Insurrection II Dark

All the 3 Reyanne Tradition Insurrection II fragrances are very good colognes. Despite what many people say, I do not consider this fragrance to be similar to Spicebomb. What I get from this fragrance are some cherry accords, sweet spices, some pineapple and none of the Spicebomb cinnamon or citrus sweetness. Insurrection II Wild is an Oriental Spicy fragrance for men, with a sweet powdery spicy scent and has its own unique smell. I like it; just because it doesn't smell like Spicebomb doesn't mean it isn't very good; this is a good cold weather fragrance. Top listed notes are cassis, bergamot, apple and pineapple; middle notes are birch, jasmine and patchouli; base notes are oakmoss, musk, amber and vanilla. In my opinion Insurrection II Dark is a manly sweet spicy fragrance with its own individuality and a very strong projection. It opens up with a slight pineapple top note, yet is quickly enveloped by a deep and mysterious mixture of sweet spicy masculine notes along with what seems to be leather. This leatherish note adds the same kind of heaviness to the body of the fragrance, just the way some leather accords do. The presence is smooth and mellow just like suede leather. I love this evolution. We can feel an accord of what seems to be dried fruits mixed with sweet spices. I get diverse fruity notes like red fruits and cherries, but all orchestrated in a deep and dark blending. The spices are very sweet - gingerbread type. I do imagine it to have cinnamon, coriander, mace, red pepper and cardamom, even if those are non listed notes. Very good inexpensive fragrance; I do recomend it;

Agree whole heartedly with Hastey and Blackandyellow. Ignore the reviews that this is a clone of Spicebomb. In this community we need to be careful with the wording we choose when leaving our personal reviews or we can be responsible for someone’s unhappy purchase. Now, this is a spicey scent, but to me it’s in its own category. Dadudelebowski a reviewer a few down below me hit the nail on the head. It’s starts off Smokey like Insurrection pure, for the first 5 minutes I get Aventus vibes, but once that subsides the smokiness and spice leave me smelling wonderful. If anything I would say that this has more in common with A-men Pure Malt (not a clone) just similarities. The only Achilles heel of this cologne is it’s questionable performance. It’s not an overly cheap cologne and is slightly hard to find also. I get between 1-3 hours depending on the day. I’d give this a solid 6.5/10 and the presentation in and out of box is how a cologne should be presented. Lastly, for some reason there’s no breakdown in here of the pyramid. I don't know what Steven from redollescence was on when he smelled this. Let me honestly tell you guys, no, no, this does not smell anything like spice bomb. Maybe it has some pink pepper, but I don't know. This is its own unique smell. I own spice bomb and this and honestly, I love them both but I have come to love this one more. Just because it doesn't smell like spice bomb does not mean it isn't good, this is a fantastic cold weather fragrance, absolutely stunning, I love it!! It's dark, alluring, and spicy. I do pick up on a cherry vibe in this, but not what I was expecting, grown on me. It's synthetic as the price may imply, but does not smell artificial if you know what I mean, it's got character to it. Longevity: Lasts a long time on my skin and clothes. 8 Sillage: Not as good as the reviews led me to believe, but not bad. 6 Scent: Lovely. 8

I will say that the closest fragrance to relate it to is Spicebomb... But this one is spicier! Almost a Red Hot candy type of cinnamon vibe. Along the lines of Hot Damn Schnapps... Hot and sweet. The projection and lasting power is top notch! A no brainer for under $30... Nov. 01, 2025... Put this fragrance on this morning... I wrote this top post 10 years ago... And the fragrance has gotten better in time!... I love to layer it with Red Tobacco by Mancera!... People say that it does not smell like Spicebomb... It is in the same vain... Not a Dupe... In this is cinnamon forward with a cherry tobacco undertone... Well done for the price!

Very good masculine EDT. Pleasant scent in all the stages. Very nice dry down. I do like its strong cinnamon / cherry sweetness. It's just a bit dark and probably I would like it to be even darker. It's clearly a wood spicy fragrance with an oriental touch. Performance is well above average. I tried today RTD in one hand and Narciso Rodrigues for Him in the other hand. NRH is gone more than 2 hours ago and Reyane Dark still has 1 foot sillage. Hard to find such a likeable fragrance at this price (18 Euros + Vat for 100 ml).

