I recently got a sample from scentsplit to try it out, as the reviews indicated this might be in my wheelhouse. I've given it 3 full wears so far and this is definitely at the top of my list for a potential bottle purchase. The opening is dominated a beautiful combination of citruses that smell incredibly clean and refreshing. Just like Burlington 1819, the citruses smell the most authentic of any other house I've tried so far. After about 10 minutes of drying down, the fragrance really opens up into a beautiful combination of florals mixing with still-present citruses. Everything is well-blended, so it's hard to tell each note apart, but I get a slightly powdery iris and jasmine, and a slighty salty accord. After about 30 minutes - 1 hour, the oak moss, cedar, and musk are clearly present as well, but the citruses haven't gone away, and will stay present for at least 4-6 hours. I don't really understand the hate this fragrance gets on here. I understand the price is high, at least $100 more than if another house ran this, but hey it's Roja. The performance is fantastic for a fresh fragrance, 8-10 hours with a small sample usage (i.e. not a full atomizer spray) with moderate projection/silage. I agree with other reviewers that there are lots of other great fresh fragrances on the market for less, but none that I've tried so far balance all of the things I love in a fresh fragrance as well as Oceania. I love the authentic citruses, the light white florals, and oak moss/cedarwood combination. If you're looking for cheaper alternatives and prefer the oak moss/cedarwood base, I recommend Nishane B-612. If you want something slightly warmer and are missing lavender from this fragrance, try Zaharoff Signature Pour Homme. If you want something that focuses more on florals and musk, go for Reflection Man. And if you want something that slams down the fresh citrus/orange well, try PDM Sedley. I've been looking for a scent to wear to court, and this is a frontrunner atm. It gives a sense of clean sophistication, has good performance, and doesn't have the massive projection or silage that might offend others in a professional atmosphere. Overall 9/10, would be 10/10 if it was more reasonably priced.

This fragrance is beautiful. I’ve just recently smelled more of Roja’s creations, and I have to tell you, I have not smelled such layered and complex fragrances in any other house. You can smell multiple naturals hitting and the fragrances evolving with elegance. In this case I see this fragrance going into the mass appealing genre of “white fragrances”; some of the most popular fragrances I’d put in this genre are CK One, Silver mountain Water, Mefisto Gentiluomo and even LV Meteore: citrus opening, flowery aromatics in the middle and creamy musks in the base. Oceania may be the epitome of this genre, with the most amount of naturals. Clean, natural, jasmine, violet, citruses and aromatics over sweet musks blended to perfection. I’m stunned of the excellent performance considering the amount of naturals here. Every phase of the fragrance is an orchestra of all the notes, with different protagonists at different moments. First, mouthwatering citruses, then white creamy sparkling flowers and finally a clean musky sweet aromatic base taking the lead. I love it, and I have to say that people saying this is a generic fragrance are not paying attention to the details and just looking at the genre of the fragrance. Final notes: My closer friends are not huge fans of this, they say it smells like nature, flowers, etc. and not being fragheads, that’s not a plus for them. No one has disliked it tho, and this is important: Rojas fragrances normally are edgy and mature, however, this fragrance was created mass appealing for a reason: CHARITY. Every bottle sold will include a percentage of the money going to charity to help our Oceans (see the design inspiration(?)), so Roja created a mass appealing fragrance without losing the quality and royalty of the brand, I find this REALLY impressive. This is not “oceanic”. Roja himself said it: there is no Calone here. As a comment mentioned early: Oceania is a region, not an ocean guys. Love it 10/10

