Judging from the bottle's design, this line is meant to appeal to those who like OTT gold flourishes and Rococco-ish styling but the fragrance itself is understated. I get a balanced rose blend and myrrh accord as well as amyris wood, which has a citrusy-peppery scent. I have an amyris EO but in perfumery, the amyris acts very similar to pink pepper - it's aromatic and bright. I get an inverted pyramid in that the amyris is really noticeable on opening: aromatic, pronounced, fresh, but it dissipates. Then the rose and myrrh emerge, equally balanced, and it's a warm combination, far more savory than sweet, as one gets with rose-incense scents, though I do get some sweetish tobacco nuance. It has a very smooth transition: there's more rose than myrrh then more myrrh than rose, then just traces of warmth at the end.

The opening of this one is glorious. So much rose! The blend of three roses comes together enchantingly well, softly carried by the underlying myrrh. It smells regal and mysterious. Very sadly for me, when the base notes kick in, the enchantment is broken. I was not familiar with Amyris as a note, and unfortunately I am finding that it just doesn't agree with my skin. But that's just my skin chemistry, and I am certain this could be absolutely majestic on someone else.
