Taif

This fragrance is sure to get the hype it deserves. It features that DNA everyone loves. It’s great as a year-round signature scent. Thanks to its dry-down, it’s better suited for evenings and cooler seasons than Ravine Ginger or Aristo. While the first was fresher and the second more vanilla-like, Taif is sweet and creamy; this creates a more versatile, slightly more unisex vibe though I’d still say the DNA suits a man better. Then there’s the price: compared to other interpretations, it’s nearly half the cost, at least in my country. Although it’s not a 1:1 replica of the original, I’d actually say it’s better because it’s more vanilla-forward - which is exactly what I was looking for. To sum up: if you want the freshest alternative, go for Ravine Ginger; for the one closest to the original, choose Aristo; and for the most versatile, creamy-vanilla scent that works all year round, pick Taif. A masterpiece.

From someone who was pretty unfamiliar with this type of DNA before blind buying this on a whim, this is honestly my new favorite scent and I can't stop reaching for it. The first 30 seconds or so are a little sharp and scary, but after that it smooths down quite nicely into a bright, slightly spicy citrus. Occasionally I get whiffs that smell a bit like sophisticated bug spray... but in a way that I find I really, really like. The dry down becomes this really gorgeous musky, woody vanilla that sits quite close to the skin and lasts about 5-6 hours on my skin, though it becomes quite soft after about 4.

Such a great smell I love it. spray it on your chest and the smell rises you smell it and it is beautiful but the longevity right now is terrible 2 hours on skin on clothes a bit longer. Production date is December 2025 it’s 5 months old and I’m hoping the longevity will improve. On the bottle it writes “Extrait de Parfum” 😅 I’ll update a couple of months later. Update: I also got sample of Ravine Ginger and I can say that Taif a bit sweeter and creamier than Ravine but the longevity of Ravine is great I can small it 12 hours later on a test strip strongly.

Slightly better than Aristo and also Ravine Ginger imo, not for a one for one tho, aristo comes closer to the OG. Taif adds a new unique floral twist to the DNA which makes it more unisex. Incredibly fizzy opening and you get that vanilla touch in the drydown. Longevity is approximately the same as Aristo, maybe a bit more due to the addition of florals that support the longevity.

This was love at first sniff. On initial spray, it was a strong burst of citrus.And then within a few minutes , you smell the ginger come through. It's sparkling like ginger ale. Its medium sweet. It's classy. It's fluffy and very lightly vanilla at the base. The wood is not detectable for a long time in the wear but at the end you can get it very faintly.

Ok so at first it was like Skinsations bug spray. Not Off, Skinsations... which actually isn’t that bad. I think it’s the lemon note. Most lemon fragrances don’t do it for me. Anyway, the longer I wore it the better it got. Tried it again the next day. Like it better. Also noted that it lasted a solid 12 hrs plus held through a shower. Very impressive.

Ingenious Ginger clone and it's impossible not to like. once you notice the vanilla - it took me about 10 minutes - When you do, it's game over. lovely scent - definitely unisex, great for summer and performance is great although it's not a heavy projector, nor is it meant to be. The bottle is hideous but the scent is top notch.

Its DNA is only like 60% Tyga in the start, but it will never be that close. Jean Lowe Immortal, is probably a more suttle Tyga. IMO, the DNA is very nice, even straight out the box, just depends rather you want to have your own scent, or rep a designer scent. If you want your own scent, this is a killer!

Ive had ravine ginger and this is definitely better to me already wow. It lasts 2 hours longer, ravine ginger was gone off my skin within 2 hours, this lasts about 4 hours on my skin n then its gone. And its only been a day itll prob get better after maceration I think. Love this so far.

got delivered yesterday only , a more intense dupe of ingenious ginger very heavy o ginger,so lasts and projects better than OG , SMOOTHLY TRANSFORMS into a masculine vanilla scent, definitely worth a try

Just got it and right off the bat, I’m a big fan. Great scent, tested it out before bed and could still smell it on skin in the morning. Satisfied with the blind buy!!!

There are so many different opinions on this fragrance. I just received it today, so I will see how it evolves. Currently the opening is very gingery, and not in a good way. I think that will change as it matures....but if not, I really love this! A different take on a rose I didn't expect. A spicey orange rose....a bit woody rose with depth. It smells niche, but very wearable. So interesting! I have nothing like this. To me the bottle is hideous 🫣, but I will live on...I wish I could describe this smell better...a bit like a spicy orange ginger tea from the finest of blends with a few rose petals floating around. Not overly spice and definitely genderless!

The opening is quite different from Ingenious Ginger. Ingenious Ginger is sweeter and smoother, while Taif is sharper with bitter lemon zest and a stronger ginger note. The drydown is a bit closer, but Ingenious Ginger keeps its fizzy sparkle, while Taif leans more vanilla, lemon, and floral. The quality difference is noticeable. If you can afford it, get the original. If not, Taif is still good value for the money.

This scent is very pleasant. The first few seconds of the application smells odd and sharp. But after those first few seconds, it smells sort of like a ginger ale soda. Less of the soda and more of the ginger. It dries into a nice musk/floral too.

I absolutely dislike this fregrance when you first spray it. It smells like cleaning chemicals. After dry down its much more pleasant and takes on a more citrus scent but it only falls in the 'OK' category for me. Love the bottle

I agree with @SunnyScents. It does have this kind of powdery woody note that is off putting to my nose either. I hope it with maturation gets better. There’s something good and something weird in this frag not well put together.

I bought this fragrance not knowing what to expect and personally it let me down. For me it smells very artificial and way too spicy and rose-y. In the dry down it is a bit better but still bad imo.My sister and mum said it smells really good but for me it is a touch too feminine. I would not recommend it for man and for those who are looking for a more masculine leaning fragrance.

Okay, beware that this is overhyped. It does have some similarity to Ingenious Ginger but the mentholated woody note is nauseating. Very ginger heavy and lacking the juicy lemon I thought it might have 🍋

You have to let this sit for at least 2 weeks for it not to smell like a menthol bomb, cheap attempt at something no one has mentioned, Layton. Maybe that's how Ingenious Ginger smells, or Ginger as a scent, but it smelled like not Tygar but "Tiger Balm" and nothing like Turathi Blue. Now fast forward the 2 weeks and it still has that Menthol opening but it settles down within a few minutes. If I were to judge it on the initial opening I would say it smells like a VERY cheap Layton or Tygar attempt, and would not recommend. I'm hoping it gets better with even more time on the shelf, which almost every Middle Eastern fragrance will. I give it a 6 out of 10 for now. The first 2 weeks a 2 out of 10 just for the weird cool bottle. As I smell it on my arm, at this moment, it very much smells like Tygar on the drydown and it's been 15 minutes. Just for comparison I give Tygar of course a 10/10 and Turathi Blue a 8/10. Just be aware it smells like Tiger Balm or sports cream when you first get it. I do want to point out that I completely understand this cost just $40 dollars, so I try to judge it on it's smell and Value at that price point, and only reference the "Smells like" as a comparison for you to relate to. Enjoy!!!!!

It's a blind buy win for me. I'm getting this masculine vanilla that sort of reminds me of something like if you took Lattafa Dynasty and added vanilla to it. It is strong at projecting and sticking around longer than 6-8hrs.

Smells really good but longevity and projection are highly overrated here. It's completely gone after 2-3 hours. I'm not talking about skin scent, I'm talking about gone, as in you can't smell it anymore.
