“The worlds of fragrance and opera were brought together for three nights in March 2019 when The Royal Opera House Muscat, Oman, asked Roja Dove to capture the essence of their new world premiere production of Lakmé.” This is maybe my most delicate, subtle and ethereal scent which I own. It’s fragile and innocent. It’s sensitive and elegant. So amazingly beautiful! 😌 Lakmé is a bouquet of fresh, soft and warm roses. 🌹 It shines in all kind of weather but I love it most when it’s warm enough. Lakmé is the pure quiet luxury. 💎 It opens up with sparkling aldehydes and indulgent Rose de Mai and Taif Rose shines from the beginning until the end. The concoction remains quite simple yet enchanting and fresh. Woody and powdery base of Sandalwood and Orris with Musk creates a soft bed for the roses. Is it redundant if you have Turandot? Received this when I was supposed to receive Turandot. I’m sure glad I did. This has got to be one of the most beautiful fragrances in the world. It really reminds me of visiting the famous rose garden and music box museum in Japan. I want my future wife to smell like this😍 This is predominantly a rose scent, and is along the lines of others from his Gulf Collection. If you’ve smelled Aoud or Sultanate of Oman this shares some characteristics, so it’s most definitely a unisex scent. Subtle, soft and airy sweetness of fruit and flowers but not too sweet because of other ingredients balancing them out. The frankincense and aoud do something so beautiful in these fragrances. This makes me think of the fullness of love. Lakme just makes me look up and say “O my God!” Fitting, because it is God who has given the gifts of scent, materials, and people that can bring them together in the most beautiful of ways!

An awesome rose amber fragrance. Fresh rose up top and moves towards that buttery sandalwood amber rose in the dry down. This one is really well done and i went crazy when i first came to know about it. Got my hand on it immediately to see what the scent profile is like. Liked it a lot and this is one of the best rose i smelled. BUT, for the price point I do not want to go for this. Don't get me wrong it is extremely beautiful but in my opinion it does not justify the price point. I would rather go with the Oud silk mood from MFK, there lies no comparison between these two but i think MFK justifies the price point and has some beautiful rose fragrances in its collection including even fresh roses. Anyhow if you can afford it without causing a dent in your bank balance go for it. It really is beautiful.

This fragrance is stunning. My only complaint is that it is almost to "loud" or strong. It will absolutely fill a room and it doesn't take over spraying to accomplish it. I am a man and I wear this fragrance frequently. It could be described as "feminine leaning" due to the florals however this is one of my most complimented fragrances that I own. In typical Roja fashion it opens with a beautiful touch of citrus but that disappears quickly. It has this beautiful dewy rose with a white floral vibe that doesn't let the rose completely take over. The base is complex and woody. I love this more and more each time I wear it. Stunning!

My experience with Lakmé was polarising. At first I fell in love with how minimalist it was. I’m always looking for a beastmode but transparent veil of subtle perfume perfection. So I sprayed it onto my neck 8 times. The official atomiser is very fine and gives a delicate puff of light and dry mist. But then the magic ended, as I (nor others) couldn’t smell it until they were about 2cm away from my skin. A 2cm sillage is a dealbreaker however wonderful it originally was. I couldn’t even detect it on my clothes or scarf the next day. So no scent description from me this time as I nor my close associates can smell anything.

I'm shocked at how much I actually enjoy this considering I'm not a huge fan of rose based frags. The heady florals/ rose dissipates to a very luxurious buttery & spicy wooden ambergris masterpiece. So much going on here & anything but linear. Projection and sillage is above average & I'm so glad I rolled the dice on this one. Not going to be for everyone so please, sample first!

