Vison Noir

I just got this in a mini lot off ebay. I have a teeny little micro mini and I want more! Hard to get now and expensive (discontinued) why, oh why is it when I find something so intriguing, addictive and luscious is it always discontinued? I keep smelling my arm, it is so soft, musky, woody,slight hint of crisp fresh flowers,(carnation maybe with something sweeter like a very very distant jasmine maybe) This one is totally unoffensive while still being deep and mysterious. It stays close to the skin and would be great for intimate moments. I just love smelling it on my skin and find it to be very sensual and personal. A real "euphoria" sent. It all just smells so wonderful! Why doesn't someone buy up all these great old formulas and reissue them being true to the original? Even give a new (hot and fashionable name) for those who do not know it, with the real name in tiny letters underneath for those that do? It's just such a waste to let this beauty fade.

Sweet jasmine, orange blossom, carnation, incense, and musk. Definitely an evening fragrance (or for those who desire daytime drama). Very potent, great sillage, excellent longevity. A rather unknown gem. If anyone knows the official notes, they would be greatly appreciated. Purported notes from USHOPTOO's website are as follows: "Top notes: galbanum, hyacinth, neroli, bergamot, cinnamon bark, cassia. Heart Notes: rose, mandarin, jasmine, orchid, tuberose, plum, ylang-ylang. In the arrangement plum is dominated by woody notes (sandalwood, patchouli, cedar, benzoin, and lightly seasoned with vanilla, musk, and amber gris."

I just have to add, this perfume smells so "real" and natural, there is not even a hint of synthetic when dabbed on to the skin. I just love that, I not only love that in a perfume but wonder why this kind of a natural wonderful scent can't be put in candles or room spray, then you could create an ambiance around you to match your personal scent and never use more perfume than needced for your person! I just love it...

Heavenly musk, earthy, sexy, I could smell this forever. It feels like a relaxing massage just to wear it, it is so grounded and real. The bottle is a gem too, gold leaf, and mink stopper. This is from another age of glamour and vintage. Sublime. As I opened my bottle and applied it, some of the gold leaf came off onto my wrist, so I am glittering, it fits the whole experience.

In case anoyne's interested: The notes in this beautiful classy fragrance are Benzoin, bergamot, galbanum,jasmine, coriander, labdanum, lavender, lily, mandarin, moss, moss, orange blossom, patcouli, plum, pot marigold, rose, sandalwood, blackcurrant, tonka bean, vanilla, vetiver, frankincense.

This morning when I first liberally sprayed this mysterious furry lidded (I wonder which poor little critter was sacrificed to adorn my bottle of Vison Noir because I swear the fur feels REAL) blind buy I was almost overcome with emotion. Not for the unfortunate skinned rodent with luxuriously soft downy fur, no :( I was moved by the complexity of the top. Quality vetiver and coriander. Moss and a beautifully constructed marigold with bergamot. Absolutely spectacular. Unisex leaning towards having sexy masculine undertones. Bloody gorgeous. The warmer stages of the flourishing floral heart are latently plummy. Freshly picked sun ripened plums. No jam here. Exquisite. Overall the formulation wears BIG (and Sexy) but never brash. This perfume has been expertly crafted and respects the wearer at all times. Magnificent.

Very rich, very musky, sexy and animalistic! That ́s how i see this fragrance! i don ́t get much flower notes in this one, more wood and musk. I think this is a perfect match to mink, especially the dark one! It just goes as one with my black mink fur coat! Hard to get, only as minis, but really worth trying. To me it is better when applied to the fur dirctly, not onto skin. The lasting power is quite good. And the furry lid is an eyecather!

Vison Noir/Black Mink, a luxurious idea, for a scent redolent with rich and mysterious intrigue, ...though some of that intriguing mystery is just about deciding which notes are being smelled. The two notes that seem to get the votes are musk and orchid. The latter being a famously vaguely constructed (but usually vanillic) fantasy accord. It is probably meant here as a stand-in for the entire formula. ...but yes, some of this wonderment is likely musk, ...yet beyond that, there are so many other sweet, ambery, spicy, fruity, and floral nuances floating about in this very complex blend that pinning down any one of them with a firm identity must prove difficult. Vison Noir's drydown (but not the opening!) does become similar to another enigmatic, orchid-themed fragrance: the now obscure, Jovan Black Orchid, but even this similarity is only partial, with Vison Noir being the more ambery sweet of the two. In summary, I can only suggest one not let any investigation interfere with enjoyment. Vison Noir was clearly designed to remain forever a dark mystery of glamour and seduction.

Candy musky orchids. It has that cute dusti musk that covers the orchid with that tiny bit of sweet powder that could work at night and day time BUT in a cute breezy cold day. For night you can go black suit for men or black gown for ladies as you can spread quite a cute charm around. In general it's musk, orchids, powder, sweet vanilla, and floral dust. Quite a beautiful blend that doesn't have that cloying sweetness. Beautiful.
