Diamond

This BLOOMS over time and with body heat! It is so, so beautiful. I want to gulp this scent like fresh Spring water. I consider Diamond to be one of Sage's "brighter" fragrances (i.e. Citrine, Amethyst, Jade, Sage), and they happen to be the Sage fragrances I don't enjoy wearing. However, that's not the case with this crystalline fragrance. Diamond is not at all what I expected from a scent named for the iconic gemstone of legendary hardness. Sage Diamond is so very soft. It connotes bubbles, rather than carbonate rocks. Diamond smells surprisingly floral at first...I did not expect flowers, particularly such "flowery" flowers. I can't narrow down what flowers I'm smelling but my mind creates images of Viburnum, ...maybe Honeysuckle?, Polyanthus Jasmine, ...Loquat?, Pink Dianthus... Very much the color "pink", in a pastel, sweet, young-girly shade. Directly underneath the floral is a slightly ozonic saltiness that melds into very lightweight versions of sandalwood and powdery amber. The final stage, which lasts and lasts, is a powdery floral. Diamond is lovely, and even though it's kind of aquatic (my least favorite fragrance category), I enjoy wearing it often. Diamond is incredibly "sparkling", so, with that adjective in mind, the name Diamond is suitable. To me, Sage Diamond smells like Pink Chalcedony gemstone. Maybe it's just me, but something about Diamonds reminds me of Chanel Gardenia and Penhaligon's Ellenisia mixed with Antonia's Flowers Sogni Del Mare. Also, at times, Clinique Aromatics in White. Fascinating.

Do not be fooled by the simple fragrance pyramid! As Sage says on her website, she waited years and years to make this scent, assembling all the perfect types of the listed ingredients. This scent sparkles without being sharp, bright without being loud and is clear without being transparent. It smells like she really took the cream of the crop and blended them seamlessly, sublimely into a fragrance truly worthy of the name of the world's most beloved stone.

This is wow fragrance!!! First sniff and I was totally blown away!!! Beautiful,on my skin smells a bit medicinal after 10 mins but still love it!!! Now I want a full roll-on, only tried a sample, on my wish list :-)) Very very unique,the flowers wow, so beautiful, I really want this!!

Soap and water clean girl musk. Nice office scent. For those that want to smell nice but not like a perfume. One of those your skin but better type of scents for a woman. Smells like you just stepped out of the shower. It reminds me of my bottle of Elizabeth Taylor Sparkling White Diamonds w/out all the neroli top notes.

Test driving a sample of Diamond that I received with my most recent order of the Pearl fragrance oil and eau de toilette from Sage Lifestyle fragrances. This is a very bright and fresh fragrance, and I have to agree with some reviews here about this being a clean musk (“laundry musk”) scent. Perfect for the stifling heat of the Southeast States, wearing this today literally made me feel like I was beating the swamp heat while running errands. I really REALLY like this! Diamond is labeled by the company as one of their “subtle” fragrances, but I’m not so sure about that. This fragrance has some pretty decent throw distance in the first couple of hours! Got several people asking what I was wearing, to which I would say, “I’m wearing a Diamond!” :D All Sage’s fragrance oils last a long while, but Diamond lasts a VERY long time indeed! I had put some on top of my left hand to sniff throughout the day, as for some reason, scents fade very quickly from my wrists. When I got home tonight after having worn Diamond for over 6 hours, I could still clearly smell it on my hand. It had barely faded. I washed my hands thoroughly to prepare dinner. When I was done, I washed my hands AGAIN, and although the scent had faded somewhat, I could still clearly smell it on my left hand. That’s pretty damned amazing! I can see why both Pearl and Diamond are their top selling fragrances, and I’m definitely ordering Diamond asap. Perfect summer scent!

I am a fan of many of the scents by Sage Machado, but I don't believe I've ever reviewed any of them. This was a blind buy for me, but I have no regrets whatsoever about purchasing this. Sage has done a wonderful job with this scent. For me, this perfume oil evokes thoughts of the beach, but not at all in a Coppertone way. If you are familiar with Sage Pearl, try to envision a touch of the sea thrown into the mix, as well as a dash of freshness. That, to me, is what Sage Diamond is. The lasting power for this is excellent, and I catch whiffs of this throughout the day. No complaints whatsoever about the way this smells, or the quality of the fragrance itself. Love it.

My first and most favourite perfume from Sage Machado so far. It is feminine, bright, uplifting but at the same time does not fall into the generic celebrity, overly crowd-pleasing category. A beautiful spring scent to me. Staying power and sillage are quite good - it makes its presence known without being in the face.

Someone said in a previous review that this was like Sage Pearl with a touch of the sea thrown in. That description is spot on. Should have been called Aquamarine.
