Sonic Flower

I came across this fragrance, partially by mistake, and partially with intention. I was excited to smell ‘Wavechild’ and ‘Cherry Punk’ but I had to browse and smell through all of the bottles they had in line, but this one actually stunned me. Musks, powders, ambroxian and iris notes are not something I am drawn to, but this light cloud of a fragrance is stunning. I had to try it on my skin, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it as the day went by and I caught the scent in every autumn wind. ‘Sonic Flower’ starts off with a sweet carrot note, contrasted by a not-too-spicy pepper, swaddled in a warm blanket of a slightly chemical powder note. It is clean, and fresh, and gives that musky «Your skin but better». It feels slightly feminine leaning, and I would say it probably suits a younger audience (but this is not in a juvenile realm by any means!). Still, in some ways it feels a bit edgy even though I cannot pinpoint what makes me say that. It is too well blended for me to pick out single notes and tell whats and whys, it is harmonious and mellow, almost transparent. It suits its own name perfectly. I stated that musk, powders, ambroxian and iris notes are not notes that I am drawn to. Ambroxian I often struggle to smell, and this is no exception. But, in this composition this is smooth and fresh and lasts forever? This perfume really lasts, up to 14 hours on my skin! It dries down to a kind of simple clean smell, and lies on my skin as a powdery fresh musk. Unfortunately, the pepper and carrot disappears in the first couple of hours, and that is the part I really love about this one. Nevertheless, I still bought a bottle of this one the day after I first smelled it and experienced it. It just surprised me too much, and really is a very beautiful inoffensive all time round scent.

As a fragrance enthusiast, and frag store owner, I'm absolutely besotted! It effortlessly tops my collection. I find these fluffy musky skin perfumes so addicting. There is a fleeting creamy note in them that makes me crave them... like the smell of a baby lol 😂. This is a subtle scent and it is similar to Glossier You. It lasts longer, which is a nice addition, especially for the additional price tag too. This one opens a bit different in comparison to other skin scents. Majority of the skin scents, I can't smell them at the initial spray. This one, however, has carrot seeds in the top notes, and it smells like new clothes in the inital spray. Vegetal, slightly spicy, and smooth. I kinda wish it was a bit more spicy. It dries down to a typical fluffy skin scent that is just a tad on the sweet side. As for longevity, you get a strong 2 hours, then you can catch whiffs of it for the rest of the day (I've been able to smell it at the end of a work day), which is pretty awesome for a fluffy skin scent. Overall, a delicate clean feminine scent that can be worn whenever. Currently, I wear this one almost every other dayand often before I sleep. I'm on my second bottle. This is my skin scent for life at the moment. 10/10

I made an account just to review this fragrance.. I went searching for something similar (or better?) to glossier YOU because I enjoy YOU a lot. Well sonic flower isn't exactly like You, (you is saltier and a bit sharper to me where sonic flower is smoother) but it's similar and oh boy is it amazing. I mean it's unlike a lot of other floral fragrances so If you don't like florals because they're too indolic or heavy, and youre tired of boozy fragrances, or overly sweet juicy ones, or sharp spicy base notes ... this floral is dry and not very sweet but still soft and feminine and very smooth with a clean musk, more like crumpled up dried flowers and dry woods (not potpourri) that smell dusty rather than wet and fresh or perfumy flowers, but it's beautiful with the slight pink pepper note like glossier you, in addition to a bit of carrot as a top note, but not as strong and sharp as the pepper on YOU. It's like a perfume that doesn't smell like perfume and will leave people wondering *what* smells so good rather than wondering who's wearing a perfume.

this (gorgeous) perfume smells like a girl i can imagine in the powder room at an upscale, gatsby-esque party. she’s fun, she’s bubbly, she’s new on the scene and she wants to make friends. she’s had a few too many glasses of some fancy pear-flavored champagne, and she’s chatting up every person she comes across while they reapply their lipstick. the experience of wearing this perfume is something i can only describe as exuberant. it’s delicate and uplifting, ephemerally cheerful. i’m biased towards powdery fragrances, true, but this here is a real stunner. if you’re worried about this being too powdery, i wouldn’t be. it’s a piece of the puzzle, yes, but it’s definitely not the only accord that gains traction. in general, i think Room 1015 is a fantastic brand, and i’m excited to try more from them in the future. if you enjoy Sonic Flower, i would recommend Electric Wood for sure, and Purple Mantra if you’re brave.