This perfume is so beautiful and I don't usually like rose in fragrances. The rose here is dewy and not overpowering with some tartness. I also get some aldehydes and citruses in the opening and it settles into a lush bouquet of dewy, silky, florals. Last forever on clothes 10/10 stunning

Oh lord, I did it! I purchased it. It is not like I need another perfume or anything else. I had to have this fragrance. I cannot wait to wear this baby when I receive it,

The rose in Lakmé is that nice rose which I feel is in Nuwa also. I must admit this is very nice, although Turandot being the bottle worthy one, I would like to own this aswell. It is primarily a rose scent, around the rose a juxtaposition of cumin and aldehydes takes place. Becomes more spicy as times goes on but keeps this velvety rose center throughout its lifespan.

Lakmé was created for The Royal Opera House Muscat in Oman in exclusive limited edition by Harrods. For this opulent creation, Rose and Iris, inspired by the famous 'Flower Duet', weave a delicate harmony. The bright and radiant character of the Lily of the Valley joins the performance. A fragrant opera! Lakmé opens with a brief sparkling citrus freshness and a shimmering nuance. It quickly moves on to the fruity floral center dominated by the stars of the composition: a beautiful earthy buttery iris intertwined with deliciously differentiated dewy fresh roses [What a Quality😲]! Leading this main duet are the main supporting actors: a white lily with a very striking peach, tender and velvety. Towards the apotheosis, it begins to acquire a light balsamic facet, incensed, woody at the base and powdery on drying: provided by a touch of incense and a hint of 'oud mixed with the creaminess of sandalwood, resins and noble woods, bringing more depth to the fragrance. Added to vanilla and benzoin, they make the ambery accord embraced by musk and ambergris that with the waxy iris make a slight musky/powdery suggestion. Delicate Complex Delicious Perfume; Rich and Smooth Sweet, Fruity and Warm; A fresh amber woody floriental for those who mainly appreciate roses and irises against the backdrop of amber, balsamic, incense, woody, musky facets. Very versatile fragrance for cold/heat, day/night; very good performance. Shareable perfume leaning in my view 60/40 for the feminine but men can wear it quietly. A beautiful work of art by Roja Dove. Exceptional Quality!

This is exactly what it claims to be: a duet of buttery orris and dewy rose. These two main stars, or shall I say, divas, weave in and out of each other moment after moment, supporting and elevating each other, pushing and pulling, dancing and pulsing, with grace and class, and never aggressively. They are surrounded by a crowd of supporting cast: among which the peach (which feels super nectarine) and lily of the valley are most clearly detectable and lends a complex but elegant sweetness to the scene. The end result feels so velvety, you can almost imagine - if this scent were a physical material - what it would look and feel like: a deep red velvet curtain, so luxurious, so soft, so fitting with the theme of the royal opera house. As a man myself I really enjoy this in my privacy, but I'm not sure if any man can wear this to meet someone else, or if this scent can even be described as unisex, because it is clearly more built around the florals and the fruits. The base is very woody but it's the blooming, bright, luxurious bouquet of flowers that is the highlight of this fragrance. The wonderful thing with all Rojas, including Lakme, is that you can enjoy it almost anytime due to the high quality of the blend and very pleasant silage. It's very hot and humid where I am, and I can spray this on with comfort and confidence that no one will be offended.

Wow!! This is a mind-blowing conflation by the master perfumer @rojadove . It has become my most favourite and sought-for Roja. This one is an enchanting powdery-rose freshened up by lily-of-the valley. Featuring all my of desired notes in rose, orris and lily-of-the valley, it manages to capture my heart and make heads turn! Created for the Royal Opera House in Muscat for the premiere of the play Lakme, a play about an Indian village girl Lakshmi. The flower duet(rose and orris) and bell song(lily-of-the valley) are the ones which are the highlights of the play and quite fittingly, of the perfume as well. Another exclusive scent released by the exclusive house of Roja! P.S I have seen many reviewers referring this as a female-leaning perfume but I love to smell it on my mother/wife while rocking it myself as well.

On my skin, Lakmé just smells like roses mixed with talcum powder - I couldn’t really pick up the other notes at all. I’m honestly so disappointed because I expected more depth. I find Lost in Paris by Roja way better; this one is just so meh for me. Do you guys feel the same? Open for better rose fragrance share your recommendations :)
