Petit Fracas

I am both curious and suspicious when it comes to supposedly modernized or revisited versions of classic perfumes: on one hand I do understand marketing rules and the willing of many Brands to be up-to-date without abandoning the glorious trail left by their masterpieces, on the other I think there is - or there must be - a good reason for a fragrance to be considered as timeless and often used as a comparative for valuing other scents in the same category, hence there’s no need to appeal younger crowd with kind of easier to wear variations. But hey, that’s just my humble opinion, and sometimes I get surprised by the beauty of some historical fragrances’s little sisters (or, age-wise, even children or nephews to them). That’s what happened with Petit Fracas. This fragrance somehow manages to fascinate me, and while I feel I could never pull off the opulent and uncompromising Fracas I would gladly find a place in my wardrobe for this one. Since my first encounter with Petit Fracas the word “retro” instinctively popped up in my mind without any apparent reason (even though I suppose tuberose is responsible for that kind of ancient vibe).. each time I dab some drops from my sample I am carried away by the reverie of being a young lady in the early Twentieth century, meeting my lover in an intricate maze surrounded by sultry flowers and succulent fruits while a chilly wind moves my hair and my velvet dress. An almost caramelized pear greets me, made even more vivacious and youthful by an enticing breath of brisky citrus notes; as soon as this EDP settles on my skin, I am introduced to a harmonious, elegant, softly creamy accord of white flowers, powdery cocoa and tuberose, here thankfully enhanced in its fruity and mouth-watering facets and almost devoid of its usual intoxicating vibe. The whole effect feels much more abstract than natural, as if the perfumer wanted to evoke a precise feeling or painting an image instead of replicating the smell of flowers and fruits: whiffs of delicate petals and juicy nuances surround me like a gentle breeze, and as minutes pass I am more and more reminded of the smell of something... wedding’s confetti! More exactly, the romantic and vaguely nostalgic scent of those little tulle envelops in which each almond is enclosed, retaining the smooth and ethereal aroma of sugar and fabric (it's surprising how the scent of white florals is able to suggest such olfactory sensations depending on the way it is rendered - coconut, butter, almonds, even peach at times - and that's one of the reasons why I find those notes so fascinating and magical). The fragrance doesn’t seem to change drastically from there on, it just gets a bit rounder and more intimate in the drydown, dominated by a soapy hint of tuberose lying on a base of sweet musk and subtle sandalwood that accompanies me for several hours. A huge sillage is not to be found here, this EDP lingers tenaciously but in an extremely natural way on skin... I guess people around me would get a sophisticated, feminine and slightly malicious trail as I pass by wearing Petit Fracas. All in all a very well done and lovable fragrance, a must-try for white floral lovers: thank you again, dear Fragrantica friend, for your thoughtful gift of this sample :) (While the familiarity with Fracas is pretty detectable, I honestly don’t get strong similarities to Madonna Truth or Dare - except they’re both centered on white flowers and sweet notes... this one is subtler, more refined and doesn’t show the suntan lotion effect I definitely get from ToD. I like both, but in a different way and for different reasons).

Petit Fracas has become one of my top favorite fragrances to wear. One that I would choose to keep if I had to downscale my collection to a mere two or three scents. Usually I have trouble detecting the subtlties of contrast if the fragrance is super sweet. That makes it less challenging for my senses...and if there is one thing I am sure about it is that I must be challenged. Otherwise I tend to get bored. This fragrance started out as if it could go that direction for me, but it soon started to intrigue me First, there is that fatty cocoa-butter accord, kind of chocolatey at that. Weird, I thought crossed with Tuberose, which my skin tends to overpower at any amount. Then there at the other side comes the citrus-the concerntrated kind like in the cannisters one adds water to to make juice! This couldn't work!! But it happended!! With each wearing what seemed random settled into something that not only made sense, but a stunner!! Wow, a contemporary perfume that I could sink my claws into. Every time I wore it I fell a little more in love with it, until I became besotted with it. I'ts that pear!!! So juicy and wondrfully reminicent of my favorite Bosc in full ripeness. The pear was a genius addition, rounding out the sweetness. I must say much more appealing than that peach for me in the original. I love Fracas Original. It is a work of art. I feel a little uncomfortable wearing it everyday because on my skin it feels frankly sexually provocative. Truthfully,there isn't a fragrance that I know of that smells so blatantly sexual. All those fleshy flowers!! On my skin, Petit translates as both elegant and free spirited. The whole composition is awesomely concentrated and long-lasting. You can count on a wallop of sillage, so be careful with this one. Original never really grounds itself on me. It's imprint is fleeting, then is detected in drifts and drafts. A contemporary fragrance that doesn't have that super strong alcohol burst early on.. Another sign of the caliber of this fragrance. For what it is: a pure five. Excellent ingredients, longevity sillage which makes it is so worth it's price tag. While there are many perfumes that I am not sure about repurchasing, Petit is the Fracas for me!