Loved this fragrance. Yes, it has a pencil scrap vibe, like so faint woodyness, but I love it. Feels so elegant, aereal and nostalgic. I was really tempted by this fragrance and wanted to purchased it. But I was persuaded by its absolutely lack of longevity and projection. I sprayed on my skin and, while it lasts 2-4 hours, it was barely noticeable after and hour or so. Hoping it will last longer in clothes I'v just discovered that it is even fainter. So sad about it. I'm craving this profile now, but can't find in my country B&B or Glossier. So... If someone comes with another perfume similar to this one, but with a duration worth the price, I'm all ears. EDIT: Seems that I may become anosmic to this perfume, because I can't barely smell after a few hours but keep catching some scent traces after many hours. I feel that it lasts longer than I think.

This one’s sublime. Reminiscent of Glossier You, but more organic from the carrot seed making it seem textural if that makes sense. It has no pear note listed, but you get a perfectly ripe pear hit in here. It also sort of smells like a clean baby’s head - not like baby powder or baby scents, but the natural and warm skin musk of a fresh baby. The jasmine isn’t instantly detectable to me - just adds to the overall “wrapped in a blanket” vibe without feeling seasonal at all (to me). Theres some similarities to this and White Rice from D’Annam as well. If you like White Rice or Glossier You, this is a safe blind buy. I ran out of my sample, bought a travel size, and plan on buying a full size tomorrow. Signature scent worthy. Clean girl but make it sweet and organic.

This is such a beautiful, understated skin scent. It is very very similar to d'Annam's new release, White Rice, which I own. Both have this lovely, savory vegetal aspect and both dry to a soft and slightly sweet jasmine/iris combo which just exudes quiet cleanliness. I take a deep breath every time I catch a whiff. Something about fragrances in this category is so calming and meditative. Sonic Flower is the tiniest bit more powdery and irisy than White Rice which leans a little more woody in the dry down. Since I own White Rice, I don't think it's necessary to run out and buy this one unless I have some spare cash laying around, but trust me, I would if I did. This is just so good. The perfect every day, every season, any occasion scent. 9.5/10

Sonic Flower began as an intriguing like for me that has grown to a big love. After spending a few weeks with a sample of this one, I finally decided I need at least a travel size to spend more time together before graduating to a 50 ml. This one has REALLY grown on me! It's definitely a skin scent, with the jasmine giving it a subtle hint of florals, but for me its the carrot and iris combo that make this such a compelling, beautiful and interesting scent. I absolutely love it! It's comforting, and easy to wear in any situation (without being one of those common-place, 'inoffensive' --i.e. - boring -- perfumes). If you're looking for an interesting everyday skin scent with reasonable projection and decent lasting power, look no further!

This fragrance feels like lying in clean sheets after a long shower. It is definitely reminiscent of the classic & beloved Glossier You. But, I think it has a bit more depth to it. Sonic Flower possesses the same musky & slightly spicy quality, with the addition of Orris & Carrot Seeds which gives it a more grounded influence. It’s definitely still a clean scent, but it has more complexity than others in its category. Projection & lasting power are pretty great for a skin scent. Overall, a beautiful fragrance. If you enjoyed Glossier You, you’d enjoy this one as well, but given all of the similarities I don’t think you need both. Though, both have definitely found a special spot in my heart.

This reminds me of Iris Shot by Olfactive Studios. The carrot notes are identical but as dries down it evolves into a creamier version of Musk Therapy. This is a cocoon of slightly citrus soft musk with the jasmine keeping it airy. I've never tried Glossier You or Ella K. It is however along the same lines that Diptyque Fluer de Peau has. I would say the later mentioned is a bit more floral and just a touch sweetie but they both give the your skin but better vibe. This lasts at least 8 hrs on my skin and sticks to textiles even longer and I am a chronic under-sprayer. Easy reach with a perfected classy effect that's effortless. It's absolutely beautiful.

I am completely smitten with with musky perfume, which opens up on my skin with carrot seed, pear and ambrette. There is a dry blond wood and gentle jasmine. It's so very lovely. I actually have Musc K by Ella K and whilst they would be in the same family, they're hardly alike. That one is much more potent and milky skin-musk forward, with a load of pow and wow. That one is incredibly sexy and high volume, with lots of ambrofix that lasts for days and days. Sonic Flower is much more ephermeral, and I would wear it more for day-wear. It's just gorgeous and one of the very best from Jérôme Epinette.

Crazy to me that people in these reviews are saying this is boring/basic. Reminds me that this stuff is so subjective. To me, this is comforting and familiar yet bizzarre, like smelling a flower in a dream or on a different planet. Powdery, buttery, musky, earthy, fluffy and clean all at once. I am SO not a jasmine-head but I am a lover of orris, musk, and pink pepper. The jasmine here doesn't bug me; it just gives it a more clearly floral quality without being indolic. Similar to Glossier You but def weirder, more powdery, and complex. And longer lasting (or maybe I'm just noseblind to You).

