Oud Jasmine

This is like smelling a just-plucked jasmine flower. It is sweet and sticky like pollen and petals, rich and honeyed. Inhale too deeply and you'll find a sharp note that is a little painful to the nose -- which is exactly what I experience when smelling the actual flower -- although that only lasts for the first 10 minutes or so. It hovers over the skin like a mist, the fragrance of flowers in the hot sun, open to their full bloom and alllllllmost past their prime, like a foreshadowing of indolic overripe descent into decay, but still on this side of fresh. The oud is quite subdued, seemingly more of an anchor than a prominent co-star. I was expecting something like Al-Khat by Xerjoff, but that is a huge animalic oud bomb sweetened by jasmine, while this is jasmine jasmine jasmine with a bit of soft powdery musk. I don't know if I go nose-blind to it, but it does not seem to have great longevity on my skin, maybe a few hours. I can't see buying a full bottle because of the price (even on discounters), but I would absolutely pull the trigger if it were more reasonable.

It's more of a vintage jasmines than oud fragrance. It has that rancid jasmines ylang mix with hints of saffron, cloves, & cardamom. some cedar and slight woody notes and has nothing to do with oud! It has that vintage quality creamy type of fragrance with state of sophistication. The top notes really tricks badly that made it quite bland and repetitive somehow but as it calms down it goes quite blessing and captivating! This shouldn't be classified in oud categorys, it should be classified in floral and roses category as the roses starts to rise after 5 to 10 minutes of applying making the blend works miracles on my skin! I need to test this more to check if there is any charms it brings. Edit (3rd April 2017) I believe the tuberose rises after that bringing the spices up with mild sweetness and sharp jasmines. It reminds me allot of Millar Harris "Noix de Tubereuse" with the spice tuberose.

When compared to Jasmin Rouge the scent bubbles are indeed very similar. (I absolutely disagree that the Jasmine in JR smells artificial) However, nose to skin they are actually more different than I realized on my previous testing. OJ is a warmer, "golden" jasmine, and closer to a soliflore than JR. The background elements in OJ meld and create a fizzy, sweet kind of sun-baked sand-crusted sweet yeast roll smell. JR is, IMO, a more impressively composed scent. Yes, the jasmine there is comparatively tame (more of a neutered sweet jasmine) but the background feels more sophisticated and interesting. It reminds me of the smell of the sun-bleached dead vegetation this time of year covered in a thick morning dew; dry floral hay with cool sweet moisture? As they wear they become more similar, the jasmine in OJ backs down a little and becomes slightly more prominent in JR.

This is the best jasmine perfume I have ever smelled. It’s the stuff of jasmine dreams. Forget the oud, you can’t even smell any so don’t let that scare you away if you’re not an oud fan. This does NOT smell like TF Jasmin Rouge because that one is clearly fake jasmin and gives me a headache but this is like the highest quality pure jasmin absolute and it’s absolutely heavenly. There is tuberose and ylang ylang in there also to enhance it but this is not a floral blend, it’s a jasmin centered fragrance. If you’re not a jasmine fan....RUN!! This is an indolic jasmine but it’s so pure, there is no screechiness. I have been spoiled by this perfume and I can’t imagine any jasmine dominant perfume ever surpassing it for me. How could it?? I mean this is perfection. And the bottle and presentation is simply stunning.

This is type of Jasmine either you love it or hate it - not in between. It's a moody, aristocratic type of Jasmine; heavy contrast between heady & glowing floral heart (heavily led by Jasmine and Ylang) and slightly animalic, leathery and ambery base covered by face powder to give off that old Guerlain vibes. Oud is very subtle which is good because it'd have clashed so hard with such a strong heart notes. It makes me think of the iconic moody classics without smelling outdated, however.

This is another masterpiece from the house. Strong Oud and Jasmine, as it was intended to be (words uttered by the creator, Antonio Visconti). Indolic power jasmine and Tuberose enrich the slightly medicinal balsamic Oud. If you want to experience what an indolic note smells like, sample this one! Enough said, the other notes might be there as reinforcements, but hey, if it’s called Oud Jasmin it must be for a reason!

Ambergris and jasmine are one of my favorite combinations. Its truly a stunning refined scent. Luxe in every way including the understated current of scent. Melds beautifully with skin. Its indolic , but naughty in the best ways If you have a flush bank account, grab it

Definitely best of the bunch...otherwise not a big fan of Royal Crown 🤷🏻 Smells damp and dirty–their interpretation of "oud"

The best jasmine fragrance I have ever smelled by far.

Oud Jasmine will catch your attention from the very first spray. The Jasmine note is powerful, long lasting, and is the star of the fragrance. Jasmine lovers should at least try a sample because this is an opportunity to have this note hand in the air for at least 6 hours. I find it more enticing than Jasmin Rouge in part because it is a bit stronger. For those looking for a deep oud, I think you will be disappointed. The note is there but it is not trying to make a statement that some strong ouds often do. The scent is unisex and could be worn any season night or day. It is blended well but not sure it is quite worth its price point. On the other hand, if I want to reach for a Jasmin fragrance that is classy and makes me happy, then this is the one I will choose.

