Bleu Piscine

There is something undeniably cinematic about this scent. If I had to describe the scent in a single image, it would be an azure swimming pool surrounded by rosemary bushes and citrus trees, somewhere deep in the Italian countryside, where time seems to slow down and the only thing on the agenda is enjoying the warmth of the day. Rosemary takes center stage on my skin, accompanied by fresh citrus nuances and green aromatic facets that create an impression of effortless elegance. There is a subtle hint of chlorine, but not in a harsh or synthetic way. Scent feels clean, refreshing and quietly luxurious, like spending a slow summer afternoon at a countryside estate rather than a bustling seaside resort.

Although the official theme is a 'swimming pool', the first thing that came to my mind was the air of a small backyard garden soaked in rain or a damp pond. Deep green notes firmly anchor the scent, gently supported by a floral structure. Initially, cypress, mandarin, and geranium lead the introduction, and as the top notes fade, the scent of rosemary and berries subtly emerges. It also contains lavender, but its presence is minimal and doesn't stand out. The base notes carry just the right amount of weight, establishing an excellent unisex balance. With no overpowering or overly prominent elements throughout, it is a comfortable and highly wearable daily fragrance. However, since it lacks spiciness or a strong, intense character, it might feel a bit too ordinary for those looking for a definitive signature scent. The seasonality is strictly spring and summer. It projects quite well, so 1 to 2 sprays are more than enough. I highly recommend controlling the amount, especially in the heat of midsummer, as over-spraying can make you feel slightly dizzy. The longevity is about 6 hours, and it lingers much longer when sprayed on fabric. Personally, though, I found the scent much more appealing when sprayed directly onto the skin rather than on clothes, as it blends and radiates beautifully with body heat.

In my opinion there are undeclared things hidden in the notes of this one, like calone. Meaning there's something earthy (vetiver probably), aquatic, melony and a bit salty all at once. This is the third scent I've tried from this house, and it seems like they have issues with synthetic feel. This one also felt insanely synthetic. I looked at their website, there's a hand squeezing a mandarin. I don't think it really smells like a juicy mandarin though. There's a citrusy feel but not like mandarin.