I blind bought cherry punk (which I love) a couple of months ago and ordered the sample set. Initially I didn't like other fresher scents (on me) as much as cherry punk, but now a bit later when the spring is coming I find myself really like these too. I thought this was more masculine, but now it's actually more feminine to my nose. Very fresh, the pink pepper is not too harsh, it's sophisticated. It's made for the moments when you are fresh from the shower, wearing your best light toned underwear, white shirt, tailored trousers and leather loafers. Very office appropriate scent. Love it.

This is Glossier You done better, in my opinion (and I love You). Sonic Flower is slightly sweeter; not as dry. You is creamier than Sonic Flower, but Sonic Flower is sharper, brighter, and more feminine. If you like You, you'll love Sonic Flower. Longevity and projection are also a bit louder and longer on my skin than the Glossier You. If you have one you may not need the other but if you love this particular smell you'll probably want both because they are just ever-so-different enough to merit that for the collector of white musks and clean skin scents (like me lol).

I have smelled other fragrances that want to be this (imo) with the musk and the iris but none that really hit the mark like this does. This has levels to it. I LOVE warm spicy frags so this is out of my general line up of what I prefer with my skin chemistry but something about this is "other worldy" as another reviewer said. There is nothing about this that is basic. Yeah I can see it being "dusty" if that is the reference to the powder accord, that to me is the powder accord done beautifully. It's completely unique and that is a fragrance done right imo.

This is everything I hoped it would be. It smells exactly like BBW If You Musk, which I've been spraying liberally and using up over the past few months. Crisp, peppery opening that smells STRONGLY of pear. It's clean, fresh, bright, with a hint of pencil shavings throughout. But it dries down to something soft, fuzzy, the color of salmon pink. Slightly reminiscent of Fleur de Peau but lighter, brighter, less vintage/powdery. Really enjoy this as an every day perfume, it's not too expensive so I'll definitely be picking up a full bottle.

I love this scent, and I normally layer it with Glossier You. They smell very much alike. But Sonic Flower is a little bit sweeter and juicier, while Glossier is more peppery and clean smelling. I have gotten compliments wearing this combo multiple times. And while I sometimes cannot smell it, people compliment the trail I leave behind, I have received compliments almost 7 hours later after applying. Another combo I like to do is Sonic Flower + 1 or 2 sprays of Jo Malone's Wood Sage Sea Salt. Just so fresh, clean and crisp. I LOVE!!!

I bought this because I absolutely love glossier you and it saddens me that it's not beast mode,because glossier you is everything to me. Although glossier you and sonic flower are different the DNA of sonic flower is extremely similar. I think of sonic flower as glossier you with a fresh, clean watery pear note, it's soooo beautiful. Unfortunately this doesn't last on me very long, which is a shame becauze this perfume if perfect in every other way. Does anyone have recommendations of perfumes like sonic flower that are beast mode?

Attracted to this because of the carrot seed note and comparisons to Liis 'Studied', which is interesting - to my brain 'Studied' is warmth and stillness, while 'Sonic Flower' is icy and pink cashmere. I get the pencil shavings note from the bottle (not necessarily a negative for me), but on my skin the scent blooms into pink pepper and musk. I think I love! This feels like a good, everyday reach - subtle but striking (and tbh less basic than Glossier 'You', which I loved the original, but never owned a FB).

Oh yesss. This is the kind of powdery iris musk I can get behind. A lot like you, without the woods and pepper and add on some lasting power that you lacks. Somewhat like fleur de peu but a touch sweeter and less aldehydes which is great in my book. Pear is super prominent not sure why it's not listed there. I love this! Definitely a great choice if you want a good musky powdery orris with just a touch of sweetness and lastign power. I haven't been impressed with this house yet but this one is impressive.

Smells absolutely beautiful on the skin right off the bat. I was searching for a tangential scent because I liked Glossier You a lot but found it turned very chemical/synthetic after a while-- like my nose became desensitized to all it's floral notes. So this was a huge step up and literally every single person I've shown it too says "it's like Glossier You but so much better!" Only flaw is that it had horrible longevity I feel like I can't smell it at all after an hour or two.

Personally not familiar with Glossier You, but this opens up with lots of carrot seed, then pretty soon dries down to something very similar to ESCENTRIC 02. Not Molecule 02! (Common mistake) If there is any actual iris at all, then it's very subtle. Edit: It's been 24 hours and I can still smell it on my skin. Longevity is actually really great, it's just that it's a skin scent after the first hour or so. It does project during the first hour after application.

I love Sonic Flower, which is surprising since I usually strongly dislike anything with ambroxan in it. This has been my most reached for sample probably ever so I might have to invest in a full bottle. It is really lovely and clean, perfect for the office. You can really smell the individual notes even with an untrained nose but the orris, cashmeran and musk definitely dominate.

