Charlie Urban Energy

I have to hand it to Revlon for creating some really classic "drugstore" fragrances, among them Ciara, Pink Happiness, Jean Naté, and the range of Charlie fragrances. Charlie Urban Energy is the vibrant, energetic sister in the Charlie line. This is the citrusy, slightly sweet and floral disco dancer who is out all night in spandex and sequins. She is slightly naughty, but despite her scandalous escapades, deep down she is still your sweet little sister. On first spray, I get a blast of grapefruit and bergamot, but within a couple of minutes, it settles down and the florals temper the brashness of the top notes. The base notes are quite elusive, which means that Urban Energy doesn't have long lasting power, but overall, for the price, this is a fun and light fragrance for summer nights.

Wish they would sell this again in my country They sell allll colors of Charlies in New Zealand just not this one. Guttered. Only one I love.

I remember having this as an impoverished student around the Millenenium. It was fruity, floral, slightly metallic and with an almost sour, fizzy, vibrancy ( presumably from the grapefruit.) Back then I knew little about notes but constantly fell in love with the imagery and iconography of certain perfumes. The purple juice attracted me: I think it served as a placeholder for the perfumes I really wanted at the time but could not afford; like Anna Sui, Poison, Alien and - holy of holies! -Guerlain's Purple Fantasy. (Oh, the ones that got away....)

When I smelt this fragrance in the bottle I loved it,when I sprayed it on,I loved it,half an hour into wearing this fragrance it literally started smelling like cat pee on me and it got worse and worse...... I had a bath......the cat pee smell was still there.....had to bath again to get the cat pee smell away.......this is the only fragrance that i have ever worn that did this to me.....so I would say a def no no for me.......

Turns to cat pee and vinegar on me. Just awful mind you I cant wear sweet or citrus fragrances.