A very nice fresh citrus fragrance. The opening (first two hours) is very uplifting, bright, and a citrus medley. Grapefruit, Bergamont, Lemon, and Mandarin orange shine in the opening. The floral notes come out more in the heart and drydown. Don't expect Oceania to be a performance beast because it's not. However, the longevity is VERY good. 12+ performance. Projection is very consistent and stays arm's length for the majority of the fragrance. Nice for moderate and intimate encounters. Oceania is a fragrance more for yourself because people won't pick it up from a distance. They will need to be in close proximity to you. A stud in warm weather radiates off the skin in the heat. Problem is, I live in Wales, notorious for terrible cold weather, even in the summer. So, I question is it even worth paying for a bottle when my climate doesn't often have warm weather, which is when this fragrance works best for? Regardless, it still works well in the Spring (not strictly summer or blazing hot days) and I love the smell. The price of £295 is the drawback. It's not chump change for the majority of us. I honestly don't blame you if you result to the 7.5 travel atomiser. If I find the 100ml bottle for a decent price, I'll scoop it up. Oceania is simply the best summer fragrance I’ve ever smelled. It opens with a beautiful cocktail of citruses including grapefruit, lemon and mandarin alongside gorgeous aromatics of lavender, rosemary and thyme. As the heart develops you’re greeted with a stunning powdery violet of the highest quality, alongside a sparkling jasmine and ylang. As this dries down on the skin it settles into a beautifully soft, airy, fluffy and powdery floral with the violet at the forefront. Also introduced is a soft musk and cedar, with oakmoss adding to the creamy powdery scent profile. There’s a slight hint of juniper in the background too, but as always with Roja’s fragrances there are endless notes, it’s impossible to pick them all out. This truly is a stunning perfume, an absolute masterpiece and amazingly one of Roja’s cheaper releases. This is my number one go to during the summer, it smells so incredibly natural and lasts all day on me. The materials used here are just such high quality and perfectly blended - this is probably also the best violet fragrance I’ve ever come across. Undoubtedly a modern masterpiece and a must have.

Finally pulled the trigger and recently recieved a bottle of this one. Was lucky and managed to get it for about $160 USD from an authorised reseller. Opens up nice and fizzy kind of like a lemonade with a sprinkling of sea salt and some florals - this still leans 70/30 masculine to me. The first 30 minutes of this scent i definetely get a mix of that PDM Sedley, Xerjoff Renaissance, Creed Erolfa vibe, if you were to mix these fragrances this is kind of what Oceania smells like. Dries down to a pleasant mossy musk with still a bit of light citrus and jasmine lingering. This smells very natural and you can tell it has high quality ingredients. It is an easy summer reach and i dont see it offending anyone. Slightly masculine and not a mature scent, i think any age group could pull this off. Going to add this to my summer rotation along with the likes of Aventus, Imagination, Afternoon Swim, Greenley, TDH Eau Givree etc. It has earnt its place in my collection and obviously the bottle is stunning. A no brainer imo if you can get it for a good price and enjoy Sedley, Renaissance and Erolfa etc. 9/10

Fresh, light and uplifting. Smells lime and lemon heavy in the citrus department (i get the Sprite comparison, but Sprite never smelled this good). In the florals, i get Lavender, Iris, Ylang-Ylang, and Jasmine. There are a good moss base there. It keeps the mix masculine and deep, despite all the light and fluffy notes above it. I have noticed i go very noseblind to it very fast. I don't ever spray on paper, but on glass spoons. I can only inhale the scent 3-4 times before it's almost undetectable. I can go back to it a few minutes later and it's all still there. People who complain about longevity are most likely experiencing nose blindness (not everyone mind you. There are skin that just eats certain perfumes. I have it myself with a handful of fragrances.) Personal score: 9/10. For a summer day, out with friends or family, this is a wonderful fragrance. Light, sweet, sharp and easy to wear. I went with Elysium Parfum Cologne over Oceania myself, half because of the price, and half because Oceania can give me a headache if applied heavily. Elysium doesn't, and is cheaper. .

Beautiful and mouthwatering composition. It instantly reminds me of Parfums de Marly Sedley because of that Mandarin Orange note in the beginning. While Sedley has more of that watery character, Oceania evolves towards a slightly more floral and musky direction (which is why it is compared to Bergamask). I see Sedley as the younger, playful fragrance compared to Oceania, but both fragrances are suitable for people aged 25+. If you own Sedley, this fragrance is not a must! I still think that this is beautifully crafted and would recommend it to everyone who is interested into bright, light and citrus fragrances. Regarding the name "Oceania", for me it is lacking an oceanic character which is more prominent in other perfumes like for example Squid, Megamare or even some of Bvlgari's Aqvas. This is certainly mass-appealing and if you have the money you will not regret this purchase. Longevity and Sillage are OK. In three words: Citrus, Floral-Fresh, Mandarin

