Rochas Man Intense

“Rochas Man” needs no introduction, just a reminder for the sleazy noses of the aficionados: it’s the prophetic and hieratic monolith of gourmand haute perfumery, a masterpiece by Maurice Roucel. This new flanker is - happily - a more intense version of the original - in eau de parfum concentration - with all the naturally consequent goodness of that: More richness, creamier, warmer and with a few small tweeks that make it finer than ever. It continues to maintain the distinctive character of its kind, discreet and respectful projection - which is so pleasant and seductive -, but with more charm and duration. This release is masterfully balanced: suggestive, long-lasting but at no time excessive, invasive or "noisy". Just as “Rochas Man” has been one of the fragrances that has given me the most compliments - and results - in my entire life, I already anticipate this release is my new “unicorn” date fragrance (for intimate, very close encounters); this scent of sweet coffee with vanilla, combined with lavender and soft woods, always helps me feel good and happier. The original is a little fresher and more “airy” than this one - despite its enormous similarity -, so they are not redundant: You can use the OG during the day and apply a few sprays of this one when you leave work and go to the movies with a pretty and loving mate... DYKWIM? ... So feel good, be happy and make people happy too. :)

First impressions: I’m in love with this smell and I think the quest for a perfect coffee scent is finally over since my beloved Givenchy Play Intense is discontinued This does open up a bit sharp as on the opening you get a strong roasted coffee smell and sharp/medicinal smelling lavender. It’s actually quite nice but it is slightly harsh so please let this settle on skin before judging this !! As it dries down you get more of the cappuccino smell as the coffee smells more sweet/creamy and less robust and the sharpness of the lavender dies down but is still present. What you get is a very cozy,warm and inviting coffee smell that will put you in the state of a mind of a great smelling coffee shop. As this dries down it doesn’t change much but as time goes on it does get more smooth and creamy while the lavender gives a nice airy freshness that is very relaxing !!! I can see this being a people pleaser for sure and especially for all the coffee lovers out there ! In comparisons to the OG. It’s more mature and grown up smelling,has a stronger coffee note, but also has a more natural smelling lavender note and much less sweetness. I highly prefer the Intense but I still do enjoy the OG

If you liked the original Rochas Man but wished it had better performance, Rochas Man Intense is the answer. It’s a fixed version, better in every way. This is what the original should have always been: bolder, long lasting, and more satisfying. The projection is just right, and the longevity is phenomenal. It clings to my skin for hours, leaving a beautiful trail behind. It's an EDP after all. The scent opens with that familiar, addictive blend of coffee and lavender, but it’s richer and more robust. The vanilla and sandalwood in the base are smoother and creamier, making the fragrance feel more luxurious, at a low cost. - Scent: 9/10 - Bottle: 6/10 (still not a fan of the shape, and it being more pink doesn't help..) - Performance: 7.8/10 (projection is average, but lasts nearly all day) - Price: 9/10 on discounters - Occasion: Great for winter/fall days and nights, and also the coldest spring days. Perfect for special occasions or just as an everyday cold weather scent. - Number of sprays: 4-5 (in cool weather) Overall: 8/10 ☕

I love this fragrance. It's inexpensive and great value for money. But as others have said, performance isn't the best and it pretty much disappears on skin in a few hours. That lovely coffee note lasted about 1.5 hours on my skin before leaving just a sweet vanilla base note. If it had better longevity and sillage, and that coffee note hung around for longer, it would be a perfect 10 from me. As it stands, I think It needs to be layered with something similar to elevate it. Maybe Ferragamo Uomo or D&G Devotion Pour Homme? Perhaps Rochas will treat us to an Elixir flanker that actually delivers on the 'intense' scent we were expecting. Here's hoping. 8/10.

This opens with a striking burst of fruits blended with a woodsy accord, before gradually retreating into what is powdery, vanillic heaven. It strikes the perfect balance between a close skin-scent and medium sillage, enveloping the wearer in a warm, creamy cloud. While woods remain detectable, the coffee note is not very prominent. For anyone who remembers and loves the original Rochas Man, its DNA runs through this version, yet steps away from the EDT freshness, paving the way for a more mature, bewitching potion. Think Mon Guerlain blended with Hypnotic Poison... sweet enchantment.

I now own both the Intense and the EDT and have to say the Intense wins. It is so much smoother with a very nice creamy cappuccino note which is there from the very beginning. The lavender note is just right and the vanilla is not sickly sweet. I much prefer the intense. Ideal for cold weather and nights out. A very nice gourmand fragrance. It does remind me of the discontinued Givenchy Play Intense which I loved. I have started to layer this with D&G Devotion Pour Homme which is very nice indeed. A much stronger coffee trail.