Cherry Pipe tobacco powder cinnamon leather Pink Pepper cardamom...... strong and long Lasting and can be a bit overpowering if over applied...This is an attention-getter....The fragrance is an 8.0 the silage and Longevity is an 8.0

Wtf! How does this simultaneously smell like Spicebomb, Blue de Chanel, Aventus, L’Homme Ideale, and still somehow Fahrenheit? Either everyone who buys this has Covid or y’all need to lay off the drugs.

I wish this was more like spice bomb. Dark has an opening similar to Vicks 44 cough syrup. If you grew up in the 80's you know the product. The cherry is bitter, but you will not make the bitter face when you smell it. The drydown takes about 90 minutes to come and is smooth and masculine. Genteel and stiff, but classic. Achtung!, gentlemen. This is not a date scent! Women do not hate this, nor do they love it. They are not attracted to it. They will not compliment you when you wear it. It does not impress the fairer sex. You might reserve this for quiet moments alone or with the guys. If you are with a lady sharing the experience of a wood-aged whiskey or similar drink, this might be a good choice. If you are in a setting where lighting a cigar would be acceptable, this would be appropriate. It is nuanced, but not beautiful. Of the three current Reyane Insurrections, this is 3rd out of the 3. It is a decent scent, but Pure and Wild are both superior. Update 09/25/2018: The scent has changed from the bottle. Now there is a very pronounced patchouli in the middle and drydown. Much more noticeable than before. I dislike patchouli as a prominent note.

I didn't need another Spicebomb clone. I already have Bvlgari Man In Black, and that is 90% Spicebomb (though lovely in its own right). Additionally, I own original Spicebomb plus two flankers. I bought Insurrection Dark and Insurrection Wild because the price fell to below $20 each shipping included. So, why not at that price? Well, guess what, I didn't need another Spicebomb clone, nor did I get one. I was stretching my olfactory acumen as far as I could to see what part of Insurrection Dark might overlap with Spicebomb and I found nothing. Zero. Zilch. Nada. This fragrance opens harsh and medicinal, with a cherry cough syrup vibe. When the drydown begins that cherry cough syrup becomes a lovely cherry tobacco note. A nice pepper accord also develops during the drydown. At the price it is highly recommended, but if you're looking for Spicebomb, keep looking, this ain't it!

First off, ignore the reviews claiming this is 90% plus clone to spicebomb, cause it’s not, not even close. Wish people would stop giving false accounts or being sheep and claiming something because others have. Having said that. What you can say, this lives in the realm/vibe/category that Spicebomb, Bvlgari Man in Black and 1 Million Prive live in. To me if you were to weaken Man in Black and add cherry you would have something similiar, not the same, As a fragrance on its own I quite like it. It’s a warm spicy tobacco/cinnamon infused cherry scent. For its price point, it’s a great buy if you can’t afford any of the above mentioned power hitters, or you just want to save them for special occasions and use this as a daily driver. I’ll add it to my collection for the second mentioned reason.

I've had this fragrance for a few months and thought I'd wait for it to settle and see if it was different from the time I got it until now. I'm glad I waited. I sprayed twice on skin and this really smells like Terre D'Hermes with a cherry cola touch in the background. Much milder than Terre D'Hermes, but still there. I will say that the opening has a very cheap alcohol smell to it, but it goes away after 10 seconds. Not sure where the Spicebomb comparisons come from, but that isn't this. This fragrance didn't project much and performance isn't the best, but for $20 US, it's a great blind buy. I'll gladly decant and spray through the day if need be. Not the best and definitely not ground breaking, but worth getting your nose on. 4.5/10

I have no clue what's going on a Fragrantica but it seems like they have Wild and Dark under the same reviews. There no where near the same . I actually get cherry tobacco in this opposed to Wild , people say cherry but all I get is honey pachouli and cigar like tobacco. Dark is much more appealing and I've gotten compliments on . Wild people say I smell gross like a dirty cigar. But whatever is going on , Dark is definitely the safe better smelling one. Pure is the cleaner Aventus clone supposedly . I have pure but never smelled Aventus so idk. But Pure is good also.

This is very similar to Spicebomb, but the main point of differentiation is that one of the most pronounced top notes is like cherry cough syrup. It's thick and strong and lasts quite a while. It's a little spicier than Spicebomb, and is mostly suited (like Spicebomb) to fall/winter/early spring wear as it would be a little too cloying in the summer months. If you're not inclined to spend $75-90 on a 3.0 oz bottle of Spicebomb this can be a suitable replacement. Plus, you can reapply it without being concerned about the money involved. Very nice.

