Enigma Aoud

Just received the 100ml parfum extrait. When I first sprayed Enigma Aoud, I got a giant burst of rose and was a bit disappointed because I already have great rose scents. I was hoping for something more aldehydic, powdery and reminiscent of the original Enigma. Being that this is a love child of Amber Aoud and Enigma, I guess I didn't know what to expect as it was a blind buy. Also, within 30 minutes of spritzing it on, I could not smell it anymore. Thus, I decided I would sell it. BUT, before I posted it for sale, I chose to give it another shot AND watched a video of Roja Dove explaining how to apply his fragrances. So, off I went to spray it on again. This time, however, I sprayed it three times each in the clavicle area and, boom...now I can still smell it hours later (his scents are not meant to be spritzed randomly, rather, sprayed heavily in just a few areas). Now, I am in love. I still get a bit of rose, but now the original Enigma is shining through a bit more and is a bit powdery, which I LOVE. The Aoud is dialed way back here and is merely a supporting note deep in the base. The heliotrope, geranium and jasmine dance happily together to the tune of the ever so gentle peach note from the original Enigma. It is pure class and smells very expensive. I absolutely love it. I am very happy I bought the 100ml. That said, I also own and love 51. For now, I don't know which one I like more, but can say it may be an honest tie. I do wish they both had better performance with less effort for the price. For that reason alone, I am not 100% I will continue to repurchase them. But, for now, I am glad I have them both. I need to wear Enigma Aoud out and about a few times before I will determine my favorite, but she is a stunner, nonetheless.

Enigma Aoud intrigues me, if not for the fact that there seems to be no trace of oud to be found, but for the insatiably mouth-watering peach accord. The name may be misleading which can undoubtedly cause a lot of disappointment, but I have really grown to love this scent for what it is. This is a peach fragrance at its core. The peach accord, likely created through the use of the C14 Aldehyde, smells bright and colourful, intensely fruity and juicy with just the right amount of dry fuzziness to combat heading into gourmand territory. The combination of sparkling florals and powdered musks rests gently on a sweet vanillic base which is simply divine. I wasn’t sold on this fragrance when I first tried it, but it’s grown on me massively. It’s very feminine and overly similar to the original Enigma, but smells phenomenal nonetheless. If you’re looking for oud then you won’t find it here, but if you want a great peach fragrance this could be the one to end all others.

I like this a lot better than the original Enigma. It smells just like Enigma to me, with lots of sweet, juicy peach/fruit and a bit floral. But this has a darker, richer quality from the oud that just plays so nicely with a little bit of vanilla in the base. I like that additional complexity. A feminine, sensual, playful fragrance. Also reminds me very much of Fortnum & Mason parfum. While Enigma Aoud has a conspicuous peach note, it's still much less fruity/peachy than F&M. I detect some jasmine in the heart of Enigma Aoud, but the only flower I notice in F&M is rose. I feel like nobody needs both parfums, it's just a matter of how much peach you really want in your perfume.

Bright candy-like juice of fruits, very powdery, a bouquet of bright powdery florals. I would say it leans slightly traditionally feminine, but in this day and age, a man can be attractive while donning this one. Has a sort of vintage bright powdery DNA with a great deal of modernity from the fruity sweetness I suppose. Lovely. No oud detected despite the name. Lovely for spring. Might be a tad bit strong for summer, but feasible. Longevity is unbelievable with the PARFUM version. 9/10.

Sprayed the last bit of my travel spray and wearing this as my SOTN, and goodness gracious...I need a FB of this wonderful, magical, magnificent potion in my life immediately. I have the elixir which is a peach lovers dream, but Enigma Aoud has backbone. It's giving wealthy, refined woman of the world" vibes. It's a Roja so I won't bore you with how the notes are masterfully blended. You already know....

I have finally received this fragrance from Burlington Arcade and this one is so stunning. The bergamot pops on this one and the succulent peach is to die for, I get a great wiff of vanilla with the Oud being in the background. This one is unisex and is a mainstay in any serious Roja fragrances collection.. By the way, you can’t buy this in any store, it’s an exclusive to the Burlington Arcade store.

I love Enigma Aoud. Somehow, I don’t even remember, I sprayed Dior Addict on top of it, and I just got the most amazing scent!! DA intensifies the oud in EA, but it transforms it into a sweet, intoxicating oud, I just can’t stop layering them!

The freshness of bergamot, peach is not as strong here as enigma, the softness of rose de mi and oud! soft rich and beautiful fragrance, I loved it so much.

I'm getting this by June 29th, I'll let everyone how it is. It's exclusive to Burlington Arcade in London, England. You can't buy this anywhere else.