When I first saw the name Oceania I envisioned some thing acquatic and summer ready. But what I experienced was less about the ocean itself and more the Oceania region of the world that encompasses the beauty of places like Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands. Oceania starts out with a bright blast of fresh citruses and aromatics with a hint of lavender. It opens up to a floral bouquet where the jasmine & violet are the stars of the show and are expertly blended into a beautiful fragrance like only Roja can do. The citruses subside while the dry down keeps the jasmine/violet play intact and adds to it more woods and aromatics. Don't let the amount of florals fool you, this one is completely unisex and a great office scent. More suited to spring/summer wear but can be worn indoors year round if you like. 9/10, full bottle worthy. 8+ hours longevity, medium projection.

When I first smelt this I was very curious. I really liked it, but it wasn’t anything that blew me away, however that was quick to change. Out of all the Roja tester strips I had set up while trying their brand, this one seemed to be my favorite so I decided to try some on my skin so I can experience the dry down. It first smells like salty, fizzy citrus, really nice, hard to explain and amazing how they can capture such a smell in a bottle. After a while it dries down to one of the most amazing fragrances I have ever smelled, a perfect summer/spring scent. The note breakdown is massive and it’s really hard to put your nose on any particular note, it just all comes together so well to form this amazing fragrance. Would highly recommend giving this one a go!

There's almost an effortless elegance to Oceania. It quite literally glistens. Very clean in its profile, but not in a soapy way. I'd say it's more akin to freshly washed clothing, but you also happen to be at the riviera, or even on a yacht. You also, conveniently, have a lot of money! I jest, but it's by no means cheap. In typical Roja fashion, it smells classy and the scent has been nailed in the sense that it's an unquestionably effective pick for the heat. I think it's relatively versatile. This can be worn in the office, to the beach, all the way to social outings and even more upscale events. For me, however, it works best in casual settings or when I just want to feel fresh, clean and enjoy something a bit more subtle.

I imagine this is what Sedley, Mephisto and Reflection Man tried but failed to be - a high quality and perfectly fine clean summer freshie. It's very smooth and doesn't suffer from obnoxious muskiness or old lady floweriness even though flowers and musk are certainly in there, beneath all the citruses. I find it perfectly unisex - the kind of unisex that is equally asexual for men and women alike. This will help you smell clean but your sex appeal will have to come from elsewhere. If money really were no object, I could see myself getting a full bottle of this for summer days when I just want to smell a little bit nice and inoffensive. But as it stands, it's just horrendously pricey for what it is.

A long lasting Citrus scent with a lot of subtlety...and to me that is where the magic is. I first sampled this and knowing the price I was expecting to be blown away but I wasn't, until it started to dry down and you begin getting all these delicate florals just drifting around you. So I thought ok cool but still that price! After wearing more times and finishing the sample and then thinking a few more months I just had to have it. I couldn't stop thinking about it. In the end I think it is amazing and so does my wife and the bottle is just begging to be on anyone's shelf. I think I have a bit of buyers remorse but I don't think I would change anything.

I have a sample of it, and i may be getting a bottle of this anytime soon, its a pretty amazing fragrance for a summer-hot day, would definitely suit a beach day too, it has a strong lemony opening and after a drydown u can really get that beachy smell, i could almost say i smell the ocean on the drydown, it sticks well to clothes more than 6 hours atleast but i couldn't really say the same about projection so youll probably get around 4 hours of projection but its ok since its a 10/10 scent for me, i cant really recommended it to anyone due to the price tag, but if u love the scent i really recommend getting it its a 10/10 summer fragrance

As numerous people have pointed out, Oceania and PDM Sedley go in a similar direction. I own both, so I put them to the test, side by side. Sprayed 1 spray of Oceania on my left hand and 3 sprays of Sedley on my right, because I know from experience that it is not as strong. Not only is the 1 spray of Oceania about 2x the strength of the 3 sprays of Sedley, but Sedley also goes on with a strong rubbing alcohol smell, which quickly dissipates, but is not present in Oceania. My conclusion is that if you can find 100ml of Oceania in the low $200s, it's not only a better smelling option than Sedley, but also a far better deal.

