Electric Wood Extrait

This fragrance deserves so much better than its unfortunate name and note pyramid, because to my nose there's not much wood or oakmoss in here, and to be honest I'm glad. This is delicious vanilla with a maybe some cinnamon or nutmeg (but not in an Angel Share type of way) and a whisper of wood that lasts FOREVER when most perfumes get eaten up by my skin. Just a touch on the masculine side but still so soft and gentle. For me this is actually what makes this a love for me. Purchased a full bottle on the spot about 3 weeks ago and already made a decent dent in the bottle.

I never smelled the original but this is great. If you focus and look for every note you'll find it, but if you smell it as a whole it gives off the impression of charred wood drizzled with a spiced caramel. Very warm with a cozy sweetness. Spicy, woody, and smoky with an underlying sweetness yet it remains masculine leaning. Love.

Came into a random perfumery and tried this one because i like woody perfumes. I didn't expect to like it as much when I learned it has moss, but damn. At first it's sweet and woody, with time it becomes less sweet. Remindes me a little bit of Silky woods. Perfectly unisex, really expensive.

I was looking for a woody, semi sweet unisex scent specifically & this just hit the nail on the head for me! I love the Room 1015 brand personally. They make really good quality fragrances that are niche, but also very likeable and pretty easy to wear imo. I really enjoy this fragrance. It's mostly a nutmeg, vanilla will just a HINT of cedar/vetiver in the background that grounds this fragrance and helps your mind register the "woody" aspect of this fragrance. It's a beautiful spiced vanilla fragrance tho. To be 100% honest this smells almost like a carbon copy of Happy Dust. Can't even tell them apart hardly. Only SMALL difference between the two frags is the light and random whiffs of wood/green aspects you get in electric wood. But again that's very minimal. If you have one you don't need the other at all. I have both and regret it. I actually do prefer electric wood extrait over happy dust though. Sillage is moderate and longevity is pretty great, it lasts all day but can still project softly for 6-8hrs.

This is identical to by the fireplace to my nose. It is an extrait, however I personally think it is more toned down version of By the fireplace. Smokey, sweet with a nice touch of vanilla. Lasts really well, 8-10 hours with good projection. Save yourself the $200+ price tag and get by the fireplace (: 7/10

Electric Wood is a softer, smoother, and more refined version of MM’s By the Fireplace. I prefer it to By the Fire.

This is a sweeter take on something like Liis Bo. More aromatic/spiced than Bo. Maybe the nutmeg or cardamom plus with the addition of caramel whereas Bo is a more clean, clear woody scent with a hint of vanilla. Bo is the understated, effortlessly cool older sister and Electric Wood is the “pick me” younger sister who wears too much makeup and vies for all the boys attention.

I like it, earthy vanilla Is everytime great idea. But first sniff And I know I already smell this fragrance, totally the same like Margiela By the fireplace... Why? Really, totally same DNA.

A cover that just doesn't get it, to continue the music metaphor. Deeply roasted almost burnt (to the point of coffee) chalva candy with a bit of muskiness on top gives way to somewhat salty umami savouriness in the middle. The base is a rather simple vanilla waffle sort of scent - i.e., a cooked, thick, sweet vanilla batter and a bit of nutmeg and/or cardamom whipped cream (bit like a semlor, if you're Swedish). Earthy musk - what I assume is the oakmoss - throughout in the projection. Unlike the original EDP namesake, I didn't really detect anything I'd identify as metallic electricity, and just the barest hint of short-lived wood if you look for it desparately in the middle. Lacks dimension and contrast in that sense. Definitely don't get it expecting that you'll like this on account of liking the original - this is an entirely different animal. The only thing in common really is the powderiness, though I'd say there's much less of it here, or it's significantly overpowered by the rather extreme sweetness. Generally a much thicker and heavier fragrance than the EDP, this swings more feminine and very much toward the colder seasons. Not unpleasant in its own right - especially if you like the idea of being someone's dessert. Though honestly a complete disappointment, as I very much enjoyed the sadly discontinued original, whereas of this I will definitely not be using up even the sample that I got. I'd rate it as ok on its own, but it should've been called something else - Mossy Semlor comes to mind - to avoid confusing fans, which brings it down to a dislike.

I was surprised to find that this is not at all a wood fragrance. It's a strong vanilla fragrance. It literally just smells like a very basic whipped cream vanilla on a moss base. Zero trace of cardamom, saffron, nutmeg, orris, myrrh, cedar, cypriol, or vetiver. Projects like crazy and lasts forever, though.

First, here's the official scent. Top notes: cardamom, saffron, nutmeg. Middle notes: orris, myrrh, oakmoss. Base notes: cedar, cypriol, vetiver, vanilla. After trying it three times, here are my impressions. At first... Although it's not mentioned here, I detect a strong coffee scent and a hint of cardamom. So far, I can't detect any nutmeg. The scent lingers for about 30 minutes. After that, a very rich vetiver scent begins to emerge. It's reminiscent of the vetiver in "Fat Electrician of Eld." A powdery orris scent wafts deep, leaving a faint hint of vanilla. After a few hours, all the scents start to blend together. I can also detect nutmeg, cedar, and saffron. Unfortunately, I can't detect any oakmoss at the moment. Maybe I'll find it if I look a little more. Now, Electric Wood Extract is a completely different fragrance from Electric Wood EDP. To me, Electric Wood EDP is a fresher, more floral, and woody scent with a dominant cedar scent.

Delicious woody vanilla that reminds me of By the Fireplace with added myrrh and spices. Not as sweet but still addictive. Absolutely long lasting and projects for hours, creating a beautiful scent bubble. I wouldn't say this is exactly like BTF but definitely has the same DNA! Edit: also reminds me of Mashumaro a bit! As if Mashumaro and By the Fireplace had a baby!!! Hmmmm, if I layer Mashumaro + By the Fireplace, will I get something similar to Electric Woods? I shall find out!!!

Let me start by saying smelling like food is my least favorite thing, and above that, Vanilla absolutely not BUT this, THIS! Is something else. Its a damp Forrest with the air rich with sweet vanilla building, getting richer and more fragrant as the moments pass. I LOVE THIS ❤️

Immediate full bottle worthy. Don't let the next statement scare you because this is gooood. There's a .00001 percent of a gasoline note, but its done sooooooo well that I'm in love with it. As a woman who prefers sweet unisex fragrances this is a must have.

Starts off woody with citrus in the background and moss at the forefront. I don't get the sweetness until very slightly at dry down but i don't love it enough to wait. I am glad I sampled it first.

Smells exactly like By the Fireplace, almost identical