After working my way through the Aoud lineup, I’d started to assume it was basically a parade of rose-forward scents. Add that I already own Enigma Pour Homme Parfum, and I half expected this to be some kind of “oudified” version of that. So, this caught me a bit off guard. It’s not a rose bomb, and it’s definitely not that boozy, cola-tinged profile the name might have you anticipate. This one plays in a different space altogether. It feels soft, but very present. Powdery, but without tipping into anything overly sweet or traditionally “feminine.” It’s clean, composed, and sophisticated. There is rose, sure, but it’s tucked neatly into a smooth vanilla and patchouli base that just hums along for hours. Now, there’s zero skank here. None. You could argue a touch of funk might’ve added intrigue, but it would also completely change the whole composition and then who knows if it would still remain so polished and totally luxurious. I really like this. Slightly inconvenient timing, given everything else going on in the world, I did not need another Roja on the wishlist. But here we are.

Goodness Gracious, what is in this magnificent potion??? Successful blind buy i wish I had made years ago!!! Oh this is so beautiful, rich and soulful! A fragrance for all goddesses out there🤍✨🤍✨ This is very feminine and fruity, floral, a little dark (but nothing scary), this has depth (the Oud, I presume?) but not to the point of punching you in the face. This is the fragrance a queen would wear and I absolutely love it!! Personally, I would wear it more towards the Fall/Winter/Early Spring months but this can also be a Summer date night fragrance since it is as sexy as they come!!! Great longevity and projection, I am in heaven!! ✨🍑🤍☁️🤍🍑✨

This is for the Eua de Parfum(golden cap). Starts off very "alcoholy", and not in the boozy good way. But thankfully that disappears after awhile and gives way to mainly a beautiful sparkling rose, peach, vanilla and woody combo. Bought it with a great discount, so I'm happy with my purchase.

I blind bought this and very quickly declutterred. I have the original Enigma EDP and it is one of my favorite Roja's. The addition of oud here gives off a plasticky smell that I do not like. For a rose oud in Roja Dove’s portfolio I would go with Ahlam. 6/10

This is such a beautiful scent✨ Fruity, floral, woods and musks put together in a classy, warm and cozy/inviting fragrance. A wonderful creation by Roja only Roja can conjure up ✨✨✨

Enigma Aoud by Roja Dove Sharp spices with dry agar wood notes. It’s a classic oriental composition softened by rose water scent and a bit of fruity notes. I can also feel tenderness from musk and vanilla, but oud is still very dominant here. I prefer Pour Homme version. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

This smells like rose was added to Palmers cocoa butter. I am going to layer this over the cocoa butter and smell delicious. I’m not disappointed but I find this very amusing. I paid hundreds of dollars to smell like a $8 jar of cocoa butter.

Enigma Aoud The first time I smelt this scent was when my Aoud discovery set came, it probably stood out the least (excluding some of the awful Middle East ones), it was just basic and feminine to me, but now that I have given it some time, I love it so much. Opening section: Enigma aoud opens up with an extremely juicy peach, I can imagine the peach being perfectly ripe, it’s kind of a watery peach, it’s refreshing. There’s a lovely powderyness, just elevating that peach to a whole new level. the bergamot is relatively unique, it’s not that boring bergamot that we are so used to in todays perfume industry. there is a touch of rose in there, a watery, refreshing rose, not jammy, just a nice pink rose that is lovely to sniff every now and again. There’s a slight backbone of a white floral combination, not really super smellable, just lingering in the background, slightly bitter. This scent is the perfect scent for a women, I actually don’t think I can imagine a scent that would fit a women better, nonetheless I would still wear this as a man, just because of how wonderful it is. I can imagine a beautiful women, sitting there in a magnificent garden, a bowl of juicy peach’s sat on the bench next to her. Roses surrounding and filling the air, and then an odd white flower poking out from time to time. This scent is actually pretty nostalgic to me, it smells like a familiar smell that I am very accustomed to. Heart section: Once the scent partially settles, the white florals really come through and shine in unison with peach, neroli and jasmine, not too bitter, nor sickly like some neroli fragrances, just the perfect amount of slightly bitter, elegant white florals. The rose doesn’t really get affected from the opening to heart, it’s still the same level of prominence, lovely and fresh. Peach is still the main player, it gets a bit more fruity, rather than watery. The background players are ylang-ylang, geranium, and heliotrope, the ylang-ylang, does slightly come through, it’s a very yellow smell, slightly custardy, but not at all sweet. This is like the previous girl in the garden walked further through the garden, closer to those distant white florals, slowly moving away from the peach. This smell is elegant, it’s soft, still powdering like in the opening, it’s a perfect blend of the notes given in my opinion. Drydown section: once the scent has fully reached the drydown stage, vanilla really shines through, it actually smells similar to sand and skin - floraiku. This vanilla is cushioned by a slight musk, not strong. Orris and ambergris is practically non existent. Oud is hardly there, in fact I don’t even know why this is called an “aoud” it’s literally nothing like an oud fragrance. This Drydown is such a disappointment, nothing special at all, in fact, I could see this Drydown being a PDM or designer fragrance, not innovative or special. I have seen this pattern a lot with these so called “aoud” fragrances, it’s nothing but a marketing term, roja literally just puts the slightest drop of oud in, so much that you can’t even smell it, then advertises it as “aoud”. Overall it’s a great scent, in fact one of the favourites of ever of mine, such a beautiful opening and heart, but the Drydown truly disappointed me. Similar to what happened with sweetie aoud.

