Fragrance -Oligarch Roja Dove Bottle from - 2017 This fragrance reminds me of an accomplished yet spiritual gentleman. Oligarch opens on my skin with a fresh,green,a bit fruity and elegant citruses with dominant lemon and with an astonishing touch of clean lavender and a bit herbal thyme. As time goes by,during mid development,bouquet of white flowers,with dominant jasmine and orange blossom, starts to emerge and bring some romance into the game.At this point, in the middle,it is all about white flowers and fruity notes with dominant apple and black currant and with a wisper of some kind of green magic. This all leads into a woody,leathery,musky,ambery and a bit spicy,powdery and herbal base. Oligarch is very complex,classy and sophisticated scent, there is no question about it. Longevity - 10/10(10+ hours) Silage/Projection - 8/10(heavy to moderate projection and silage for the first 2-3 hours,than sits closer to skin for the duration of the scent's evolution) Weather -best in spring,summer and early autumn Age - 25+ Compliments - 9/10 Scent - 10/10 Main notes according to me - lemon,juniper berry,jasmine, orange blossom,lavender,apple,black currant,cedar,spices. The drydown is woody,leathery,musky,ambery and a bit spicy, powdery and herbal and I get some -cedar,leather,musk,amber and spices. Emotions -accomplished yet spiritual gentleman,classy, sophisticated,profound,distinguished,elegant. Occasion -For more or less any ocasion,perfect for special occasions,life defining moments and semi-formal events. You'll get compliments with this one.

Guys, this is a gem. Quite frankly a hidden gem as it was released in 2016. Today was my first time wearing it and I am absolutely in love. To compare this to TDH is like comparing a white Honda Accord to a white Rolls Royce....They are similar because they are both white, LOL. I used to own TDH and to be honest, this ain't even close. For one, I don't see the resemblance at all. TDH is dry, mature and carries a lovely orange note. This one doesn't match any of those characteristics. Oligarch is bright, luscious, extremely universal and happy. Having that said, this is by no means a clubbing scent. This is a serious and very unique fragrance which is why I love it so much. I cant think of anything I have ever smelt that reminds me of this. Literally anyone of any age can rock this. This starts off with a nice, soft blast of incredibly raw lemon with an herbaceous lavender to support the lemon - really sparkly fresh, but not ridiculously sharp. It then slowly transitions into an almost syrupy-warm, yet bright modern-oriental with a fresh-woody backbone. I will say it is remarkably tough to describe this fragrance by notes. I just simply cannot do it due to the quality of the execution of this specific chemistry. At the end of the day, I would describe this as a diabolically-superior fresh fragrance that you won't find anywhere else. Once again...a Roja Parfum I have fallen in love with! Scent: 9/10 Longevity: 9/10 Sillage: 9/10 Yeah...It's that good!

With all the accolades that come with Nio by Xerjoff being considered the best citrus frag , I don’t understand how this frag doesn’t get mentioned as one of the best. Does it have some similarities to TDH? Sure, a little bit. At first spray on paper yes it did remind me of TDH and I primarily dismissed this frag. But the next day I gave it a full wearing and got a different experience. Yea it might have some similarities to TDH but this thing blossoms and dries down into something beyond TDH. The quality doesn’t not compare. Not to take credit away from TDH but this is on another level. Not only the smell but this has to be the best citrus based frag I’ve encountered thus far with this kind of longevity. I’m talking 12hrs plus. How many citrus and fresh frags you know have that kind of lasting power? The overall scent is well blended and full bodied. To make a long story short comparing TDH to this is like a TV movie special compared with a Martin Scorsese film. Oligarch is cinematic!

Wow so delicious, opulent, fresh and powerful. How beautiful. If you like Amouage Reflection man then I'm sure you will appreciate this to. It does have a piney quality, presumably arising from the juniper that lends a characteristically northern DNA to the scent. The citrus is beautifully played and pairs wonderfully with the aromatic notes. This is truly majestic and reminds me of a proud and aristocratic man on a royal stallion. There is something familiar and nostalgic, a kind of minty accord in the base that is reminiscent of a patriachal figure. Oligarch is magical and this is coming from someone with an aversion to citrus fragrances. There is a biting spice in the background that I can't pinpoint but it adds a pinch of an oriental quality and depth. Oligarch has a chilling, peppery accord in the ultimate dry down that serves to add an exclusive vibe and create distance and announce the subject before they are seen. A total love, 10/10.

This is truly an amazing fragrance! On stumbling upon this via a sample, it’s quickly become one of my top 5 fragrances. I do see the similarity with TDH, but Oligarch is so so much more. It’s extremely well blended, a mix of zesty orange, pepper and smooth black currant. It also has that slight ambergris vibe that so many of Roja’s fragrances possess. It really is so much more than TDH, it’s more masculine and well defined, extremely versatile and very luxurious. BUT, it’s also very expensive! Even more so now that’s it’s discontinued. Another downside is the longevity, about 3 to 4 hours on my skin. However, there is hope! I’ve also managed to find an EXCEPTIONALLY good clone from Niche Perfume Oils on ebay. It’s hard to find decent clones that really mirror the original, but theirs is extremely close! Here’s where I purchased it ebay . com / itm / 185790563557 (this version is a spay, not an oil). I have 4 50ml bottles of this now!

Let's be Honest with this fragrance. Some people is saying this fragrans is similar to Terre D'Hermes. I have both... Oligarch is...... 10 15% similar to TDH... no more... so are the same kind of family?. Yes... They Smell the same?. Not at all. They are similar.. A bit... nothing more. Is the same history with OV and Mugler Cologne.. How can some people say Mugler Cologne is very similar to OV??? how the hell? xDDDD.. I have both and are the same family, Both are fresh, green, soapy, but they are no more than 50% similar. or less. Mugler Cologne is a neroli fragrance and OV is all about Vetiver and earthy notes. Montblanc Individuel is similar to OS?? yes. One can replace the other? not at all. But if you can only afford the montblanc then is a good one, but OS is another level of perfumery. MI is very very synthetic, where OS is really natural smelling.

