Uomo Parfum

This was a 2022/2023 release. Glad to see it here finally. Notes for this are incorrect, as is the release date. Here are the correct ones (from cavalli themselves): cardamom, black pepper, incense, olibanum, tonka bean, amber and osmanthus. And it smells amazing. average performer. Great deal for the price. No saffron, or violet. Completely different fragrance. (Black bottle) has violet. Not the brown/gold one here. Edit to add: I am also reviewing the brown bottle with gold cap, and cannot find anything regarding violet in this composition anywhere. Maybe someone at fragrantica can secure the actual notes... Edit #2 the notes fragrantica selected are incorrect. The notes in my post are directly from Cavalli.

Gent scents made a really positive review about this cheapy, so I pulled the trigger not expecting much. It is only $33, the bottle looks cheap and tacky...but the fragrance is amazing. I get honey, osmanthus (apricots), dates, Saffron and spices. Sweet, fruity and spicy awesomeness. The performance is good and it is a winter/autumn or evening scent. Rochas Moustache EDP, Turathi blue and this guy are my favorite cheapies by far, specially considering you can get all 3 for $100. I will keep rebuying them.

Dear fragrantica moderators/fragrance note adders, please fix the notes for this Parfum version from 2023. These are the notes for the old EDT. This one smells closer to Stronger With You, or something like Asad Bourbon. Maybe even a Most wanted flanker. Darker, warmer, more toffee like with an ambery warmth. Some Aromatics in there too. But no violet at all. Very nice fragrance. Performance is average.

I also think that this one is launched in 2023. This is a very powdery scent and in my opinion this feels more like a parfum version of " Uomo Deep Desire" more than of a regular "Uomo" beacuse of that slightly gourmand-cinnamon touch. Very sophisticated fragrance, good for dates, special ocassions and even clubbing. I am the big fan of the whole Uomo line so it's 10/10 for me.

Picked up for a low price. Great scent in the open and in the dry down. The problem is longevity. The projection is good for the first 20-30 min, and then I can't smell it anymore - and I'm wearing it. I have to put my hand to my nose to smell it after an hour. The scent is non offensive, warm, woody, and slightly spicy. I can't think of a comparison, but John Varvaros Vintage is a decent comparison. Although, Uomo Parfum smells better, and more modern. Vintage smells good, but also smells like something from the 70s. At the current price I paid, this is a solid find and a joy to wear.

After reading the reviews, I am convinced people are talking about two different fragrances. The old Cavalli Uomo, and the new one in the new bottle. The new one has a prominent note of honey in the opening and nice woody dry down. This is not the old formulation and notes on fragrantica are related to the older square bottle, which is a bit different. This has really good performance (above average).

I'll be honest, when I smelled this at the store, this smelt a lot more complex and deep than it actually is. I get a bit of sweetness, but mostly a slight kick of maybe black pepper. It is pretty masculine, and smells rather nice, but it isn't really something special in my opinion - could've lived without it. Projection and longevity are great, nothing to complain about. I got it half off due to a discount, wouldn't really recommend you get this at full price.

This reminded me of boss bottled elixir in the opening for 20 seconds. Fast forward barely noticeable on skin. No trail. Lasted like 3-4 hours in cold weather on clothes. For a parfum, this is weaker and I have edt’s that perform better. I don’t think this is a parfum. It’s woody and somewhat frankincense-y but barely noticeable. Waste of money.

The notes on Fragrantica are not the same as the above bottle. I don’t think the bottle I have is fake because it smells high quality but it’s a dark scent and not as bright as the above notes imply. Mine is woody, warm, spicy, powdery and sweet. Also it’s a vanilla scent reminiscent of le male elixir or Afnan 9pm elixir

smells like sweet dry fruits, like dates or something, with a hint of something like dark chocolate! too loud and honestly could work better for ladies not men! Saffron also was present but in dark sweetened way.

I honestly don't even know how to describe this scent, it's a very tough one to pin down and I feel like the listed notes above may not even be accurate. Whenever I spray it, the image it conjures up is a cold slab of granite (scent is subjective *Vincent* [the clown above me, if that's his real name] and yeah, I got mine from FrangranceNet so it's legit, and it's the same box / bottle pictured above). It's pretty intense but has a really linear scent profile. I feel like it's perfect for autumn. It gives me a headache when I wear it, but I do like it and I don't have anything that smells even remotely close to it, so points for uniqueness. Btw, the review below which listed these notes, seems to be most accurate: Cardamom, black pepper, incense, olibanum, tonka bean, amber and osmanthus.

This is what my bottle looks like. This is what it was called when I ordered it from Joma. But the notes and the other reviews make no sense to me. To me, this opens with a very sweet honey scent, and dries down to a cozy spicy woody scent. To me, it's a more mature version of the really popular mass appealing scents. Projection is great. Lasts all day.

Highly slept on. This, especially for the price, is an amazing oriental. It's interesting... Not gourmandy, not a vanilla overdose, not a usual DNA but easily liked. Woods, spices, surprising freshness, some dust-powdery qualities. John Varvaros Vintage's younger brother who dresses different. They don't smell the same, but they play a similar genre.

Cold slab of granite? This is a warm amber. I am starting to believe some people in here have a different fragrance than the one I have (bought in a legit retail store). I agree with MR.X partially, it does somewhat give a vibe of sweet dried dates.