Strange. Could have been called another name altogether, as this fragrance does not smell one bit like the original enigma. On the contrary, this one is bright pink delicate rose soft and velvety very smooth, smells classy yes, a bit feminine leaning. I would say it's more dialled down version of MFK's Oud Extrait with some added punch from Montale's Red Aoud, but feels much more soft and fragile. Opposite to the boozy cola sweet opulence the original Enigma offered, this isn't what one might expect after hearig the name. The scent definitely reminds me of those two fragrances mentioned above draws stark similarities. However, it didn't impress as much as the other Rojas, it lacks that oomph factor to me, personally, there are other scents to look at for the same vibe, that are much comfortably priced. Overall 6.5/10

I like Enigma and find several of Rojas Ouds interesting,but this lovechild of the two is pure perfection.The fresh start with citruses,followed by flowers,a juicy peach ending with woods and musk is divine. Smelling this brought me back to ages ago when as a young girl I loved to smell my mothers favorite perfumes-Molyneux Fete and Rochas Madame and Femme all in similar bottles with different lace pattern.The scent is not similar to any of these,but that feeling when you open a bottle and just can't stop sniffing it because it is just so perfect. Unfortunately it is out of my price range but one can always dream. It was probably exclusive to the Burlington boutique when it was launched but now it is available in other shops too. I tried the Perfume but there is also an EdP on Rojas site.

This is resplendent. Ethereal, intricate, deceptive. It may be deficient in oud of any real density, but that does not preclude it being strikingly bloody good at what it is - a peach and sandalwood scent. I think the crux of the issue, for me, is gendered usage - is this suitable for a man? Ambiguous. For me, absolutely! I adore florals and generally softer scents than most males, but all scents need some bite, some darkness to them, and, on me, this is sufficiently ‘dark’ as to placate concerns. Would I layer it? I might, actually! I can envisage this working well with something like RDHP20 as the base, or Turandot, or any of the other Roja Aouds from the plethora existent.

There’s no discernible oud or even oud accord in this at any point, at least on my skin. It is ultra similar to the original Enigma pour femme, a very soft scent. I find the peach-geranium&rose opening on my skin a bit sharp actually and it doesn’t develop into anything particularly interesting thereafter, becomes more powdery but no oud peeking through at any point. Not as well blended as other Rojas in my view, and the name itself is a misnomer so this one isn’t for me. It is a pretty fragrance, much like Enigma, but that’s not my jam - I decluttered it soon after receiving.

I have a manufacturer's 'parfum' sample, ordered from the site. It is clear like water, looks nothing like the ad copy for the parfum. And if this is the parfum, I'd hate to try the EDP. I remember the original Enigma (parfum) as being much more tenacious as well, and it didn't even have the heft of the aoud? Anyway, this is a charged-up modern version of Tresor, with none of Tresor's notorious staying power.

Sweet geranium, and jasmines. I don't sense any oud in here at all! just heliotrope, vanilla candy peach, some musk, ambergris, ylang ylang, and sour woods. This is so candy like, some bubblegumy type of blend with candied fruits. It doesn't worth it's price tag as i don't sense that much quality as his other blends! £245.00 for 50ml! no thank you.

Beautiful, powdery, soft peach, fresh, clean, almost like peony the whole combo. I do like it but it reminds me so much of Alfred Sung Pure (nicer blend without chemicals though) which is a fresh floral linen kind of peony scent. I passed that perfume on so I'm not in love with this one but I can appreciate it's quality.

Unisex clean floral skin thats seems boozy at times. Smells like stealth wealth and enjoying Puligny Montrachet whilst critiquing arias with fellow yacht club members. Classy, it reminds me of my mom after she layers several fragrances.

I love the original parfum which is one of my favourite fragrances. To me, I get a slight similarity, but it’s a lot lighter and has loads of peach at the start combined with plenty of rose. It’s nice, but not a FB for me.

This is very Roja-style scent, well blended, elegant, somewhat powdery. It wars like a fine mist on my skin. However, my problem is that it is so light and faint. Perhaps it is my skin as I have pretty cold skin type.

Oud in the deep dry down is extremely similar to the sweet oud of Rhaghba. Took me ages to identify it. No similarities with it at the top, but the dry down is pure sweet oud.

Champagne oud for the heavy of wallet. Not a bad offering on its own but at the price tag it commands I’d give it a miss. Longevity is poor at best. Sillage is monumental.