Had and sold the original Rochas Man Intense, so had to acquire the re-release. Not as sweet as intoxicated and A*men, but sweet none the less. Absolutely get your nose on this one if you enjoy gourmands or frags within the coffee genre. Very impressive and from a designer brand that doesn’t get as much love in the market. The minimalistic phallic bottle shape which always cracked me up is a reminder of the old adage never judge a book by its cover, or its what’s on the inside that counts.

Ignore the haters. If you’re here it’s because you love the original but disappointed by it’s performance. This one is spot on the original, a bit more vanilla making it a bit denser but overall, same vibe as the original. Performance is like 6-7 hours which is an upgrade from the EDT. It’s not beast mode but it’s such a classy scent that you just can’t ignore and must pick it up in my honest opinion. You know the scent is 10/10, you know the performance is better now, so why not?

I got Rochas Man Intense at the same time as the OG Rochas Man to compare them. To me, they are incredibly similar. The biggest difference is a slightly stronger coffee note in the Intense version, while the OG feels a bit fresher due to the raspberry and the stronger citrus and floral notes. Overall, the difference is not that big. When not comparing them side by side, they feel the same, so grab any bottle and enjoy these heavenly perfumes.

More wearable coffee scent than halloween man x, while coffee break by maison margiela is still probably the most wearable. The cappuccino note is nice to the nose and doesnt dominate the whole formulation. Usable in day or night time, fall winter spring seasons are the best times to wear this. Someone mentioned an iris note in this fragrance, but I dont get that at all. It's just sweetened off lavender.

I bought Rochas Intense for around €20 during a sale. At first, it left me underwhelmed—it felt almost invisible on my skin. Much later, I decided to try it on clothes (something I didn’t even realize you could do at the time), and that changed everything. On fabric, it really comes alive and smells fantastic. It does take a generous 6–7 sprays, but still—this has become one of my favorite fragrances.

The original is my favorite men cologne ever. Can’t wait to smell this intense version. Ugh, too bad I won’t be able to smell it on anyone, no one seems to gravitate toward this amazing scent! Might buy the smallest bottle that they offer just to spray it in the air! Lol

If you liked the original then you’ll enjoy this one. It’s darker than it’s predecessor and lasts longer. I just layer the two versions together to get the best of each one. Sweet coffee scent is a comfortably nice fall and winter frag.

Very close to Rocha Man original before reformation 👍 good release 👍 but I still prefer the edt version which is more complex my 👃 the best thing is to layer both! ❤️

Very old fragrance, you probably never knew existed. Was extremely hard to find. I’ll definitely be picking up a few bottles of this re release!

The cappuccino note is definitely still there! A little more well rounded of the original. And a bit stronger. Glad they re released this one

Rochas was first so how Can this dupe roll coffee break?

I always wanted to try the og rochas man, however, I could never find it, so when the new release came up, I took my chances and...well here's the verdict: It's a pleasant scent no doubt about it. The cappuccino and the woodsy scents are very prominent when sprayed. I hardly notice the notes of lavender and the citrouses and the vanilla graces it's presence when the perfume starts to dry down. To sum up, it's a fragrance that seems to have 3 notes throughout it's longevity. And speaking of longevity...well it's kinda long lasting alright, after 7 hours you'll gonna get faint wiffs here and there, that you forget that you were wearing it. Has for the projection of the scent, it's the weakest fragrance I have in my entire collection, it kinda makes a bubble around you all day, so if you wanna try to impress someone on a date, she has to come close to you. Definitely a good fragrance for office, because you won't offend anyone with this fragrance. Although I'm tempted to try this one during a hot spring day or summer to test it's longevity and projection, it might be just like Kenzo pour homme EDP version, and be a beast fragrance, without knowing it.

Just received this one too. I was already bought and fell in love with moustache so this was supposed to be easy blindy buy. As a scent only I excepted little bit more. Its not bad but its missing something. Its very subtle. Very much of focused and steady one but would need some edge I think. The performancewise I would try it more on little bit on warmer than now (winter +/0 celcius). Since it seems to be working better in more heat. The projecting time and performance was allready more like an activated. Allthough wouldnt be my first pick to the gym, Id try it on spring or fall. Wouldnt hurt to try even on cold summernight. As a opening, it opens with widely but subtly lavender mostly and in some very subtly coffeehint and vanilla. Aa a time goes by the coffee takes over in a good way. As a pyramid says its about that. Im really not into trying the normal version after this. Its okay scent but nothing special like moustache.
