Oriental Orchid

This in the best realese of all from Rirana house IMO. It has the most addicting smell after Iris Ambrette. It lean feminin, so I can't even use it. White floral in here so gorgeous especially from tuberose.. Sillage and Projection is above average.. Longevity about 7-8 hours.. You will get notice if you wear it.. I imagine women with cheerful and confident personalities using it.. the age between 25-35 year old..

Haven't come across a Rirana I didn't like and this is no exception. Leans too feminine for me to wear personally, but if it's your cup of tea, definitely recommend a try. Performance is amazing. Very clean and summery scent, it is in a word pretty. In two words, very pretty. Definitely gives off a good floral vibe. Great value for the price.

So, I waited forever-and-a-day for this bottle to arrive here in the USA from Malaysia. The perfume arrived on an extraordinarily bad day. So, I hoped the fragrance might lift my spirits-sigh. And while all the perfume's notes-white florals, orchid, chocolate, patchouli, incense-spoke to me, the sum total is disappointing. I'm fairly certain the opening accord, which I find harsh and off-putting, is the combination of indolic white florals. But "Oriental Orchid" opens with an extremely vegetal, sour accord. My husband told me, "I smelled like stagnant swamp water." Not good... FWIW, Oriental Orchid is "slightly" reminiscent of Tom Ford "Black Orchid'" albeit a dialed back, watered down version. Oriental Orchid improves somewhat on skin. But sadly, this perfume does not resonate with me as I hoped it would. If the notes in Oriental Orchid speak to you, save yourself some coin and months of waiting. Just purchase TF Black Orchid and use it sparingly. The drydowns of Black Orchid and Oriental Orchid are nearly identical.

Stunning! This smells like black orchid and velvet orchid layered together with a cleaner patchouli. I smell something herbal besides patch that is a little lemony and camphorous but I can't put my finger on what it is. It becomes very slightly cleaner smelling in the dry down. I do get chocolate in the opening and it lasts for about 15 min until the chocolate is replaced with a clean patchouli and orchids. It's very long lasting and has great sillage! This is definatly on my want list. It's perfect for cold weather. It's mysterious and sexy!

I'll tell you right now, I've frequented niche perfumeries for years, and know when a perfume is quality. Rirana is one of the best affordable houses hands down. This is a calming quality white floral that smells clean. Malaysia knows how to make quality fragrances, and is priced at designer prices. Forget those middle eastern clones and forget designer (except Hermes and Guerlain). Besides Salty Citrus (unless you like iris in a summer fragrance) every one of their fragrances rock, and their fragrance oils are quality and loaded with oils.