I've heard many say that this is a clone of Spicebomb but to my nose I get more of Eau Des Baux with a cinnamon (or maybe cherry) undertone. It's definitely good for a fall/winter but a little too much for warmer weather. Definitely a good price ($22) for a good scent.

Forgot to ADD that I got an authentic FRESH sealed in wrapper from manufacturer batch of 3 Slide Cases each with 1 bottle PURE, WILD AND DARK and they are authentic. Smell again guys, this one is the Aventus Clone. Smells NOTHING like Spicebomb, at all.

This formulation smells 90% like Creed Aventus. I think people mixed up Pure with Dark. Pure smells 90% like Bleu De Chanel and Dark smells 90% like REAL Creed Aventus. While Wild smells 90% like Thierry Mugler A*MEN Pure Havane.

All of these Insurrection colognes are great. No exception here. I get why people compare this to spicebomb. Personally i like this better. long lasting, smells spicy and can't beat the price.

I really enjoy this. I mostly wear this in the evening on cold nights. This in my top 10 for winter scents.

With the sole exception of absolute runaway banger hit Wild which is a beautiful tobacco fragrance, each Insurrection II flanker is a play on the classic Creed Aventus DNA but varies the fruit notes in each one to come up with a new fragrance. It's such a simple yet brilliant way to vary the line that I'm genuinely suprised Creed didn't think of it themselves. Pure has the classic pineapple opening; Emperor has an orange and vanilla opening; Dark has a nice cherry blast in the opening before settling down into pink pepper, citrus, wood and powder aromas. That wood note is birch which gives it a bit of a fougere touch which is nice. With a name like Dark, I was expecting an addition of an additional darker note like coffee or cocoa or iris. There is none, which kind of makes the name misleading. Unfortunately, Dark is nowhere near as potent as the other Insurrection II flankers. The others aren't beast mode by any means, but they certainly had a decently average performance. Dark is a shockingly weak performer in comparison. This requires massive overspraying and respraying. Which is perfectly fine especially for the price point. But again, when you realize the other flankers are so much stronger, it does make you wonder why this one isn't. Like the other flankers, this is great for younger users and is totally unisex. It's a good choice for warm weather. I don't think older users would appreciate it and it isn't good for serious or formal occasions. It's a fun pleasurable fragrance just like the rest of the line. Had it only matched or exceeded their performance, this would be the absolute best flanker in the line.

So after reading all the comments down below this fragrance makes so much more sense now. I too am a huge fan of INS. II Wild. So I thought, "lets give the only other one in this line that doesn't appear to be inspired by Aventus in some way shape or form, a try". Which is this one. Down below it others make mention that the notes have not been listed due to its inconsistent reformulation. Some people get red fruits in earlier versions. And other people get Spice bomb or some variation. To me it feels like my bottle is missing something. Ive had it for more than a year so I know its not a maceration issue. My bottle smells like Sugar and spice and everything nice for about 10 min. And then vanishes. Its like they found a good base and then decided to lay everyone off. What remains were a bunch of unfinished bottles that got sent to the discounters. And that is what I got. Your results will definitely vary. I can't recommend it but if you are a fan on sweet tobacco scents I can recommend Wild.

I went straight to the other reviews on this one because I wanted to see if anyone else is getting this weird alcohol musky scent in the opening. I only found one review mentioning a weird opening so maybe it's just my bottle. After about a 20 min dry down I really like the scent but I'm not getting a Spice Bomb comparison. The best Spice Bomb dupe in my collection is Cremo Spice and Black Vanilla. This fragrance is giving me more of a Bleu de Chanel type of vibe with a hint of musk. I found it at a discounter for $17 USD so it is a cheapie and I didn't expect much from it. I will wear it every now and then but I will not be buying this again and honestly I would not have purchased it if I had smelled it first.

Just got this and here are my thoughts. Right away this is weak! I get a bit of pepper spice with a synthetic maraschino cherry syrup smell for about 10 min and then it seems this fragrance disappears. I hope this changes with a bit of time to mature on the shelf, at only $22CAD I wasn't expecting much but wow. I will say that the presentation and bottle are very nice. I will update later but for now, this is (3/10)

The comparisons of this cologne are all over the map because people are mixing up the various Insurrection scents! Insurrection Dark is quite simply a weaker/synthetic dupe/alternative to Blue De Chanel {EDT} 75% and Armaf's Club De Nuit Intense 25%. It is not horrible and it is not great, so you have to ask yourself......why bother when there are a bazillion other scents for sale?