A little goes a long way in the heat. Two sprays on neck and two on clothing...that's all I need. I picked up my decant over the winter and gave it a wear with decent longevity. For the last month I've worn this at least 1-2 times a week in 80+ degree weather. It's citrusy/salty and doesn't disappoint! The price of this is absolutely criminal but we are dealing with Roja, after all. I can't see myself wearing this outside of summer which is why I'll stick with a decant. If I run out, I'll pick up another decant and save it till next year. Summer longevity I'm getting easily 8+ hours....longer on clothes. Cheers!

This is an awesome fragrance. I see a lot of people talk about its performance being mediocre, but for me it is absolutely nuclear, projects at least 3 feet and is a skin scent the next morning. I don't know if it's that it macerated or what, but I notice a lot more citrus and general complexity than the first spray 6 months ago. However, from the first spray to today the one constant is that the main note is almost identical to the taste of chowards violet mints. perhaps im biased as they were part of my childhood, but I absolutely love this fragrance. it is a little bit feminine though.

One of my top spring-summer fragrances that I own. Oceania is a lovely fresh, powdery, sweet, and bright scent that leaves behind a amazing scent trail. The combination of the purple floral notes (lavender, violet, iris), and the sound base notes (sandalwood, juniper, labdanum, galbanum) create one of the most pleasant scents I have ever smelt. Performance is good, and whilst others have said it is average, I disagree; it lasts around 8-10 hours on me, even after a shower or a swim. If you see it on offer for around a third off of the price, it's a fragrance I'd buy without hesitation.

Smells like Dove deodorant (clean comfort). Unisex. Floral, powdered musk.. rosemary, thyme. Citrus is very muted. Zero vanilla. Other than Cedar it’s Missing ALL the more masculine notes listed (benzoin, sandalwood, vetiver, moss). Regardless- I still find Oceania to be a pleasant & comforting wear. Fresh out the shower, bed time, mid-day brunch type scent. Though it’s lite- I definitely do get whiffs of the clean, citrus soapy Sedley DNA, but the deodorant smell never goes away. Oceania is a vivid memory, an eternal return, if not a tangible present, diluted in olfactory materials.

A very very toned down Y Le Parfum. I don't know how much DNA these two really have in common, since Roja's composition is so rich. But the vibe is similar, minus the heavy sugary scent of YSL. Oceania is nice, citrusy and rich. The florals are not overpowering the citrus like they do in Elysium Parfum Cologne, so that's a good thing for people who don't like strong present florals. What I don't like about it is that it's not unique. I've smelled similar stuff so many times. Nevertheless still a good fragrance that is worth sampling.

Received a bottle couple months ago. This bottle has grown on me. Love it now. That time period the bottle has developed and the citrus is less pronounced. First it was very strong. Now it has this beautiful distinctive aura that really is very nice. Can’t quite place it. But the bottle needs time to evolve and develop. First I was like really unexceptional, but now it’s very impressive. Blind bought the bottle as a tester at a discounter. Glad I did. Very male leaning and good for all occasions.

one of the freshest creations from roja himself. oceania to me is a fizzy and bright creation with lots of citrus, florals and musk! this comes off as a citrus-aromatic-floral fragrance with a slightly salty/aquatic nuance without using any calone/aquatic accord which is mindblowing. the musk in this is really nice too mixed with the orris & mossy notes. top 10 freshies in my opinion, but sadly the performance is mediocre ON ME. sample before you buy fb overall, 9.5/10 (-0.5 for poor performance)

I find it "the perfection in a bottle" for a citrucy and summer perfume 🥰 . I bought it blind and never sorry. Expensive tho but not sorry😊 I find it unisex but very pleasent on a woman,is not hursh like other unisex perfumes. As someone saied 👆above: i think some complains comes because of the price🤣 I find it a masterpiece 👌 And again as someone saied above, it brings me to Santorini in Greece🙏🥰 It was love from the first sniff 🥰 Never smelled such, unique, like 5 stars service.