I completely agree with Aengland05's review that this fragrance bears a strong resemblance to Memo's African Leather. The initial burst of fresh apple notes, is followed by a well-known facet of the Terre d'Hermes DNA, is skillfully complemented by a spicy warmth reminiscent of African Leather. Overall, this fragrance is a lovely offering, but it is only worth considering when you don't know where to put your next dollars as this is highly overpriced. It's not a casual fragrance, but rather suited for night outs or black tie events due to its elegant yet fresh character. Performance is good and sillage is slightly underwhelming. In summary, this fragrance is a harmonious blend of 60% Terre d'Hermes, 30% African Leather, and 10% Roja Magic, making it a well-rounded scent with a unique character.

OK. I have now Oligarch and Terre d'hermes edt, parfum..also have the new Intense Vetiver one. All I can say being honest is... OLIGARCH >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>ALL TERRE D'hermes. if you have and love terre d'hermes as I do, do what you want, but Oligarch is far, and I say really Far superior fragrance, by thousand miles of distance. Of course is much expensive but if you want to spend or not is a personal opinion. I have given to smell my family without saying which is which oligarch and all the fragrances of Terre and the 4 members of my family have given a 10 to oligarch, to tdh edt a 6 on average, to tdh parfum a 7 on average, and to tdh intense vetiver a 6.5 on average.

An absolutely glorious citrus fragrance. Most of the ingredients dance in and out of the sillage. Bright, fresh, uplifting but with a commanding, powerful and unapologetic presence. Oligarch - aptly named. Yes there are some nuances that lean toward Terre D'Hermes Parfum but TDH is notably more serious, pungent, sour-dirty in its presentation so the two are sufficiently different to have both. They have similar styles but different characters. Add to that the obvious higher quality of ingredients used in Oligarch and the choice is clear - well, for me at least. ;o) All I need now is a bank loan to buy a full bottle. :-(

I smelled this in December and reveled in the fact I loved it as I tend to dislike more masc scents. I knew it was hard to find and discon. I ended up asking my local perfumery I shop at frequently, they had 2 left... and we’re only selling them by request to loyal customers. It’s a great aromatic, citrusy, floral scent on my skin with a royal, expensive feel. I have gotten over 20 compliments and I’ve worn it twice. If you have the chance to get it at retail, get it. It’s worth it! 10/10.

I love Terre d’Hermès and yes, the inspiration is there in Oligarch. I own a “Parfum” bottle which I got for much less than its asking retail price a year or two ago, thankfully. My bottle has definitely matured from the first uses, as the sillage is huge and can fill a room from a single spray. Much more citrus forward which I appreciate. Perfect for summer, spring and fall days. Roja has yet to let me down. I do wish the price was more accessible as some of these can get ridiculous.

I'm completely mind-blown with Oligarch, it's incredible. I don't get a similarity with Terre D'Hermes at all. I do get a slight similarity with Elysium with the added birch smoke from Aventus. Oligarch is ground-breaking, elegant and a complete stunner. Amazing performance. There's nothing to not love, here. You owe it to yourself to get your nose on this. Scent: 10/10 Longevity: 9/10 Projection: 9/10 Price/Performance Ratio: 4/10

One of my favourite summer fragrances. A beautiful mix of citruses with bright woody and floral notes in the background. It's very fresh and fruity, one of the most refreshing smells ever. While I love Elysium as well, I actually think this is better and also smells more expensive and richer with more depth to the fragrance. I'm happy not as many people know about this one though, more Oligarch for me. 10/10

If you are going to say this smells like Viking and Hermès you are better off not owning Roja’s intensely complex creations. Many say there is marketing and that’s part of it but the juice is to die for. This citrus last forever on my skin. I took a shower and still smell it on me from spraying 4 sprays this morning. Absolute must try for true fragrance lovers and Roja collectors..

Nose Note #373 I haven't read all the reviews, but doesn't anybody see the connection sith Creed Aventus? After a few wearing I started to get it and then I looked at the notes. Bergamot, black currant, birch and the rest. It's basically Creed Aventus with an extra layer of bits and pieces. But it's still Aventus. I'd say it's Aventus meets Himalaya Man - all that is. Wonderful

TdH is dogsh*t in comparison to Oligarch. I couldn't stand TdH, meanwhile I never get tired of Oligarch. This juice is much more complex and just fantastic. Should never have been discontinued. It's only going to get harder to find, snatch it up if you can. I find myself reaching for this often in the spring and am never disappointed. Scent: 4/5 Longevity: 4/5 Sillage: 3/5

Well , it has the same personality as Terre d'Hermes with a little bit of difference . If Terre d'Hermes smells like a rich man , this one would smell like a wealthy luxurious man and more open-minded; it has more action than Terre d'Hermes with more mass-appealing . This is what a man should smell like , wow.

It is such an amazing, unique, 10000/10. One of the best ever smelling frag that I have ever but my nose on. Nothing to do at all with Hermes or any other frags that other mentioned. It is so unique and a masterpiece done by Roja. For me it is the best that Roja made.

An absolutely stunning fragrance that is so soft, airy with depth which screams high quality, it has X factor! But for £375 for 50ml.... hmmmm I rather spend £33 on a 5ml decant and use it for special classy occasions that do not happen often sadly.

But Terre is a chemical brother, but this one is natural Terre. By the way, the Oligarch is better than Terre. ;) As I understand this perfume special for Abramovich. If you want to smell like Abramovich (Russian oligarch), then use it. ;)
