Shalis Cologne

My first perfume for which I got a compliment from a girl year 2008. She said 'How come you are single? You look good and smell good..' also 'You always smell good, that soft soft fresh smell I always get out of you' . Details:- This is my 2nd perfume gift from Dad. He knows things better than me I guess. I instantly fell for this smell, It was year 2004. I used to be careful to spray as it was very expensive for me. Opening is fruity freshness that projects well enough and youthful. Stays at that apple like fresh, citrus like for some time(15-20 mins). Mid, is still fruity apple with herbal like and barbershop like lavender. At that age I didn't know perfume had notes, so I used to call it Basil-Herbal-leaf like smell. Dry down, is very positive, light woody, little sweet musky with bery slight darker/dirtyness to it. Sandalwood is prominent with much lesser apple smell. But basil still lingers. Over it stays young and uplifting. I sprayed this perfume on my first ever studio recording as well. And, all my memories are stored in this perfume. My sister used to love this fragrance but when she was pregnant, she hated it's smell (some hormone thing). She just hated it!!! Later after delivery she liked it again😁. During this perfume I also have used and loved Rasasi Blue for Men. For obvious reasons. I liked fresh fruity harbalish smells then. Especially apple opening. Anybody who loves Hugo Boss openings will love this, as Green Apple is signature of Hugo Boss and this one too. Recently loved YSL Y for the same reason. We all have certain likings from our youth. And those likings define which perfumes we like or have nostalgia after wearing. P.S. This perfume is not from 2023 but still can smell young. It lacks todays trend of Ambergris or Oud or Marine notes. But does more than you can imagine. I blindbought it. Grapefruit opens the innings for this perfume but in a unique way. Contrary to some other perfumes containing grapefruit that i used, it gives way to other notes after about an hour. And, by the time you are in the third hour, the grapefruit is almost gone. It's a very interesting, well layered perfume that comes at quite an unassuming price. It lasts for about six hours on my skin and i can sniff the weaker notes for a while. It stays on for quite some time on clothes. Though there are no aquatic notes listed in the notes description above, i do get an aquatic vibe in this, which is alluring. Give it a try!

This fragrance is clearly underrated. Very fresh and well made, besides having great performance, despite the price it is really a sophisticated fragrance with multiple layers, safe for everyday use and got me a fair amount of compliment.

I love it it's fresh and sweet, If you like unisex or fruity perfumes than it safe for blind buy, it's cheap so you can wear it everyday, but you have to overspray it if you want it to get noticed. 8.5/10.

For the price it's ok. EDP could have been better. 3-5 hour longevity. Lineer type of perfume. It has barbarShop kind of notes. Fresh.
