Rêve de Hanami

Wandered in to Rituals to pick up a bottle of Fleurs de l'Himalaya, wandered out with that plus a mini 15ml bottle of Reve de Hanami (ideal handbag size). Having tested this over the course of 3 days I feel that while I didn't initially find it all that complex - it does evolve on the skin for me. To my nose the pear isn't prominent as it is dominated by the litchi and sour cherry blossom, but I find I don't mind that at all; the bergamot came through for me nicely - and while the patchouli was definitely present on my skin it is a hint rather than a bomb, which is what I like! Lasting power was 4/5 hours on the skin for me, longer on clothing. Sillage moderate

On my skin, it is really the pear note that comes through and it smells like a bit more powdery and "dark" version of Radiant Nectar by Clean. I actually like it a lot more than I thought I would.

I was given a very small bottle as a gift and I like it, a little floral, a little peppery, light and inoffensive. To me it smells exactly like going to uni in the autumn or spring, like going to the library with a bunch of your new friends. Happy fun and energetic. I am getting a hint of faint leather in the drydown, which is not my favourite but it's still wearable. Not sure if I would buy this myself as the price is a little too much. Warning: I kept this very small bottle in my bag and one day i discovered that most of the perfume had spilled in there. Somehow it just opened and now my bag and everything in it was drenched in Rêve de Hanami :')

I bought this as a work perfume because the mini bottle is super adorable and perfectly handbag-sized. Super juicy, pretty daytime floral fragrance. I can't say that I was getting patchouli from this? just lychee sweetness and clean cherry blossom petals. It smells exactly like the colour of the bottle. This got a little lost for me amongst the sea of other perfumes at work (I work almost exclusively with other women lol), but honestly, this performs as you would expect from a Rituals frag. It's a nice no-brainer, go with any outfit, weekend shopping scent. Not complex by any means, but pretty nonetheless.

The first few seconds of the opening are sharp, then it turns into a beautiful combination of juicy litchi and soft vanilla, which lasts a couple of minutes. After an hour, there is almost nothing detectable on my skin anymore. After an hour, the scent is completely gone. It’s OK if you want to respray during the day, but then you have to consider that the 15ml bottle is gone in less than a week. It’s a bit disappointing that Rituals makes beautiful perfumes at terrible concentration.

Although in the same vibe as Ginza by Shiseido, I much prefer Ginza. This is a youthful, bright and happy scent. Has the profile of a celebrity scent, but with a 'niche' bottle & package design. Wish this was lighter and more airy, it feels thick and jammy somehow. Cherry blossoms are sadly not the main character in this fragrance, but it is nonetheless cute!

It opens with sweet fruity notes, very pleasant. It really reminds me of a sunny day out friends in a park or botanic garden. I really like the bitterness of patchouli. To me, it is indeed a feminine perfume, but not too feminine for men to wear.

It's okay but there's something in there that just smells a bit off. It's rather weak as well. Not that noticeable and doesn't last very long. Got it in a set but I wouldn't buy it by itself.

Fresh and and easy to wear. Cherry blossom with bergamott. I dont feel the vanilla note listed. This is straight up fresh, floral citrus. Light and perfect for the day.

I think this is good! Peppery and fruity but no lasting power or sillage whatsoever. Not worth the price, but I’m still on my second travel size bottle hehe....

Earthy, fruity... i like the patchouli, it’s fresh. I don’t think I’ll ever repurchase it, it’s nice but nothing special

i usually wear this after a shower when i want to wear smt light and fruity !

I LOVE THIS. I got this from my darling little brother as a Christmas present. My sweet brother knows my love for fragrance and this is the one he chose for me. This is almost like a light version of Delina Exclusif. Lovely feminine fruity and floral notes combined with vanilla, amber and patchouli. I can almost detect oud, since it's a bit smoky. I love this, the biggest thank you goes to my brother <3

Rather mature scent. I don't feel any fruity opening, first sniff is very overshadowed by alcohol though. Very heavy on my skin, amber and patchouli are the strongest in this one

I don’t think the patchouli blends well with the other notes. Reminds me of la vie est Belle. The patchouli is gone tho after a while but is too much at the start.

If you and I have similar childhood experiences, this will be like seeing a photograph of your grandmother. Allow me to explain. Like many grandmothers, my grandma loved to drench herself in that classic Gloria Vanderbilt. Literally. Everyone bought her a gift set for her birthday. Everyone, every year. You see where I'm getting at here. It's a lot. It's a fragrance that's intertwined with grandma. Rituals' Rêve de Hanami has some similar notes. It's a generic floral affair. But lacks the depth and richness. It simply falls flat. It's a 2D version of Gloria Vanderbilt. It's like a grainy photograph of your grandmother. There's no depth. It's not your grandmother in real life. But it will remind you of her. It's a forgettable fragrance at best. In a beautiful bottle though. I'll give them that.

Not sure if it's a batch issue, but all of the Rituals perfumes I've tried start off with a huge blast of rubbing alcohol. It takes maybe half an hour for it to settle down, at which point it's a pleasant enough cherry blossom with some vague fruity background. Then another hour later, it's gone. The sillage and longevity don't hold a candle to many cheap body sprays. Big disappointment. Would enjoy it for spring/summer if it didn't need constant reapplication to be detectable.

I love rituals mists, so this scent really disappointed me. It gives rubbing alcohol at first, then it's sweet for a second, turns woody, and then disappears within a minute? I'm not exaggerating, this is the weakest and shortest-lasting perfume I've ever seen. Even Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea lasts much longer than Reve de hanami.

A very generic, musty and unisex pachouli-amber. I've got it as a gift. It smells nothing like cherry blossom. I was hoping to get the original "Rituals de Sakura" scent in a perfume, but disappointingly, no. :(((( The only positive about it is its beautiful bottle :D I've got rid of the perfume and kept the cute hot pink bottle.

This isn’t good enough. A blast of alcohol, then some sweet flowers, then a bit of wood...then gone in ten minutes. I am not exaggerating to say I sprayed this 20+ times, 15 mins ago, and you would never know. Rituals are having a laugh with these perfumes at these prices. Nice bottle but disappointing everything else.

smells like an old lady. not their best perfume and when i was working at a boutique a girl who was like 13 stole this and ran away with her friends. i was not happy. at least she could have stolen something better smelling like fleurs de himalaya.......

Este un parfum banal nimic deosebit

At first spray I didn’t really like it, But after several tries, I enjoy it so much. I just put it on for grocery shopping, and I forgot about it when I noticed a Scent that I thought was the parfume of someone else around me, but not, I just know now that it was this beauty. When I first sprayed it seemed to be just an other almos Boring floral with pear, but now, It’s Woody, a bit balzsam if, warm under the pear and floral notes. Considering the price tag, I think it’s a really nice fragrance, but unfortunately it has no lasting power, nor sillage. :/ I have a mini that I will use up very quickly due to this, but what can I do... :D
