1775 Noble For Men

Great smell! My first cologne, it smelled amazing, the projection and longevity were decent too which was a plus, thanks to Royal Copenhagen for making such a nice and unforgettable cologne. Smells of Bergamont, and mostly Vanilla on me, but I do sense some woodsy smells but not as much as I do for the Vannila. Seems like a cologne for the man who wants to stand out, like wearing a suit at a concert, or a leather jacket at a wedding, but not in a bad way.

I reviewed this fragrance on Amazon so I'll share it here as well... Sadly this was my least favorite fragrance in my collection. Upon first smell, I thought this cologne was going to become my signature scent. It is warm and sweet, but there is also a bit of spice. The bottle is an attractive red glass, and comes in a large size when comparing its price to other scents. However, the quality of this scent is rather poor. 1. The smell: as mentioned, when sprayed on the paper at the store, I thought I was going to love this smell! However, when I wore it, it had a different effect on me. In fact, I wanted to wash it off. This is perhaps a problem with the scent reacting to my own body chemistry, but this is something to keep in mind as this is my first time experiencing something like this. 2. The longevity/sillage: This smell disappears rather quickly. I would say that within an hour or two, it was pretty much faded. With that being said, I had sprayed the scent on each side of my neck once, once on the back of my neck, and once on my wrists. I even tried applying a scented lotion prior to application, and this only helped slightly. In order to get any effect, I had to practically shower myself in the cologne, and even then, it needed a touch up later in the day. On top of that, the sprayer is rather finicky, so applying it well required a bit of twisting the cap around from when I first pulled it out of the box. I have also tested other versions of 1775, and from my observation, this appears to be a flaw in the sprayer of all of their bottles. I was holding onto it until summer, because I want to see how I react to the smell in the warm weather, as I thought it may have been a better fit then. But it didn't pass the warm weather test, so I ended up throwing it away (couldn't even give it away). Fortunately, I got it for a good price so I am not too heartbroken about financial losses. But were I to have paid full price, I would have definitely been upset.

Not a huge fan of this one, which is crazy because I love the rest of this new collection by Royal C. It has a mix of sporty fresh, and spicy sweet. Its not as sweet as Dunhill Desire, which I like about the Dunhill. It is more sweet than the Lacoste Style Play. Falls somewhere just in between. More like Echo 72...