this is a really cool perfume. i wore it for the first time a couple days ago. it lingered a full day after on my clothes, one of the longest lasting perfumes i've ever experienced, and the scent evolution is pretty much perfect. it doesn't stray too far from the initial spray, but it settles and calms down from what starts out as an almost metallic bubble-gum smell. Maybe i'm not describing it correctly, but i don't mean it in a negative way. I really like it. I don't think it's juvenile or 'young'. Petit Fracas suggests that its a toned down and less fierce version of Fracas, which I don't have experience with, but I can say that this one is bold all on its own. It's very distinctive, and the longevity and sillage is up there with Alien, so if you're looking for something really unique but not ubiquitous, this could be worth looking into. It's loud, but it still smells niche and refined, albeit the scent does come across as somewhat synthetic. It's an interesting paradox. This is a very confident perfume. I cant see a young girl wearing it at all. It's actually quite suggestive even though its almost candy-like quality can seem innocent. I wouldnt call it sweet in the same way as some fruity perfumes are. It's not mass market. I'd describe it as electric, intoxicating and surprisingly dark and mysterious despite the lack of the usual suspects in its notes composition. If I smelled this on someone I'd absolutely have to know what it was. THis was a blind buy for me but I think most would want to test it first. Although I can't pick apart the notes as i find it very well blended, my overall impression, which would disagree with some of the reviews I see here, is that this is not an innocent girly fragrance. It's more like an innocence lost fragrance, which just might convince you it's sweet when it's actually very devious.

Tuberose is one of my fav floral notes, and if it's one of yours, this is a *must have* for your collection. I actually initially smelled this in Bergdorf's like 5 years ago and it was so memorable and special that it has been on my 'want' list ever since. Funny enough, the salesperson at the RP counter was actually very rude and when I went to explore other Robert Piguet frags, she was like, "These are too sophisticated for you. Try this:" and dismissively handed me the blotter of Petit Fracas. I was so turned off by her attitude, I didn't want to smell it, BUT, LOL, she was right! It was perfect for me! (I mean there are still many other RP frags I have not tried and she is the reason why, but I digress...) This is the perfect candied, bubblegummy (but not too bubblegummy) tuberose. It's got depth, warmth, and dimension from the cacao, but a light, soft, juiciness from the pear. It is somehow so playful, fun and youthful, while still being absolutely sophisticated, well-blended, and artful. It's youthful luxury with great projection, sillage and lasting power. Wore it all day, and at the end of the day, I was still getting whiffs. If you like Gucci Bloom, Tocca Florence, etc... you will LOVE this. It's a step up.

For me Petit Fracas is love at first sight. A nice lady at bergdorf goodman sprayed it on me and I couldn't' stop sniffing off my wrist. I usually do not buy perfumes after first encounter; I would do tons of research and try a sample for at least 10 times to make sure I truly like the perfume. Petit Fracas is the first perfume ever that makes me fall in love after one spray. The rest is history. Creamy, divine, super long-lasting - which is a must for me when I buy perfumes. Usually I put it on in the morning, and I can still smell a strong endnote at night. If I put it on my hair, it would last for days. I always get tons of compliments when I wear it, and my friends would always say "ah this scent is so YOU!" I wore it during one of our first dates with my boyfriend, and I still remember the look of enchantment on his face. Petit Fracas has quickly become my signature. As a white floral lover who demands long-lasting power, I'm truly grateful that I found my signature!