A lovely jasmine based Oriental composition, this is a beautiful multilayered indolic floral creation. There is a bit of Oud here but very slight compared to the dominant jasmine. The perfume has a very brief floral spicy opening with ylang-ylang, clove, saffron and cardamom. The prolonged heart showcases the jasmine in all its glory with notes of tuberose, rose and cedar. As the perfume dries down one can detect notes of Oud, vetiver, ambergris, benzoin and musk. The perfume has a beautiful strong white floral vibe to it start to finish. Unfortunately it is priced ridiculously high. Another minor quibble is the atrociously tacky presentation. The juice however is very beautiful. Unisex feminine leaning with outstanding sillage, projection and longevity. Enjoy.

Best Jasmine sambac that I have smelled. It is indolic and the dry down is amazing. Potent and not for the faint hearted - Bravo! Shukran Habibi!

This is not a heady white floral to me. It's an aromatic and lightly spicy, green jasmine dominant white floral. There is nothing dirty or indolic here. It's a little sweet and salty with an underlying soapiness. Despite all the white florals and oud, I don't find it particularly sexy. For me, that would be Jasmin de Pays, vintage Le Galion Jasmin, Nemat Jasmine, Rogue Jasmin Antique, April Aromatics Jasmina, and even Lush Lust. This is very clean in comparison; something good to wear in the summer heat. While I think it is nice, it doesn't really move me because I don't find it particularly unique and it's certainly not worth the insane asking price.

To me, Oud Jasmine smells extremely indolic. Being not a fan of indolic fragrances, I find this unpleasant. However, as the fragrance wares it becomes slightly less indolic. The scent is potent, so if you like heavy jasmine, you may want to try it. FYI: the juice is red and will stain so be mindful of where you apply.

I got a free sample from a fragrance friend and although I am forever grateful for the sample but I can't find the right compliment to say in regards to this fragrance. But to me the first thing that comes to mind when I smell this is the smell of a clean Porta-potty disinfectant. I was completely disappointed 😞.

Horrible disappointment. I love a floral and if it's jasmine, so much the better. I purchased a sample and after testing it on my skin, I wanted to weep tears of sorrow. It smells very old, dusty, danky. There is not a note of anything uplifting you would feel walking past a jasmine garden in this fragrance. Do not listen to the influencers who post videos of these extremely expensive fragrance houses, tub-thumping. Test for yourself.

The below reviews are use to synethic breezy smelling jasmine. I own many jasmine absolutes and I can attest this has tons of natural jasmine sambac absolute. The reviewers are not wrong it is extremely musty unsolicited indolic fecal unapologetic jasmine it almost goes dusty moth Balls from the overdose of sambac jasmine.They are not recreating a oud smell the oud in this is literally non existent it’s micro dosed to hold the natural jasmine sambac to the skin. I own several 30 ml vials of real jasmine sambac Otto’s and absolutes from India and this has TONS AND I MEAN TONS of natural jasmine sambac. Doesn’t get much better than this jasmine perfume for a true jasmine lover who has actually smelled the real deal and loves the real deal. Not the synthetic Jasmine aromachemicals in all the crap out there and yes I’m referring to other luxury/niche houses no other house has jasmine sambac this turned up in its natural form. The jasmine sambac absolute is so heavily dosed you cannot smell anything else in this perfume top mid and dry down are straight jasmine sambac absolute . It’s extremely rare and beautiful creation from RC. Ps natural jasmine sambac is heavily dosed in indole, and even has trace amounts of skatole. These are the same ingredients found in our feces, and in moth balls and many other things. Dirty raunchy and built for a Queen or King 👑

I have a few small vials of real jasmine absolute and this literally smells identical to my vial of jasmine sambac from India. I don’t smell anything but pure jasmine sambac. It’s beautiful, however this is my first royal crown and the bottles itself is pretty but not of a high refined quality. The bottle top doesn’t stay put, but beside that this is beautiful fragrance. Another small complaint is this juice when sprayed on the skin does not have a thick layer of oil for a pure parfum this should leave a layer of oils on this skin makes me question the concentration besides that not to disappointed but wish I could smell some of the other notes a bit more, but price is justified on the amount of natural jasmine alone.

The reminds me of the Thai place I have my massage. I don’t know if it’s the Jasmine note. Will ask the lady if it’s jasmine oil she massages me with. No, I’ll pass. My massaseur comes to mind anytime I smell this. Not a fan of white florals and tuberose as they are more pronounced on my skin so I’ll definitely pass. To me, this is more floral than woody. If you are a fan of Jasmine, this is your gem.

Oud Jasmine has the most authentic and pure Jasmine I've ever smelled. This leans feminine however I can't get enough of this masterpiece. This Perfume is one I must have and while I may not be able to wear it in public on account of it's effeminate nature, I will buy this for my own personal pleasure to be worn at home. This is the absolute best female Perfume on the market.

Blind buy and can't be more happy - such a gorgeous Jasmine. It's oily, slightly sweet, very sofisticated. I don't have oud on me, it's very deep inside. Opening is heavy but in 20 min you feel evening Jasmine in Mediterranean surrounded by flowers and woods. Crown of my collection. Love together with Noor.

I mean... it smells like jasmine. That's pretty much all I got from it? Got the moth ball smell at first, then that went away a lot, and it was just a nice jasmine. /shrug

Didn’t find this very animalic. This is a very fresh jasmine, compared to something like Alien this isn’t as sweet and doesn’t have the root beer thing going on.