Cheap Funeral Vibe. There are two parts in my review Reyane Tradition Insurrection II Dark. First, the good part which is the Presentation, as with the whole Insurrection II series the smoothly and harmonious colored bottle come in that luxurious book like box, secured to it's resting place the bottle seems like a highly priced gem. the emphasis will stay on the "like". as with this, more or less the good experience ends. now to the Bad part, which is most of what matters and it is what's inside that bottle. Yes it is dark, essence of Hospital, a dark hospital... in the good sense. perhaps the fragrance on the way to the morgue mixed with the just became widow worn perfume mixed with bitter tears, antiseptic concentrated soap, ether, inhalation fumes. it is difficult to put the finger on what are the dominant notes. however, no matter in what prosaic way i could describe my impressions, even though it has that dark hospital vibe, late night long hours at the ER. a mixture of tension with pleasant medicinal sharpness. sadly after not more than a hour all those mixed notes start to crumble and collapse into each other and remain as very weak very close to the skin, very intimate, perhaps so intimate only a very eager bed partner could indulge on these scents. it is clean. but it is Disinfection cleanliness, to me it comes with the always existing threat of death around the corner and the substances used to enbalm and sooth this death. not how i would like to smell when i go to bed, no, not even alone. however, even for a coffin smell i doubt it would do the job as it's longevity is also so short, and i am sad to say, pointless. why create such interesting and unique combination, packing it in a luxurious box (a sarcophagus) selling it a very affordable price niche, and not allowing their customers to enjoy, to set the wings of this castrated of what was supposed to be Medicinal dark coffin aphrodisiac, something dark that vampires would wear and sniff each other proudly. unfortunately from reading the reviews here, i am not the only one, the problem is not with me, or my nose. It is too delicate, i doubt it is spoiled in any of the cases, when it was just out reviews claimed it's a spicebomb. but it's just a very bad performer. and it leaves me with the thought, why such expensive presentation? would i like to buy it as a cheap present to someone i like (or don't like?) hoping they would not try to change it for something else and find out how cheap their present was? why to pretend that you are luxurious with empty and cheaply finalized content? i really wanted to like this one, as i am sniffing the remaining fumes of my empty bottle. i needed to spray and spray and spray so something of it would stay on me for over two hours. it was just too weak, i am tired of weak fragrances. even for the 20-30$ this is usually sold here. it's just not worth it, and gives bad name Reyane Tradition. if anybody from Reyane is reading this, please think if it is worth losing customers for your more up market fragrances by releasing such weak performers... And no. despite the prestigious presentation, it's possible to gift this only to someone who really smelled and worn any of these Insurrection II flankers, not only Dark, as the performance issue is repeating throughout the series which i smelled. perhaps somewhere there are the people who would prefer such low profile and sublime experience. i am not one of them. TLDR - Weak, stays not longer than 2 hours. too short of darkness even for a coffin.

Guys sorry to burst your bubble but this smells nothing like Spicebomb despite what the power of suggestion from other reviewers tells you. What I get from this is that it's strangely similar to Insurrection Pure II (the Aventus clone) without the citrus and some synthetic cherry accords that are pretty bland. No spices, none of the cinnamon, citrus sweetness from Spicebomb. This one is more on the expensive side now as well ($50 on eBay) so it doesn't even work as a cheapie. Just spend another $10 on Spicebomb or stick with the original Pure II which is still rather cheap. I picked this up while it was still cheap and I would gladly sell it for its asking price now. Performance is below average as well. Performance: 5/10 - Projection and longevity are average, below average for a fall/winter scent. Overall Scent: 4/10 - Don't be duped into spending your hard-earned money on this. If you want Spicebomb just save a little and get the real deal. Or better yet get Burberry London, which does everything Spicebomb does but better (except the cool bottle).

I blind bought it expecting this to smell like Spicebomb. I was delighted when I bought reyane Wild, it was better than pure havane, and reyane pure was 90% aventus clone, closer than unpredictable adventure, fresco and AB spirit silver. But this is no Spicebomb, all I get is a dirty soap, a mix between mugler cologne and a cheap, loud motel soap bar. The smell makes me gag, this has happened to me before, I am too sensitive to certain smells, I fell dizzy after smelling some fragrances (named: Joop homme, encre noire, original santal). Even I might like them at first spritz, after a couple of hours of wearing I feel sick. I applied 3 spritz and gave it a full wear for testing yesterday evening..... I had to scrub it off. Maybe is the batch, otherwise, I don't understand how it can be compared to VR spicebomb. Thumbs down for me. Caution if blind buying. Testing before buying is advisable.