I may have reviewed this before but I’m wearing it again now in warmer weather and it’s such a stunner. I’m surprised this isn’t more popular because it’s really different from other florals, but then again this brand doesn’t do a lot of heavy marketing. Fracas was overbearing for me. I’ve had this bottle since I was 26. I’m 32 now and I don’t wear it as much as I would have if I didn’t have a bad memory of a bad relationship associated with it. Otherwise, I would have considered it signature worthy. Is it sweet? Definitely, in a floral way. To me, it smells like candy in the classiest way possible. It’s a very girly fragrance that’s also very sexy and intoxicating. Nothing heavy or skanky about it, which I love. It lasts and it projects. I love the spray nozzle too (it comes out like a mist). I think it’s perfect for women in their 20s-30s. If you’re looking for a non-boring, addictive floral that not everyone is wearing, give this a try.

I'm new to niche perfumes, so I won't tell what I taste when I'm wearing a fragrance, because I haven't enough experience and knowledge, but I'll explain how it makes me feel: I think every scent recounts a different story, that may diverge from one another but has the same raw plot. Petit Fracas starts with something already known: a familiar, warm, confortating vibe, that reminds me of a classy young woman- yet not a girl- well-mannered and classic (a bit retrò, too). Later there comes unexpectedely a flirtating, decadent and perhaps nasty turn-up, lighted by a citrus note. Even though in a contemporary key. The result is very actual, sexy but also really misterious and sophisticated. I think this scent talks about a jeune femme who just wants to pretend she's a respectable bourgeuois, although she's a modern seducing revoutionary, fighting conformism with a little fracas! I agree, it's not for everyone.

Aurelien Guichard. This guy does not make a loser. Ever. Updating a classic house is a gigantic feat. For Piguet, hes made them all interesting and likeable... I thought I was going to hate this. Pears ...how many times are perfumers dragging out pears on the top. It makes me cringe. However in PF, he pairs this with fresh citrus, tangy rhubarb and a mentholated cool tuberose opens the scent for me. Somehow this works..and works very well. Its a fresh sour take on the tuberose game without veering too green, too oily. ,too humid etc..the bubblegum of the tuberose balances the opening. The Fracas floral heart opens without the full bodied peach note, and I feel the exclusion keeps this modern.Sandalwood, cocoa and musk anchor the scent giving it good longevity and arms length sillage. Sometimes Grande Fracas can be a bit much, but this is a tuberose lovers daily driver. Lovely

I got a sample of this fragance earlier on today and so far I've been testing it on a paper strip. My first impression goes as follows: The scent is actually very familiar to my nose - maybe it's the bubblegum note, though I wouldn't say it's entirely bubblegum, it's more like a mix of bubblegum with that fruit tea I used to drink as a child, combined with the scent of gummy bears I think (it feels kind of nostalgic). :) Very interesting and definitely not something I already have in my collection. The scent is airy and light, yet very noticeable. I can definitely smell the pear, tuberose and jasmine element there. I may buy a full bottle of this later on and will further search for another tuberose based perfumes. Delicious! :)

Petit Fracas is an exuberant fragrance that never fails to make me feel a little happier. It kicks off with a huge blast of fresh mandarin orange peels and pear jam. The heart of the fragrance is all about rich chocolate, lush gardenia and creamy, buttery tuberose. The sillage is huge for the first hour or so, but it quiets down to a cocoa-dusted tuberose-gardenia nestled in a cozy cocoon of nutty, creamy-woody-vanilla that sits close to the skin. If any of this gets on sweaters or scarves, it settles in attractively and lasts forever. Side note: This does not smell like a flanker. It's loud and it has a good dollop of tuberose, but it's not much like original Fracas at all.

