De Lirius

What a wonderful fragrance. I had tried it very randomly and had never paid the attention to it because I emphasized in the darker ones (which are generally my favorites) like Behique and Cacique. De Lirius is a beautiful tribute by Renier to Cuba before it was discovered by Cristobal Colón, a virgin land, untouchable, only by the Taino habitants, full of fields of humid lands, tropical climate, and abundant vegetation, the fragrance opens with green notes inseparably tied to the ginger lily the national flower of Cuba or "Mariposa" as it is known in the archipelago, accompanied by the intoxicating aroma of soursop, a fruit with a cottony and sweet mass with a very intense and very perfumed smell, the guava leaves contribute their astringent part to offset the sweetness and accentuate the green part of the fragrance that can be described as a fruity white floral but perfectly unisex thanks to the notes of vetiver, wet earth and the woods of cedar, guaiac and mahogany, It feels a touch of amber and in its drydown after hours the use of "nañe"(ginger root) from the ginger lily plant is evident, which gives it a powdery and slightly spicy touch. If you don't know the Renier perfume house, this is one of the best options to start with, even more so if you don't like ouds and animal notes that make up almost the 60% DNA and backbone of their fragrances, it is unisex although some feel it drawing on the feminine, in my opinion it has a perfect balance, congratulations to Renier for imagining this beautiful work and to Juan Perez (whose work I don't know) for making it a reality.

First of all i must say that i like this fragance. It is a delicate fruity & Green floral very weareable and versatile. But after having tried It i must say also that i am a bit dissapointed. I had seen Manu reviews on internet and in YouTube where Well known specialist in fragance reviews talked about the lasting power and the strong sillage of de lirius: "one of the strongest perfumes ive tried" - used to say one - "a real beast" "the perfume with the highst projection i have ever tried" - said another one... So i had very Big expectations with this perfume! So i bought a sample (i was thinking even of buying a full bottle based on the critics) and i put It on my wrinkles this morning and... Nothing! Is It a nice perfume? Yes! Do i like It? Of course! Would i buy a full bottle or a bigger decanter? Maybe... But this is not what most reviews describe! I have other floral perfumes stronger, like for example carnal flower by Frederic Malle, which in adition are even cheaper. The perfume smells like flowers, Green leafes, tropical fruits... It is like the smell of a tropical jingle (or how i can imagine It should smell). The performance is not bad... Good longevity (i have been about 8 hours with It now and i can still feel It) but the projection is just average. This is suposed to be a extrait de parfum but if It said It is an edp i would relieve It because It is not as dense and intense as other extraits i have tried. I find the perfume unisex, very versatile and better for daily use. Scent: 8 Longevity: 8 Sillage: 7 Quality/price: 5 Versatility: 8 Originality: 7 Global: 8

Blind buy based on the listed notes and description provided on the Renier website. I am sort of indifferent on the purchase as a whole though. Initial spray I got tons of honeysuckle, lily, and green notes. I thought it was very nice, and it got super positive feedback from others at my place of work (both men and women). It has settled into something very pleasant and inoffensive. To call it a fruity/floral is spot on. You can definitely smell the sweetness of the fruit. I will wear this again and again. It is perfect for a spring or summer day. For my taste, I think this may be too light to wear in colder weather.. After wearing this several times now, I actually really really like this. Its got a fruity melon opening which is just different and so refreshing. Only drawback...it is very expensive Overall: 8.5/10

Got a sample,and i must say i really like it...original-yes,although not superunique,but uniqe enough to stand out from todays mainstream creations.Very green,fruity,with some exotic green touch.Reminds me of ELDO-you or someone like you,which is incredible refreshing summer mint frangrance.I don’t know if there’s any mint here,but i got that crushed mint leaves,which probably resembelance exotic plant in this perfume.It’s refreshing,green,invigurating and uplifting.I will make update review,upon a full day wearing.But first impression is very promising.One thing bothers me,and that is pretty high price tag,and i don’t know if it’s worth it,although it’s a pretty damn good scent,and at this point of a journey,I extremly appreciate original perfums.

Our personal chemistry will decide what a perfume smells like on an individual, on me this is heaven! I get the green of the guava and it's green leaves (not mint), the soursop- a white milky and creamy slightly sweet heaven right along the white soft billowy ginger lily held by a beautiful earthy (geosmin) background. The smell of the tropics. Juan Perez was born in Puerto Rico, and this fragrance is exactly how I remember Puerto Rico; it truly took me back to the island of my childhood. Absolutely Love! Projection is really good, sillage is just as good :) I'll have to update on longevity.