I just got my bottle in the mail today, and I am wearing it now, for the first time. So first of all, this smells NOTHING like Spicebomb, as others have said. It's weak, and simply nothing like Spicebomb. I've seen the notes listed as: chili, saffron, leather, tobacco, vetiver, bergamot, grapefruit, elemi and pink pepper. So, although not listed, I am getting a *honey vibe. Only SLIGHTLY better on fabric than my skin, I think I smell the bergamot and grapefruit. I have NO idea what elemi smells like, but my overall impression is spicy honey. I am very disappointed to get NO cherry, which is the main reason I ordered it. :-(

Meh.... This smells like "soap on a rope" with a hint of incense. Not bad, but not the kind of vibe that motivates me to reach for this very often. Projection and longevity are just OK- arm length plus a little, 3 hours max projection before becoming skin scent. If I try hard enough, I might pick up a slight hint of Spicebomb. Of course, enjoying fragrances shouldn't be about trying hard. I'll wear occasionally on those "oh hell" kind of days, but will not repurchase. Now "Pure 2", and "Wild", I'd gladly repurchase.

I love the Insurrection line... Sport, Wild, and Pure, in that order... but this doesn't compare to those at all. The bottle I had smelled nothing like Spicebomb! It was boring, synthetic, weak, uninspired. It kind of reminded me of a spicy Curve Crush, which was not good either. 😅 Anyway, avoid this one, but definitely check out Sport, Wild and Pure! Those 3 are amazing!

I just bought this off fragbuy. I don’t smell cherry whatsoever. This smells like Armaf Tag, like a waxy/crayon smell. I get no performance at all, I can barely smell it after 30 mins. Such a contrast from insurrection wild, which I love.

I blindly bought this due to nice bottle and combination color of black and red. As fragrance reviewer and collector, the bottle and the box are part of significant factors to me. Furthermore, some people said its clone of Spicebomb but the fact is after I've been using and evaluating it for several weeks, I have no idea where the heck is resembles to Spicebomb. This aromatic spicy fragrance reminds me of Zeal by Ajmal and also reminds me of Sauvage in very small way. In Asian tropical country, i have experimenting during day and night. I believe this is all season fragrance, can be worn in office or during formal or semi formal in climate control as well. Perhaps during convention or presentation. I have tried it during sunny day but only go out after 45 minutes sprayed. Let it down first. Projection and sillage are good. Lasted few days on my shirt. Within my humble nose,I guess this is above a bit from generic but not that wow or amazing or marvelous. Well, this is subjective off course, if the more scents and perfumes stored in your brain and olfactory database, the more complex is needed for a perfume to be regarded as wow or unique. This is my first purchase from Reyane Tradition and to me, Insurrection DARK is not that dark or mysterious, probably very minor of it. I bought this shit after buying into the spicebomb hype. I already owned 2 3 oz bottles of spicebomb and thought I could use this supplement as spicebomb is expensive. I was really mad when I received it. It smelled nothing at all like spicebomb and is really blah and cheap smelling. It reminds me of joop. Buyers beware. Your being lied to. I own insurrection pure 2, wild, dark, and pure 2 sport. Only 2 are good and only 1 of those good 2 are superior. Pure 2 sport is a good clone of aventus cologne. ( Not creed aventus there are 2 colognes by creed with aventus is the name) Wild is a winner though. I love that fragrance and is a very good replacement or supplement for pure havane by mugler. Those who say this is a clone of spicebomb are lieing or haven't smelled it.

I tried this after Insurrection II Wild - which is incredibly good. Insurrection II Dark... definitely not worth your time or money. The presentation is excellent - love the bottle, box, color scheme, &c. The scent: Ugh. My sense of smell is diminished (thanks, COVID), but is not non-existent. The scent pallet is a muddle that gets worse on dry down, sillage and projection... unnoticeable. I am glad this wasn't expensive.

Please, please, please avoid this. How i wish i could return to past and refrain myself from buying this. Struggling to finish this and I cant imagined to give this to someone, coz its totally terrible. My mistake of believing this is a clone of Spicebomb. Nothing at all. Maybe the old version resembles to Spicebomb. Avoid this people.