Omg talk about underrated. I finally figured out why this perfume is a love for me, I mean Big League love. This is a gourmand for the floral lover. I never really got into the gourmand kick but now I can officially print a name badge and join the gourmies. Sweet creamy chocolate swirled with a syrupy pear topped with the cleanest tuberose ever. It doesn't smell weird at all - it's perfection! I am a white floral lover and I think this is better than Fracas because it literally brings joy to my soul. This is not a sophisticated perfume like it's mother. I appreciate the original for what it is but petite is so much easier to love.

I find I definitely prefer this to the original Fracas, at least in current formulation, for longevity and beauty. The vintage Fracas is wonderful, but that's a different story. The pear in this is absolutely glorious, so natural. I don't detect too much cocoa, but this is primarily a fruity/floral scent... only done correctly and not in such a boring way as many other modern ones are done. This has elegance and stands on it's own two feet, rather than riding the wagon of Fracas or other scents of the same genre. Elegant to its last breath which comes at least 8 hours after application.

I received this perfume today as part of a graduation/xmas gift from mum and sis. I already own Visa of which I absolutely love. Petit Fracas is just as beautiful in a completely different way. Its such an interesting clean musky sensual scent - not as sweet as Visa albeit just as refined and charming. I love the fact that both perfumes stand out from a lot of generic smells on the market. Such a comforting scent that is far more innocent compared to its 'bomb-shell' sister Fracas.

What a lovely perfume this is!! So feminine and sweet, a perfectly executed fruity-floral. It opens with clean, white flowers alongside a very prominent candied juicy pear note. My big fear with white floral perfumes is that they will smell overly sharp or soapy - none of that here. As this develops into the drydown, you pick up more and more of that cocoa note. Who knew cocoa, pear and tuberose would be so lovely. I can't get enough of it.

Oh, Petit Fracas, you delicious, reasonably priced little gem! I love you, though I know those around me will hate you. V fruity and sweet. I am surrounded by a happy little cloud! I thought I was smelling vanilla, but maybe it is a combination of gourmand pear and chocolate? Narrowly escapes the Dreaded Pit of Bubblegum that Mancera's Velvet Vanilla (similar, but less smooth) falls into. Sillage: moderate. Longevity: good!

Petit Fracas is a gourmand tuberose perfume. The opening is sweet and fresh at the same time, pear and citrusses play nicely together. In the heart it's a Fracas - I mean a wonderful tuberose. And the base...the base is just a delight, sweet and chocolaty. Petit Fracas is playful, joyous and flirting younger sister of charming and elegant Fracas. Very enjoyable!

Petit Fracas is a wonderfully romantic, feminine, classic scent. It reminds me of black and white movies and ballroom dancing. I smell gardenia but the ingredients on this web page call out the tuberose as the main note. It also has a tiny, barely-there hint of musk. I think this is a classic that's wearable at all times.

I just received this in the mail. I have to say that I LOVE it! It's sweet, but not overly so. It gives me a fresh, modern, youthful vibe. I can actually see this as a year-round fragrance. I have its mother, Fracas, which I have yet to open. I think that I may go ahead and open it or wait for my Gucci Bloom to arrive.

This is one of the best tuberose fragrances. Something so ethereal and intoxicating about it. It really got me into tuberose. Highly recommend if you are into tuberose or want to dabble. She's lovely. I don't love straight floral fragrances but this has some sweetness and nuance to it.

An amazing summer fragrance. Beautiful, extravagant and more than a tiny bit naughty. It smells like Fracas’ younger sister got into the sweet Pear Sangria at the Midsummers night party at the villa. A little boozy, and oh so sweet. It’s like a wink and a kiss

Testing from decant: So very pretty, super sweet and creamy. I like it alot more than Fracas because it's so much sweeter with a chewy bubblegum thing going on . Absolutely beautiful and I love it.

Like a juicy, fruity tuberose bubblegum, if bubblegum could taste expensive and classy. I LOVE this beautiful, playful, joyful scent.

When I need a cocoa fix, petit fracas comes to the rescue. Creamy, luxury cocoa. Definitely my cup of tea.

