleasant. It seems completely unisex to me, quite versatile in terms of seasons of use, although perhaps above all suitable for use as a “spring-summer oud”, very appropriate for day to day, with a moderate projection and a long duration on my skin of about 8-9 hours. Several times I thought about selling it because not every time I wear it I feel completely comfortable with it but it has something addictive that has stopped me. Good priced unisex scent with quite interesting structure: it starts with fresh and crispy, dewy mint leaves with carvone spearmint bubblegum. All the flowers are abstract and : Violet is all about dust, lily of the valley is about clear cold water, rose is about leaves but not flowers. Drydown is minty, dry camphor modern patchouli (patchoulol) without any bitter chocolate, ambery and moldy aspects of oil. Nothing about masculine aftershave, but neither feminine flowers. True unisex scent. Better than modern Herba Fresca Really good for summer and for snowy winter.

Very refreshing opening like stepping into a field of mint and basil. Smooths out into a very long lingering soft scent that wraps you up in a very nice scent bubble .
