Charlie Sunshine

It became available in my country when I was 18/19 and it's just summer in a bottle. This reminds me of long days spent on the beach after my final exams and looking forward to college. I was in love with life, had a summer romance, drank too many mimosas and went clubbing every night. Slept until 1 PM, had bacon and eggs for lunch while listening to smooth jazz, then jumped into the shower and head off to the beach again. I would wear this day and night and the sillage/longevity was amazing. Looking for a couple of bottles, but I'll have to find a seller that's willing to ship them to my country. I'm sure eBay should be helpful, though.

Really impressive, fresh, cheerful scent that seems able to hold onto all of its notes 20 years on. Balanced and fresh, not a screechy note anywhere. Energizing.

I loved this and red and wore them many times during the 90s. Was so sad when they discontinued it, wish they'd bring it back. It was juicy and fresh.

I just got this from an op shop for $4. It's aged well... it smells amazing to me! Reminds me a little of Diorissimo, oddly. Really high quality.

Yesterday I was looking through my collection and came across a bottle of CS, which had been at the very back of the drawer for a long time. I'd forgotten all about it, and so it was a surprise to find CS is all about citrus and a touch of pear. Not as sharp as Clinique Happy, CS is a nice, fresh scent, work safe and probably unisex, too. Sillage is modest, CS doesn't carry far but it does last fairly long. There are lots of citrus scents available, while CS doesn't break new ground, it is a decent perfume for relatively little money. It's not nearly as well known as the famous Charlie flankers, and may even be discontinued. I'm not a citrus fan, but given a choice between Happy and CS I'd take Sunshine every time.

I had this when it first came out because I was young and had just started working and it was all I could afford. It was a bit like sunflowers from Elizabeth Arden. Very sunny uplifting bright tangy smell. It was discontinued years ago. There used to be Charlie Musk as well around the same time but that was discontinued as well. There was an urban one which had glitter in it. That was more in the late 90s. They were all good perfumes for the price it's a shame because Revlon seems to discontinue a lot of their perfumes which is very frustrating. None of theme seem to last besides Fire and Ice.

In between my sweet gooey gourmands I love having a bright cheerful uplifting citrus fragrance to grab from time to time - even in Winter. I got this on ebay in a little cute clear acrylic tray with 2 bottles, one purse size and another larger and its a gem. I can see this one as something I would really love in warmer weather. You get a burst of fresh sweet lemon which opens up into some nice gentle florals and finally brings a touch of musk. It isnt screechy or aldehydic like I expected from Charlie. Great price on this and excellent seller on ebay. Plus little tray is super cool.

The green note is everything for me! It reminds me of fresh fennel or angelica. It is really lovely and fresh. It makes me feel like I’m in my sunny garden. I’m so glad I got my hands on a bottle!

This starts with a burst of alcohol, then once that goes away, it becomes a light, clean, and bright citrus floral scent. It feels rather aquatic and green to me. The image that comes to mind is a remote beach with ocean waves the color of light green and white on a cool day with moderate sunshine. It's like one of those typical unisex cool citrus scent of the 90s. As with most fragrances, it does not stay very long on me, so I did not really get to experience any of the base notes. This perfume is on the uninteresting side, but I'm sure would be a welcomed inexpensive addition for those who like these type of scents, just not me.

I had this fragrance when i was in High school, i just remember it was very nice for the ridiculous price! it was so uplifting! energizing, fresh... i remember that grapefruit and pear were the dominant notes, and it had a very long staying power, like 8 hours! i don ́t know if it has been reformulated, i haven ́t seen it in my country again .

This fragrance changes greatly as you wear it. It is a very dry citrus. I don't know who thought it would be juicy. I'm an incurable blender and love it with a little spritz of Charlie Blue for warm weather.

By today's standards, this is a unisex Spring type scent. The blend is very nice ("rounded"), and I don't get any synthetic qualities. The notes seem correct and the strength is at least in the good range.

Very bright and uplifting citrus scent. Mostly pear and freesia on a juicy citrus background. Lovely. Got it again from ebay. Childhood/teen years memories! Nice/clean but still manages to feel feminine.