@BoutiqueArmenia, it smells nothing like VIW, if you want to compare it to a Creed,it has maybe a similar vibe to MI or Erolfa. Idk what ur smelling but there s no coconut or rum or even lime (i smell more of a grapefruit if anything) but the flowers are the main characters here.Smells very unique though and it s very complex.I still dont know exactly what I think of it,I kinda love it but at the same time I find it a bit feminine and not really oceany

photo realistic oceanic smelling fragrance in a bottle, this is my favourite fragrance by roja and i would say it is unisex. This fragrance is so complex and unique, definitely test this one if you can. Only bad thing i can say is I have noticed a weak performance in recent batches in Australia at least. Otherwise well worth the price if the batch lasts to your liking. 9/10

This is so well made. Alot of these reviews are saying it’s synthetic but for me it’s extremely natural and the ingredients are blended so well. Normally when a fragrance has this many notes in it, I tend to find it too complicated and annoying to smell but this is just amazing. If you can pick this up for around 400$ then I would say it’s worth it.

THIS. IS. AMAZING. I'm not even really that keen on Oceanic scents, but this one has something about it. It's got that saltiness maybe, or just fresh/oceanicness to it that French Riviera by Mancera does, but it does it in a much more refined and simply better way. Smell: 9.9/10 Performance: 6/10 Bottle/atomiser: 7/10 Overall: 9.6/10

Got a sample of this after buying outlands never really wanted to try roja and never imagined to get into this but this is probably the most beautifull fragrance ever made,wow i never opened my eyes wide of pure joy from a fragrance the dry down is so beautifull it reminds me of when i used to be on vacation as a small child.

surprised nobody else said this so far in the reviews. this literally smells like you took lv imagination and added pdm sedley to it. You definitely get imaginations citruses and cleanliness but also you get sedleys fizzy sprite type scent in there. beautiful fragrance that is very slept on

I enjoy this fragrance's smell but dang, the longevity is piss poor and the sillage is nearly non-existent. I'm getting fed up with expensive yet poor performing fragrances! It's becoming very difficult if not impossible finding fragrances at any price point that checks all the boxes...

Love love love the citrus opening! <3 Clean and fresh lemon, mandarin oranges and grapefruit. Citrus notes melt into a beautiful bouquet of florals. Longevity is amazing, lasts more than 10hrs on me! Although it comes with a hefty price tag... It's one of my prized perfumes. <3

Such a beautiful and classy Spring/Summer fragrance. The price point is high, but understandable owing to the high quality ingredients which provide excellent longevity and silage. I receive a lot of compliments whilst wearing this so will definitely re-purchase.

The scent feels fizzy. It's a mixture of floral and citrusy note that overall created this sparkling fizzy aquatic scent. Super easy to wear for summer. Not too floral and not sticky at all. Great performance for a freshies, about 6-7 hours on me.

okay im gonna review this again I dont get how people can dislike this, people say its bad that it dries down into a powdery soap, but I love it its extremely beautiful anybody saying this is bad has no taste and you shouldn't listen to them.

Love it. Sedley immediately comes to mind. More dense and high quality. It definitely has that fizzy effervescent lemon soda effect in the opening. Floral, and a bit powdery in the drydown. Expensive. Can use Maahir Legacy to supplement.

One thing you can learn from reading a lot of these comments is, Roja Dove’s target audience isn’t on Fragrantica. He won’t lose any sleep reading them. As for the scent, classy. Initial Nivea vibes, but the dry down is pure heaven.

A great combination of citrus, lavender, oakmoss with a hint of herbs. Not aquatic at all but still a great scent, although at a high price. A winner.

I tried this one out today and oh my gosh it is the best thing I have ever smelled. Smells just like a sprite but just with fruit. Soooooooo gooooood.

its a beast for my oily skin 12+ projection but sillage is just below an arm length, well its just there , overall not the best but worth a try

I’m not sure if it’s just me, only British people will understand when I say I smell lemon and Parma Violets on my skin, I love it.

Great lemon fragrance with a powdery dry down. Original in scent doesnt remind me of any other, bad thing is its duration.