Insurrection II Dark is a sweet spicy aromatic. The fragrance has its own unique sense of style—that's totally incomparable to Spicebomb. The two fragrances are truly nothing alike, and even from first glance, it's undeniably that Insurrection II Dark is its own essence in all respects. The fragrance opens up with a pineapple note (like in Insurrection II Pure), yet is quickly enveloped by this deep and mysterious concoction of sweet-spicy notes, that horrifically, seem entirely mutilated together. They have little-to-no chemistry between them, and all scramble atop one another as if they're trying to escape hell. In doing so, the combative notes tear and claw at your senses, projecting with an unbearable contrast and complexity to them. It's not pleasing in the least. The dark, chimeric concoction seems to be an accord of dried fruits and bakery spices. I get a diverse fruit-like presence—but the tone is deep, and dark, and malleable— like dried fruits. The bakery spices are genuinely stimulating, but stingy and slappy. And if I had to guess the accord—I would say: Cinnamon, mace, star anise, liqourice, and pepper—maybe coriander—maybe cardamom. The Ceberus-like concoction seems to be guarding a note locked deep beneath its jaws. It seems like a cured leather. The note is actually hard to distinguish as leather—but adds the same kind of heaviness to the body that some leather accords do. The note is somewhat mellow and smooth, and possesses this distinct tinge to it, that further suggests some type of polished refinement. If it is a leather accord, it's definitely a leather that's undergone some kind of special treatment or process. In the late drydown, Insurrection II Dark does the unthinkable, and transforms to gain this faint powdery essence atop the dismembered and muted spices. You can also pick up this really unique musk of some kind in the distant background once you've had it on all day. Even in small doses, I think it's entirely unenjoyable. And if you spray too much on, it apparently puts your olfactory in the dark. More tricks from the chemical witch. Can't wait to see something like—Cackling Witch Accord. Assuming it's not wasted on this.

After reading all the reviews with people confusing this with BDC and spicebomb and whatever.. I've bought it myself and found out the hard truth Yes I bought Insurrection II DARK. INCLUDING the entire lineup. This is definitely reformuatled, everyone on YouTube and online talking about how this smells like spicebomb or Incense Cherry tobacco is talking about the first formulations of this fragrance. . When I smelt this it smelt like nothing, waxy aventus like freshness. On my skin it smells like nothing too It's almost like they ran out of juice for Insurrection II dark and diluted their Insurrection ii pure with water and chucked it in this bottle and called it a day I bought mine recently and it came with a free sample inside the box Honestly I don't know if this will change over time or if my nose is broken. But I've got spicebomb and this smells nothing like it. I've got all the other Insurrection II fragrances so I know I'm talking about Insurrection II dark. Hard pass for now. If it changes I'll post another review. But it seems like this is a reformulation issue

I love wearing men's cologne, esp in the fall/winter. I purchased this because of the comparisons to Spicebomb and Red Musk (Body Shop). I have both scents and while those 2 smell similar to each other, Dark smells like neither to me. Dark is somewhat spicy, a little sweet and fresh; I can see how they'd be in the same category, but Dark is noticeably different. Since I love both Spicebomb and Red Musk, I was a bit disappointed upon first spray of Dark. I almost returned it, but decided to keep it and try it with other scents. That's where the magic happened! Surprisingly, it plays well with others. I have some old BBW Forever Sunshine (that I despise on its own), but I mixed it with Dark and got compliments all day at work. It became this dark, spicy orange scent...just right for fall. It kinda reminded me of Britney Spears Hidden Fantasy. I also tried it with Always Red Femme lotion (another fragrance I find too brash on its own) and it blended well. So in 2 weeks, I've used half a bottle. Needless to say, I think it was $20 well spent.

I am going to add to the growing list of WTF does this smell like.. I get mainly Spice, vetiver, and woody notes. The scent is very dry, with just a little sweetness towards the drydown. Performance is pretty good on my skin, at least 4-6 hours, and I have gotten a few compliments on it. Some have said this is a clone of Spicebomb, MIB... or even Sauvage... really??. To be fair, I have a new bottle, and perhaps there have been reformulations, but this bears no resemblance at all - Nothing - Zilch - Nada - to Spicebomb, MIB or Sauvage. I was thinking about it, and then it dawned on me... closest thing to this is Davidoff Hot Water. The scent is very close, and the bottle and box look very similar, with a red and black theme on both... hmmm. I think this is an homage to (if not an exact clone of) Hot Water. The price / value ratio is excellent - on all the insurrection II line - (Wild is the best IMO) For $20 you get a Niche level presentation and some darn good scents. These are hard to beat.

