M'Gouna

The rose is more powdery than I expected, but it is still light and fresh. The clementine, instead of presenting as sour, smells quite jammy, likely thanks to the sugar note. I cannot detect any prickly pear sadly, so it seems the note is absent from the perfume as has been commented by others. The moss and leather base notes give some rounding and muskiness/greenness, though I think the top and middle notes dominate the scent profile. Overall this is a nice and inoffensive smell suitable for a wide audience, but not anything likely to knock your socks off. Certainly pleasant and uplifting enough to wear though, considering the price. It also performs well in both sillage and longevity.

This is not a unique fragrance by any means, however, it is the perfect fresh, slightly powdery and green cutrusy rose one can expect. A beautiful, never-out-of-date fragrance specially for spring but just as adequate all year around. If you are looking for something groundbreaking - you won't find it in this fragrance. If you are looking for something that timeless, beautiful, sutable for all ages, seasons and occassions and still has character and a certain leve of depth to it - try it. Personally, I find this fragrance uberfeminine but - especially layered with a woody base - I suppose it can be beautiful on a man, too.

According to the product description of the individual products in the M'Gouna collection, not all products contain the prickly pear note. Unfortunately, the Eau de Perfume is one of them. I hope to test the perfume in my Ritual Store as soon as possible.

Does anyone know if this one is different than the one Fragrantica just posted an article about? The article listed prickly pear as a note in the EDP, which isn't listed here; not sure if there are multiple versions.

The body mousse-to-oil in the M'Gouna series smell like prickly pear and rose. I thought the perfume would also have a prickly pear note, I really enjoyed it.
