Tubereuse Hédonie

If Diptyque's Do Son is a sophisticated, sensual "cool girl" then Roger and Gallet's Tubereuse Hedonie is her quiet, twinkling younger sister. EDIT: I originally stated that Tubereuse Hedonie lacks the sparkle and magic of some of my favorite Tuberose fragrances. However, as I come to the end of my bottle I have completely changed my tune. This is beautiful. Green, effervescent and slightly bitter. Almost like a fresh aromatic tuberose opposed to some the creamier gourmand like scents of the same flower. I still stand by my statement that this is a sheer tuberose and jasmine scent that I would put in the "your skin but better" category. However, I have to change my mind and say that the pink pepper is ABSOLUTELY present, and dusts the entire bouquet with a beautiful linear spice quality. Soo good. As before, it’s lovely... A tuberose for non tuberose lovers. And for those of us who have a particular affinity for this indolic white floral, Tuberose Hedonie is the perfect easy reach, for when the mood is all about the simple quiet things. I’ve gotten many compliments on it and I would say wholeheartedly it’s entirely and uniquely gender neutral. And a great buy for the price!

Tuberose Hedonie is not as "hedonie" as it states, BUT, it's a truly wonderful, youthful white floral; perfect for the ones who want to start messing with white florals but don't want to go straight to Ysatis or Alien. Honest floral, doesn't smell synthetic to me at all. Stays close to the skin and last little less than 5 hours. The scent is a true refreshing option to escape from the gourmandise hell we're in. Very summery scent; if you're bored from Light Blue, have a sniff of Tubereuse Hedonie. It's a good take on tuberose. It's not the Poison tuberose (latest formulation), but it doesn't have to be jealous. Tubereuse Hedonie is closer to Twilly Hermes. It has a spicy, green, vegety opening. There is a nice blast of neroli and petitgrain before a green-luminous tuberose settles, not powdery, don't worry, along with a softly tropical jasmine. Gorgeous!

This is my second summer wearing this delightful little thing. It has become my go to summer 'fume as I reach for it without hesitation or deliberation. Well, when it's hot and sticky, wearing the wrong thing is just another thing to suffer trough that you don't need. Sometimes, I crave it. Like I crave Carnal Flower and that's saying a lot. Actually, it helped with my Carnal obsession. It's perfectly wearable all year, but it really shines in summer. It behaves like a cologne, all bright and refreshing, but has a longevity of edp. At least on me it has. Rather humble price permits me to spray it with abandon and as often as I please. So far no one complained so I see no reason why would I stop. Even better, it's one of the most complimented perfumes I have. The body care is also a delight not to be missed. Great stuff.

I'm wearing La Chasse aux Papillons on one wrist and Tubereuse Hedonie on the other. They are identical. Both beautiful, light, happy and fresh tuberose-jasmine-neroli florals, and smelling exactly the same. If I really press on to "find the difference", Tubereuse Hedonie seems to last longer (though it may just be that I sprayed a little more of it) and possibly with a slightly sharper tone when developing. I am happy to have them both, just because I went for the 15 ml version of the Hedonie, so I can use it as a travel version of La Chasse :)

Simple but very effective way of showcasing a tuberose. Every ingredient is there to enhance natural facets of this flower. That hint of celery is a stroke of genius. There is so much respect of the ingredients here. A lot of houses could learn a thing or two from Roger & Gallet. It's humble. As much as tuberose is capable of being humble, that is. I can't help being impressed by the quality, performance, simplicity and overall charm of it. Without exaggeration, one of the best tuberoses I ever tried.

I live in a very humid climate, so it’s forever spring and summer and this scent is so pleasant, so fresh bouquet! It’s a perfect spray for after bathing (which I use the matching shower gel) and delightful whiffs as you toss around in the bed ... ya know since there’s not many places to go. I will say this scent lasts much longer on clothing than it does on the skin. A definite everyday simple, non-fussy, non-headache inducing cologne.

I like this tuberose, it’s kind and inoffensive but addictive. However , to turn into love, IMHO this brand needs to give substance to the perfumes and probably issue EDPs. Maybe it’s not the brand’s objective and they prefer to stay colones for easy summer wear. So like from me.

Agree with previous reviewer - best summer tuberose. No drama story here - simple easy sexy summer dress tuberose. Surprising stay power. My summer alternative to endless serious tuberose scents I have already. Very strong like almost live from me.

I love Roger & Gallet scents and this is my favourite of them all. A recommendation for anyone who is into florals but doesn't want anything overpowering or too strong. As long as it's available I will keep rebuying it for spring.

This is one of the best fresh Tuberose colognes made in the last years. It ́s really jolie, elegant, airy but with presence, graceful...perfect for spring-summer. I will enjoy this gem for sure in the upcoming spring. BEAUTIFUL!!!

