Amande Persane Eau Fraiche Parfumee

It breaks my heart that Amande Persane Eau Fraîche has been discontinued, because it is truly the most beautiful almond-forward fragrance I’ve ever experienced. The almond is soft, powdery, and gently luminous. The powderiness comes from iris, though the iris itself doesn’t take center stage; instead, it lends the composition a velvety, airy texture, like a gossamer veil. The opening citrus (mandarin and bergamot) is delicate and fleeting, more of a soft shimmer than a bright sparkle, allowing the almond and iris to shine. As it develops, the almond deepens but doesn't grow heavy, cushioned by a subtle touch of tonka that feels smooth rather than sweet. Finally, cedar grounds the fragrance without making it woody. It’s just a quiet backbone that keeps everything balanced. The overall effect is soothing, refined, and quietly elegant. It's a perfume that wraps you in comfort but still feels exotic and transporting, like walking through a serene Persian garden at dusk. It’s powdery, almondy perfection, and one of those rare perfumes that feels both understated and unforgettable. If you love almond scents, this is a treasure. I only wish it were still available.

Amande Persane is back! In Héritage Collection with Shiso, Gingembre, Thé Vert and Lavande Royale. It might take a bit more effort to find it and there is, unfortunetly, no body care, but it's again in production! The lady who did it is Delphine Jelk, she did a bunch of overpriced exclusive Guerlain stuff among other things. I love how well known noses did humble little colognes for R&G like Dominique Ropion Bois d'Orange, Nathalie Lorson Fleur d'Osmanthus or Francis Kurkdjian Fleur de Figuier and no one knows about it except few perfume buffs like me. Here in Europe, R&G is something you remember from your grandperents bathrooms and something you would buy as a quick solution for mother's day while in pharmacy for some aspirine. Affordable gifs, well tolerated body care and universally liked little perfume waters perfect for everyday pick-me-up. Wearing Amande Persane is like wearing your favorite baby blanket or that pajamas that you should have thrown out ages ago and eating cake at the same time. It's the ultimate comfort.

I love this almond scent, which goes on like marzipan and dries down to a powdery floral musk, but it's a skin scent from a half-hour onwards. I only got any lasting power from it, by using the full range i.e. shower creme, moisturiser then the Eau Fraiche. I know it's not meant to last, but it's frustrating when the scent is as nice as this! I'm keeping my small hoard for winter, when it lasts a bit longer. It was never available widely in the UK anyway, and I'm very sad R & G are stopping production. It will join Vetyver and Almond Blossom as a much-missed part of the range :(

I was told that this is being discontinued, right as I am exploring Roger & Gallet fragrances... So I am very pleased to have received this in a swap, thanks dear Lily2911!! It's a lovely scent, makes me wonder why it's being discontinued... It's sweet, warm & cozy. I don't detect any citruses, just almonds, vanillic/aromatic tonka and a dust of powdery iris. Simple, but delightful. It's soft, not too long lasting and stays close to the skin, but sometimes that's all you need :) ♥♥♥♥

I'm really surprised by this fragrance. It's soft but has a powdery soft spicy edge also. It's appropriate in the cold seasons but I would say also in spring-summer maybe in the evening. It's a sophisticated almond but also a little seducing. It's very resemblant of Bois farine by L'Artisan parfumeur, good quality materials!! I recommend buying it if you like the scent profile, it is also inexpensive!

This is a nice light almond scent with a good amount of freshness on my skin. I have lots of almond perfumes but this is the freshest. This will be great for summer. I also get some woodiness and the sweetness is there but in no way gourmand. Almost has a breeziness if that makes sense. Longevity is average and this is a skin scent on me at least. I am glad I have it.

What a delightful surprise. Clean citrus, almond, a little powdery. Amazing for the price. Great for summer holidays or relax at home and great value for what you get. 10/10 For the reviewer who said this was discontinued, I think they repackaged it, now it comes in a 30ml bottle with a different logo.

I love this perfume so much, I find it a good combination of almond citrus and vanilla and the lasting power and sillage are just great. If you are looking for a fresher variant of L de Lolita Lempicka, this is the ONE. Perfect for autumn and winter.Price is great too.Very reccomended.

Tried this in a small town pharmacy near Nice, France and fell in love. It’s an amazing scent for the price. The perfect gourmand for summer. If you can get your hands on any of this brand’s scents, you won’t regret it!

At the beginning it reminds me the almond smell of the "colle cléopatre" a famous french paper glue for children. Then the smell becomes softer, powdery like a clean soap. Very pleasant !

Nice scent, IMO gourmand. Could be my favourite...unfortunately doesn't last long:(. A bitter-sweet almond-scent, perhaps could be unisex, too.

I have no idea why anyone would want to discontinue this! At first blast this almond is the powdery babywipes type (I guess that's thanks to the iris note?), but within a minute a deeper, more edible bitter almond joins in. These two types of almond wrap around each other and form the core of this perfume. I feel that the powdery 'babywipe' almond is more powerful at first, but as the fragrance unfolds the edible almond becomes more intense. I do get very prominent citrus notes, which make for a slightly sharp note in the fragrance. Personally I enjoy the contrast between the soft, comfortable almond and the slight sharp freshness of the citrus. The citrus also seems to pull out the bitter almond notes when it calms down a bit, reminding me somewhat of the Dutch almond cookies called 'bitterkoekjes'. I really love this perfume. It seems to switch between baby-smell and gourmand and gives a different impression every time I sniff my wrists. The only real complaint I have is that longevity could be better. All-in-all, this might be my perfect sleeping perfume!

I was looking for something that measures up to Mazzolari Alessandro....this wasn't quite it. It could have been a nice cleaner version that is not quite as powdery. But my biggest disappointment was the fact that this does not have much sillage or lasting power at all. Had it been heftier I would have been very pleased with it. So, I might use as a bedtime body spray?

Very wearable light scent with florals and a dust of almonds. Blended well as the almonds do not stand out too much (pity because I love almonds). But on my skin it was so light, it did not even make sense to buy a 30 ml for 15 euros (which is cheap imo). But I thought it would not be an interesting add to my collection so I just left it. Still do not regret it.

this starts with a bitter almond, woods and citruses. it stays fairly linear except the citruses calm down after a bit. not a super sweet almond scent, so it works in warmer weather. it's close to the skin and comforting. i think it may be a good bedtime perfume.

Sweet almond scent. After an hour or so the bergamot peaks through the clean almond note. I very much love this. It's a shame the sillage and longevity are so intimate. It would be a great bedtime scent.

I could not identify the bergamot and mandarin note individually, just a generic floral, scent mixed with citrus. I do get a lot of baby powder smell immediately which smells heavenly, it blends well with the other notes. I'm afraid I only smelled it for less than an hour on my skin. Its only 915am and I can only smell it on my clothes.