A well-done modern interpretation of the great classic Fracas! This has the spirit of the original, but is different enough to have both. Petit Fracas is certainly easier to wear and closer to the current mainstream. It's mainly a tuberose fragrance with a lot of gardenia, too. The flowers are done the same way as in Fracas: hypnotic, creamy, a little powdery, intense - but they're even sweeter than in the original, almost like bubblegum. The first 10 to 15 minutes can be a bit too dry and sour on my skin, but that's a personal issue I unfortunately sometimes have with otherwise lovely white florals. Next to the flowers there is an intensely juicy and dense pear note and a sprinkling of light, sugared cocoa and unlisted vanilla. I also get something that reminds me of ripe pineapple. The musk and sandalwood base is not as pronounced as it is in the original. So, this is a very cute and pretty white floral with some tasty edges, but not enough to turn it into a real gourmand. I like it a lot. Don't think I will buy it anytime soon, I don't love it quite as much as Fracas, but I recommend any lover of sweetened white florals to try it.

I'm on a tuberose journey, so of course I had to try both Fracas and Petit Fracas. Up to this point, my favorites had been Carnal Flower (predictably) and Atelier Cafe Tuberosa (unexpectedly?). What I've learned from trying Petit Fracas is that, for me, there is such a thing as too much sweetness in a tuberose fragrance. It's just this side of repellent, to my nose--I didn't scrub it off and I did go back repeatedly for some up close sniffs, but I can't see myself wearing this or purchasing a bottle. The OG Fracas is better, but still on the sweet side for me. I tried Carnal Flower side-by-side for comparison and it definitely smells more like an actual flower--a little green, a little vegetal, and the tuberose sweetness seems more natural. Having said all that, I think I would like this a lot on another person, where I would be getting lighter wafts.

As a huge fan or the original I was more than eager to try this. "Petit Fracas" for me is a very sweet perfume, it's far superior to other floral fruities, but I can't say this is my style. I dislike the pear note as it's rather "shampoo'ish" to me, I also feel that this is a bit too sweet, not because of the tuberose, but mainly because of the added cacao and pear. I do not find this young and innocent, it is still very old school and similar to "Fracas" just the tuberose is tamed down, it also has a longevity of 7 hours. I would suggest trying this to those who love the original and might fancy something a bit different, but in the same traditions.

At first spray I get bubblegum, banana and pear. As it settles into the skin the sweetness dies down a little. The Jasmin starts to come through and brings on a sparkling quality. This starts smelling like a Chanel perfume, a little earthiness in there too. But the bubblegum florals are present all the way through. I was originally going to go with fracas but this played out so differently on my skin. This perfume says playful but sexy at the same time.

So pretty, this alludes to a very youthful expression of beauty. It’s innocent, slightly powdery, soft and feminine. The pear combined with tuberose is very refreshing and distinguished. This reminds me of a ballerina. The cocoa emerges in the dry down, adding a dry and effervescent sweetness. Although the fragrance is beautiful, it doesn’t resonate with my personality and is unfortunately a little too well behaved. Gardenia tends to have this effect.

This is way too strong. I don ́t think I have ever had a perfume that strong. With just one spray I got enormous sillage. At first I sense a little pear, but it ́s very faint. Then I get tuberose. And that ́s it. I get no cacao nor musk. It reminds me of My Way, Armani, but much stronger. So be careful, I don ́t think it ́s a safe blind buy. However, if you love white flowers, go for it!

Only wear this for special occasions or date night, because you don't need to reapply. It is a bomb, probably the strongest I own and can smell it all night and on pillows in the morning. I'm not sure about notes, but the best way to describe it is if Harrods sold their own bubblegum. It is very bubblegummy, but a grown up, elegant bubblegum x

A composition shimmering with multifaceted shades. The opening is sweet and zesty with tangy citrus notes. As time passes, I catch in the air a trace of delightful, subtly gourmand sweetness, while with my nose pressed to the fabric, I sense sharper citrus tones. These accords continuously intertwine like flickering reflections.