This is a very fresh, clean tuberose. If I really try, I might be able to pick up on the other white florals, particularly jasmine, but this to me is a tuberose-dominant fragrance. Starts off more green and then evolves into a creamier almost buttery tuberose, my favorite kind. On clothing, the greenness persists longer before getting to the drydown. I'm not usually a fan of super green fragrances, but I like it here, it is not overwhelming and does not last long. In fact, on a hot day, it's rather refreshing. This is a great fragrance for spring and summer, since it is on the lighter side. Projection is decent, longevity is on the shorter side of moderate, but I don't mind respraying, especially since I found it at such a reasonable price. I can smell similarities with La Chasse aux Papillons, which I loved and used to wear but that one was more jasmine-forward on my skin and always reminded me of jasmine tea. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this to all white-floral lovers, even if they are not tuberose fans, because this is not your grandma's tuberose.

This is too florals for my usual. I got samples and totally fell in love with it. The reason I don’t usually go for florals is because they never smell like the real thing. This however smells magnificent. I literally mmmmm-ed loudly at first sniff. It dies down to lovely woody base that is calming after the excitement of the opening. The initial notes are jasmine, and Arabic jasmine (“Fol”). I get the neroli and sweet tangerines (“Yosef afendi”) it smells like Lebanese and Syrian flower fields before shifting into a warm cup of “white coffee” and lemon. It’s sweet-ish. I get some creaminess and some vanilla before turning into this soft comforting “grandma” scent without the old lady association. Then it hit me! It’s Egyptian. Coptic Egypt more specifically. Frankincense sandalwood and Elemi. The sad part is it faded ever so fast leaving you wanting, longing, and remembering.

This is a chameleon. I smell it, then I don't. I smell suntan lotion, then coconut, and then something that just whiffs off, and then the flower? Oh this must be the tuberosa! On my skin it stays only a short time but on my cardigan I could still smell it in the afternoon even though have sprayed it at 6.00 am. I wouldn't want to smell the coconut or the suntan lotion, they don't smell bad, but.. They smell like a cheap drugstore fragrance. People who like to lay in the sun probably would wear this on the beach? I just wait for the tuberosa to come out, it smells sweet and cute but not sugary, really, just quite realistic. Not too heady (only tuberosa I can compare with is Jean Paul Gaultier Fragile which I'd like to like but it gives me a migraine) I'll be bonding with this over time!

It's refreshing for summer. I can definitely smell the celery but it blends in well with the white florals for a fresh, slightly salty effect. Thankfully I don't smell elemi if anyone is too worried about that particular note. You can't overspray it at all because it's a cologne. It scents the skin in a lovely "your skin but better" manner. Would I recommend it? Only for floral/tuberose lovers who want something very light for summer. It retreats to skin immediately. I know my 30ml bottle will be gone before the end of summer. Reminds me of La Chasse aux Papillons and Extreme versions. Also reminds me of Saks 5th Ave by Bond no9 but without the coconut. The bottle is cute and simple. Very affordably priced. -

I finally got a chance to try it. It is a lovely fragrance! An oily, slightly indolic and slightly spicy tuberose. Perfect for spring and summer, may loose it‘s charm on cold days. It smells very sensual and carefree, with a timeless feel. To me, it smells like french „Savoir-vivre „. Sillage is soft but i can smell it without having to sniff my hand. I think it is great value for the price. Every minute that passes, i like it more. Final note: 9/10

Surprisingly longlasting and makes quite an impact from top and drydown. But you have to love tuberose because that's the star of this fragrance. I don't get much else other than tuberose and bergamot, lateron a bit of neroli. This whole new collection is amazing, the 'thé fantaisie' one is my favourite, though. Morillas, always always Morillas for me..

Starts with a green note which quickly calms into a simple tuberose, then into a sparkling tuberose. Reminds me of Refreshers, or Love Heart candies, but not too sweet and with tuberose! Similar to Miller Harris Tuberosa. It lacks the smooth sensuality or Carnal Flower, but it's a bright, effervescent, happy little perfume, well worth the £10 I paid!

J'ai acheté impulsivement cette Cologne, car R & G ne sera plus distribué au Canada. J'aime déjà beaucoup Rose et Gingembre rouge que je porte régulièrement en saison estivale. La fragrance me plait, elle est très agréable et douce et j'aime la tubéreuse, cependant aucune tenue sur ma peau. Quel dommage!

Tubéreuse Hédonie is classy and uncomplicated. Perfect for a sunny day in your favourite cotton dress, or even for a hippyish bride on her wedding day. I imagine skipping through a field of wild flowers, not a care in the world, running my fingers through the grass and touching the flowers.

Nice refreshing perfume. You can smell a lot of white flowers. Very strong when you spay in the begging.. After half an hour you hardly can smell it.. but i got a compliment after hours that i was wearing it.. best for spring and summer. i think its discontinued..
