Mademoiselle Rochas Eau de Toilette

Mademoiselle Rochas was launched in 2017, starting a new pillar of women's fragrances by the brand. The fragrance, in Eau de Parfum concentration, was created as a tribute to Madame Rochas perfume (1960). In 2018, its first variation arrived on the market: Mademoiselle Rochas Eau de Toilette. The visual identity was maintained, but the box and the grooved label now feature white paint and the contrasting details have been given a more vivid color. It is worth remembering that, in hands, the liquid is more transparent than the one shown in the pictures on the internet. The floral-fruity signature was maintained, but it gained a more relaxed personality, reinforcing the campaign's slogan: “Fun in Pink”. For this, notes of bergamot, violet leaves, black currant, and pink pepper were used, in the head. In the body, a floral bouquet of roses, lily of the valley, Sambac jasmine and honeysuckle, as well as a plum note. In the base, cedar, musk, and benzoin enclose the olfactory pyramid. Mademoiselle Rochas Eau de Toilette is adorable in every way. Is its fragrance innovative? No. But it is timeless, cheerful, versatile, and full of quality. It is at these times that the positioning of a brand like Rochas is noticed. On the skin, the fragrance evolves on three main notes, the so-called key ingredients. They are: black currant, jasmine, and benzoin. Initially, there is an acidic and slightly fruity freshness, but it is not able to sublimate the floral content of this creation. Then, almost immediately, a floral accord explodes. Here it is important to say that, although many portray the body of this composition as a bouquet of white flowers, there are no indolic nuances. Jasmine and lily give light and green floral nuances, which gain a special touch of delicacy, thanks to the velvety aspect of the plum. Mademoiselle Rochas Eau de Toilette does not seem to change on the skin. But, over time, the rose becomes present and brings an effect that makes us imagine a change of colors when it gains shades of pale pink, that very clear one, which is used in bridal bouquets. Finally, the benzoin note gives the final finish, with its sweet nuances that do not make you sick, because they are balanced by the lightness of the cedar and, above all, by the clean effect of white musks. Mademoiselle Rochas Eau de Toilette is for all women: the young, the innocent, the sensual, the modest, the mother, the powerful, the humble, the romantic, etc. The woman of this fragrance has no defined age, nor social status. She only needs to represent a single word: delicacy.

Delicate musky floral. I'm getting mostly honeysuckle and a bit of rose with a powdery benzoin white musk base. My nose is not picking up on any plum, lily of the valley or pepper. I think that I must be anosmic to pink pepper because I don't detect it in any perfumes which feature it as a note like Roberto Cavalli signature, Banana Republic Peony and Peppercorn and others. At the open a quickly fading bergamot and a blackcurrent that lasts for a few hours at least. I do get a nod to Tocade in here somewhere. Mademoiselle Rochas EDT is a whisper. It reminds me of a ghost. This isn't a bouquet of flowers it's a little honeysuckle and a rosebud that a child picked and placed in your hand. You're trying not to accidentally crush the flowers because it's fragile and you love it. You want to keep it and for it to last forever even though you know it won't, like Zu Zu's petals. My favorite part is the tenacious long lasting white musk powdery makeup base. It doesn't smell like baby powder, it's like a combination of the natural powdery scent of some flowers distilled and segregated until the floral component is gone and all that's left is the powder. Also a little makeup powder. Subtle and lovely. Well groomed. Versatile. Update: After wearing this multiple times the cedar note is now noticed and I'm getting that pencil shaving impression people keep talking about. The lack of sweetness compared to many modern perfumes is what I like about this.

I don't believe in blind buys. But this is my first and only successful one. 30€ for 90 ml. The packageing and the bottle are superb in quality - perfect atomizer/sprayer! The scent itself reminds me of Chanel Chance Tendre but less headache inuceing and with a warm strong violet note we all know from Daisy. The dry-down is really plesant, no weirdly sour or metallic notes (that I get from Daisy) - really high quality skin-scent feel for at least half of a day. All in all I would say it is like MJ Daisy and Chanel Chance Tendre but at the same time better than either of those perfumes. And let me remind you - for only 30€! I just can't believe it can be true. It is so good I literally might wear it to my wedding. EDIT: This seems to be discontinued, so I ordered the last 3 bottles from one shop that still had it. This is just wonderful.

It's a YES for me! I can definitely pick up: the blackberry, the rose, the honeysuckle, and something that keeps the smell fairly light but still there for quite a while. This almost reminds me of the blue fragrant, Shower to Shower powder, but not exactly. It's simply pretty!! I am someone who does not like many white florals and who does not like to smell like an "old lady"...to my nose anyway. I feel like I can wear this on a date, or holding a small baby, or going to a football game - and not be too flowery, or too in people's face, or too sweet to the point where it's annoying. Lovely!! I got this from TJ Maxx for $12.99 @1oz - and I ain't mad at it!!

Green and delicious. Honeysuckle, rose, and black currant create some magic along with the musk. The fruit is juicy and the florals are soft and creamy. I REALLY love this, it's my favorite of the Mademoiselle range. It also PERFORMS!! Yes, it's linear, but who cares? It smells GOOD. And lasts hours and hours. Unbelieveable for an EDT, Lancome could bottle this and charge $98 for it! I think my 1.6oz was $16 shipped.