When first sprayed this smells exactly like Hubba Bubba’s strawberry/watermelon bubblegum. Very sweet and fruity bubblegum. On dry down the florals come through more with a slightly powdery cocoa note. I love it 😍

Very heavy, realistic flower scent. Creamy, warm and elegant.

Petit Fracas is alright. I cannot believe I'm stating this but I find the tuberose note very gentle and soft. I'm not a fan of the opening bergamot, mandarin and pear notes. But as with most citrus openings, the opening notes abate very quickly, which allows Petit Fracas to open up and develop. Petit Fracas develops as a dusty, dry, mixed-white-floral fragrance. I wish the fragrance offered a bit stronger tuberose note. But the mixed florals, along with the pear and cacao (vanilla more than chocolate) compensate for the lack of full-on tuberose, I suppose. The original Fracas DNA is present in PF but my nose has to search for it. I located a great deal on an unopened, 3.4 oz bottle. I like the fragrance but it is not the tuberose love I hoped it would be. Over time, I find the fruity accord suffocating. And I'm not a fan of all the fruity notes drowning out the tuberose.

There is something about wearing perfume with gardenia that makes me feel a bit like a Vegas showgirl. Gardenia tends to sing loud and proud on my skin. I don’t hate it and it can be super fun to feel a bit flashy, like a showgirl, but only if I’m in the right mood. However, I love tuberose and was excited to try petit fracas and hopeful the gardenia wouldnt be too much. It must be my body chemistry :( Unfortunately I’m stuck feeling a bit conflicted. I don’t hate it, I really don’t but.... if I reach for any Piguet perfume I want to feel classy AF (yes, I know that’s not a classy thing to say). This makes me feel a bit too trashy. I do think it will be perfect for my next vacay to Las Vegas, so I will hang on to it and enjoy it at the right moment.

Definitely has the Fracas DNA and the longevity/power you'd expect from a high-end scent, though less complexity. The sweet, bubblegum-my quality is dialled up to 11 and the bitter, green, rainforest notes absent. Realising that KKW Crystal Gardenia is basically a dupe of this with the tuberose note switched out for gardenia; smelling the two side-by-side is probably a good indicator of the differences between the two in the broad 'white floral' umbrella. Another piece of evidence that my nose can barely pick up cacao notes when they're not front and centre of a perfume - this is just sugary-sweet rather than chocolatey to me. Totally pleasant but really doesn't have the showstopping quality of Fracas and feels much more easily dupeable.

Perfume 17, tested on paper, sample This used to be quite unpleasant to me because something in it reminded me of the chemical used in portable toilets in Croatia, but maybe I've just become more tolerant of that note because it doesn't bother me as much anymore. Actually, once the fragrance sits for a while and everything blends together, it's even pretty okay. Sweet and fruity. My association is blueberries or that fragrant black variety of small grapes, but apparently the sweet fruit here is pear. The nose and the brain can be really strange sometimes. I also imagined rose and vanilla here, but it actually has neither. I got everything wrong. An interesting fragrance, but not my taste. I wouldn't wear it.

First Impressions: This is fracas but more of a fruity floral version of it. It’s much more faint I believe. It has an almost candy version of fracas. It also has the vibe of BDK Pas ce soir, but it’s not as cheap candy store as that one. To preface this the dry down and the overall vibe is not the same to me. Like they’re tuberose but vier off in way different directions. For now I think that the original fracas is my favorite since this one does lean on a generic more faint side. Edit 1: Oof whoever said this smells like petrol, relaxer, and or synthetic sweetener you’re right. I like the opening, but then something in the dry down is giving chemically in a bad way. I couldn’t put my finger on it till someone said it. Like it mostly smells like perm relaxer to me. That artificial sweetness that’s covering up that bitter chemically compound. I’ve tried Fracas and Petit Fracas again, and I got to say they do ver off different ways, but I’m not liking the Petit Fracas at all. Maybe I can get used the original, I think I need to grow on that one though. Verdict: pass- chemically artificial sweetener covering up something animalic like hair treatments or gas.