I love it so much. So different. One of my partner's favorite scents on me. Peppery on first spray, and I thought I wouldn't like it. Then when it dries down, the jasmine and musk scents shine. Not offensive or controversial, I've never gotten complaints while wearing. Very strong sillage and longevity on me. I can spray a couple times and it lasts me all day.

Clean, smooth, fluffy, sweet. This is heavenly. I love the carrot seed in this fragrance with the soft Jasmin. Nothing like any fragrance I own. Love it. Addictive, the more you smell it the closer you move in for more. For some reason I picture a white freezie; If I could attribute a scent to a white cool freezie... this perfume.

A more sophisticated Glossier You. Longevity is on the lower end of moderate, but layering it with the Glossier body butter helps. This is a scent that I wasn’t sure if I liked at first and the more I wear it, the more I love it. I’m almost finished my 8ml decant and plan to buy a full bottle—Price is reasonable too.

Received a sample of this today and I'm absolutely in love with this. Beautiful, musky, juicy floral, really close in sillage and does not project a whole lot so perfect for the season. This is very ethereal and feels so comforting and somehow also nostalgic. I need a full bottle of this asap!!!

Soft, fluffy, musk/cashmere fragrance. Blended beautifully; it’s unbelievably smooth. Like wearing an expensive cashmere sweater. A touch of orris and a dash of spices to add depth, but nothing too much. Not usually my preferred style of perfume but so well executed.

tried in a perfume shop and based on the notes this wouldn’t be for me but it’s a gorgeous scent i love it i think it’s so vibrant and the carrot seed does so much for this it also has a coriander seed note to me it reminds me of gin aromatics it’s gorgeous

Slowly but surely, I fell so in love with it that today I even risked parking illegally to buy it, haha. It's the kind of cool-girl scent that no one will probably ever smell on you, you spray it just for your own joy. But with the greatest pleasure.

This is such a tactile fragrance. A symphony of waxy, soft, drippy things. Red lipstick, candle sticks, pink haze, watery pear. Definitely a relative of Glossier You, but I think better and brighter. Tender in all the right ways.

If there's an orris note, in my experience I will probably be a fan and if not, I'll still like it and that's definitely the case with this fragrance. Very nice and soft. Reminds me of a softer version of White Rice by d'annam.

blind bought because my glossier you was running low best decision ever, definitely replacing glossier as my everyday scent upon first spray it smelled identical to the smell of glossier you after sitting a while on clothes

To my nose, this is masterpiece of pink pepper + wood shavings aroma that gives the vibes of a minimalistic, clean and wealthy person who is quiet in their luxury. I could bathe in this scent. Love from the fist sniff.

I actually REALLY enjoy the carrot opening. Smells so innocent and happy. It's less screechy than Glossier You, Sonic Flower is smoother and smells more expensive. Intimate sillage, becomes a skin scent at 3-4 hours.

identical to glossier you! in a less heady/irisy way. smells like the distinct sweet smell of a freshly cleaned bart station which i strangely like. will need to wear this for a full day to fully experience

Have you ever taken a sip of 100% pure cranberry juice, and it makes the inside of your mouth feel completely dry? That’s the sensation this fragrance gives me, but in my nose. I absolutely adore it.

The most beautiful powdery but not cloying scent. Maybe it's my skin but this lasts and projects quite well. I'm able to wear this in an office setting without offending other noses.

Finally found a skin scent that doesn't disappear in 2 hours and smells divine. Spicy, musky, warm, creamy. The carrot seed, orris, and iris are perfection. New signature scent!

this is glossier you, but stronger and less synthetic. it's that exact musky, lipsticky iris, peppery smell, but with waaaay better ingredients. definitely full bottle worthy.

I like this much better than glossier you for the plain fact it is longer lasting on me and more interesting they smell similar though but I think sonic flower is more airy.

The opening is strait-up unripped pear to me. But then it turns into a carroty Glossier you. It's very very beautiful, a very elegant tannic musky skin scent

In my opinion, this is a beast mode of glossier you. And honestly may even smell a little better, easy decision, full bottle purchase for me.

So in love with this parfume, can’t stop sniffing my wrist. Clean and safe scent with a twist. Perfect office-scent . Tomboy-ish.

this is the closest I’ve gotten to finding a dupe for the original Glossier You formula! my old bottle smells just like this.

Juicy ripe pear with a lipsticky iris. It’s so sophisticated and comforting. It’s like a faint memory captured in a bottle.

Better than glossier you. Longer lasting, a little more soapy smelling. Clean, fresh, a little sharp. Wonderful smell.

A crisp white T shirt with the cleanest hair. Casually necessary with that addictive clean intrigue.