To me it’s kind of silly to expect anything positive or be critical of openings on cheapies, all that matters is the dry down. I consider Wild II to be an all time great cheapie, this Dark II? I do get the cherry scent & agree with the person who characterized this fragrance as 25% Armaf's Club De Nuit Intense - ‘like’, it's weak but there. I even agree there is a small essence of Terre D'Hermes can be detected, even the ever so faint powder?..it's there. However these seeds have to be planted in your brain, and with a predisposition to find these scents, you will, they're there. Nonetheless at the end of the day, it's a WTF fragrance to be frank. I got a tester for $10 and it's not clear to me I got a deal. I bake a lot of salmon and I'll be using this fragrance as air freshener to neutralize the fish smell in the house.

When I initially received this bottle, I sprayed it on and the opening just smelled weird to me. It was very synthetic smelling and I couldn't make out a note if you paid me. Sort of smelled like bug spray to be honest with you. After spraying it a few times to clear the nozzle, the opening got better. It smelled better on my clothes than on my skin. After having it around for a week, I was hoping it would become more pleasant, but it didn't get much better. Don't blind buy this...you will more likely be disappointed if you expect a cherry scent or something that smells like Spicebomb. You will likely get neither. I won't ever by another bottle of this. It simply isn't good enough.

I have both Insurrection 2 Wild and Insurrection 2 Dark and must say I like the Insurrection 2 Wild much better as in the latter the cherry is a little over the top for me which I find a bit too cloying for my taste. Also, T.M. Pure Havana reins supreme in my book when it comes to tobacco scents! Also, Cuba Gold is one of the best ever tobacco scents ever created insofar as quality commensurate with price goes. It's my every day go to cologne when going to the gym or going for a work out, saving the expensive juice when I go out in the evening and special occasions.

A Spicebomb Clone? SOTD: Reyane Traditions-Insurrection Ii Dark as of 12/22/18 Another gem and is not a cheap fragrance, I scent the Pineapple first and some spicy notes, cinnamon . Very surprised on this scent. So far I have the Pure, Wild and Dark from Insurrection. But I prefer the Insurrection Ii Wild on the trilogy. I do scent a bit of the Spicebomb DNA but I don't have Spicebomb to compare it to. Rating Scent: 7.5/10 Presentation/Design: 8/10 Performance/Longevity: 7/10: lasted on my skin between 6-8+ hrs Overall: 7/10

Great scent which smells like an oriental soap to me. Nothing like "Spice Bomb" You can't even compare this scent with Spice Bomb, they are totally different to my nose and I own two bottles of Spice Bomb. Insurrection Dark makes me feel like I have been pampered with expensive oriental oils and come out of an Asian Sauna with the aroma attached to me. It is a great clean refreshing scent. It's a great addition to my cologne arsenal.

I agree with Hastey. Stop misleading the people that this fragrance is similar V&R Spicebomb or Bvlgari MiB! Insurrection Dark bring notes of jasmine,patchouli,narcissus and chamomile in the output.Absolutely not even close Spicebomb or any of the flankers! This is dark spice oriental fragrance,mysteriuos mixture for cold weather evening.May be considered unisex.

Nice masculine scent for men that like to smell like a man. And women that don't like to smell feminine but prefer a more manly scent. To each their own.. My wife is not one of those "I like to smell like a man's cologne" type, so this one is all mine. Reminds me of Spicebomb Extreme.

The scent was instantly recognizable as soon as I sprayed it: Cherry pipe tobacco. There's an ever so slight hint of an incense note but that's about it. If you like Paco Rabanne's 1 Million, you'll almost certainly like this as well. Projection is strong and it's very long lasting.

I was totally misled about this fragrance. For the past two years, all I have been reading is how sweet and cloying it is. However, when I finally got my big nose on it, I was surprised to discover that there is nothing sweet or cherry about it whatsoever. It's . . . DARK.

After reading the reviews, I believe many people are confusing Dark and Wild. Dark has zero - zero cherry pipe tobacco, at all. Doesn't resemble any colognes I have smelled before....certainly not Spicebomb or BDC. Eau de Baux? Someone's sniffer must be broken.