Exactly @genny17 - ! Petit? This is a jet plane of a perfume. I have to say that this post is in sympathy for those people who were asphyxiated by 'Poison' in the 80s (never was a perfume so aptly named). I used to wonder what the note was that so disturbed me - it's tuberose, and it seems to be love or hate. My take on tuberose is a back alley where you go to find some spare parts for you car, in haste you step right into a pool of petrol. It's high summer, there's been no rain, so this is super condensed petrol (extrait de petrol), there's no way of losing the aroma without a thorough shower (involving loofahs or exfoliant cream) and a complete change of clothes. I'm not exaggerating when I say this smells exactly like old petrol to me. I find it so strange that this note is seen as ultra feminine - I love the idea of a voluptuous ultra femme diva who makes no apologies for who she is, but to me, tuberose is a huge turbo diesel fart so enormous that it refuses to diffuse even when you open the window. This flower must really divide opinion in the perfume world, or is it just me?

From a 2 ml sample: I personally find this to be very different from the original Fracas - definitely more modern, younger and wearable. Opening: strongly fruity and sweet (pear and mandarin, I cannot smell bergamot); the tuberose grows qickly on the skin. Middle: the other white florals start combining with the tuberose, which remains the predominat note; now the fruity notes are secondary to the florals. Drydown: the musk calms down the powerful florals but it's luckily not overly evident; sweetness is still here but not overpowering; I cannot detect any sandalwood. I do like it but I don't love it: it's a bit too sweet on me. I really wish I could detect the cacao note, but my nose is not cooperative.

I bought this accidentally wanting a sample of the current version of the normal Fracas and only realised what it was on application. The initial massive wallop of generic, extremely sweet fruit is just too much and wayyyyyy too cheap and destroys this fragrance for me. Pity, as the tuberose that comes later is a good tuberose. This is Angel's younger and less intelligent sister who likes being admired for being 'sexy' more than she likes sex. ,

For some reason this reminds me of that pink opaque public restroom liquid soap. Which I hate. Not sure what it is - the pear mixing with gardenia? When I bury my nose deep into my skin and take a whiff it’s more complex and it loses that association but when I smell it further away it’s that pink fake floral soap

The smell of PERM/RELAXER SOLUTION in a bottle. Has my bottle gone bad because that’s all I got from this. Totally unwearable unless smelling like freshly processed hair is your thing. I don’t understand what causes that perm solution scent? Is it the combination of pear and the type of tuberose used?

To my nose and taste even the original Fracas could be a "petit tuberose". This is a fruity version. The fruitiness is quite overwhelming as it is strong and overshadows the florals. Petit Fracas smells naive and playful. That being said - not my vibe.

I have tried this perfume on my skin twice, using a tube sample from La Libertine. I received the same results both times. There is a bitter note that I believe comes from the bitter mango, fruit salad notes, which ruins this fragrance for me. I really dislike the clash between the sweet and bitter elements. Overall, the scent is sickly. I hate this perfume. The fragrance is strong for the first 30 minutes, then becomes a skin scent with low sillage within the next 2-3 hours. This perfume on my skin is screechy, unbalanced and a mess. I liked the slight tuberose, which is overshadowed by the terrible, overpowering bitter mango (not listed in the ingredients). The notes look better than the actual smell. The florals and tuberose are overshadowed. I did not get the creamy floral notes as with the original Fracas. I cannot detect the Fracas DNA. Do not blind buy this perfume; you need to try it first.

Unfortunately, this fragrance has a nice floral, cocoa smell, and fruity notes. Unfortunately, I get this overpowering mango smell. The mango linked to chocolate and fruit notes is sickly. While the fragrance smells strong in the first hour, it then turns into a close skin scent with the next 2-3 hours. The notes for me are unbalanced and not smooth. This perfume is screechy. I love the choc, but the mango (which is not listed in the ingredients) is pungent. The creamy tuberose for me is not here. On my skin, this scent does not work for me and smells like a mess. What I mean is that the notes clash on my skin and not in a nice way. I enjoy Fracas better. I did not get the Fracas DNA with this perfume.
