Salt Water Vanilla

The first fragrance with a salt note that I love, not just tolerate!! I fell in love when I wanted to use a different scent deodorant than the lavender one, I've used since I was an adolescent. I figured why not vanilla and tried Saltair's roll-on deodorant. It's SO good. I can currently only speak to the actual smell of this but will buy this soon so I can review its performance. The salt is subtle, it's not super mineral-heavy like it is in JHAG Vanilla Vibes (a crime against humanity) and Lancome Idole Aura (tolerable). The vanilla isn't super in-your-face-rich vanilla. It's soft and creamy, and subtly noticeable. Update: Now that I bought the body oil, body butter... and finally(!) the body mist... I can say this may be my favorite, perfect summer vanilla as I've noticed that I don't want to return to my fruity fragrances, as it gets warmer. Everything I said before is still true. The vanilla is lush; the salt is not overbearing. There's a unique spice/tang in the very opening that reels me in. It's very quick fading, though, so if you don't think you'll like that literally do not worry at all. The performance is pretty good! I get a good solid 4-5ish hours on it. Around 3ish hours though the sillage decreases but my coworker could smell me around 5-7 feet away and told me I smelled amazing.

To me, this is a beachy summer vanilla. It opens up with a briny bite that reminds me of Bath & Body Works’ Coconut—same saltiness that hits your nose before the warm sweet creaminess kicks in. This is a great layering scent for a lot of fragrances. I would layer this with the B&BW Coconut, but this also layers well with my other two Saltair Scents—Santal Bloom and Golden Hour. This is salted vanilla ice cream on the boardwalk as opposed to the sweeter more caramel or brown sugar vanillas of winter. This could definitely be worn all seasons, but the saltair ( no pun) brine really lands the whole summer beachy vibe! I love it! Great longevity for a body mist, but that’s been my experience with saltair sprays.Sad they changed to plastic from aluminum. You’ll get about 5 hours at least on skin and it has perfume level longevity on clothing.

I am giving this a love as it is a good layering combo for my vanilla perfumes. I use this spray in conjuction with the matching body cream, and add scents that match the semi-sweet smooth profile. This is a light, salty, woody vanilla .. not plasticky like Palmers tahitan vanilla or gourmand like EOS cashmere vanilla. I find it more pleasant than Plur's vanilla skin, also the price is sooo much more reasonable. Basically a light, quality vanilla that is suitable for professional settings too. Love it, will continue to use it and check out the rest of Saltair's range.

This is a really great summer body mist, the longevity isn't crazy and I wish there was an eau de parfum version. It's quite sweet but it's a little more than just vanilla, sea salt, and sandalwood. There's some linalool, some heliotrope or some other purple flower, there's a light cuddly ricey pudding note somewhere in this. The initial scent is very ultrazur, very oceanic and it burns off quickly and becomes sweet. This is gorgeous and not too cloying (:

I own and love the matching body cream and oil, and the scent is a deep, woody vanilla to my nose. It's not nearly as vanilla-forward and sweet as Vanilla Skin or Bare Vanilla. Today I'm pairing the body cream with Vanilla 28, and it's a great combo for those who like to layer! :) ** Update 2/14 - The body cream/oil is also fabulous paired with Hypnose! <3 ** Update 2/16 - Last combo, I swear! Salt Water Vanilla is excellent with Olympea as well. ;)

THEE summer vanilla! this is the only vanilla-heavy scent that really feels like summer to me. it smells like a sweet treat on the beach! the longevity and performance is truly impressive for a body mist and paired with the other body care in the Saltair collection the scent can last a long time. I think this is underrated!!

It lasts longer and projects more than a lot of my perfumes (EDPs). I think it’s a really clean vanilla, and I love the salty touch. I also pick up a bit of a leather vibe (maybe from the wood notes). Really beautiful and super easy to wear

Bare vanilla suede’s bestie! This isn’t as sweet but they pair well together.. if already have one you don’t really need the other. But if you have the BVS just get the SALTAIR salt water vanilla body oil with or without the shimmer. 👩🏽🍳💋

Smells like Palmers Cocoa Butter cream lotion. So good. It’s warm without being cloying. Smells as if you got cocoa butter and mixed it with vanilla essential oil and flakey salt. 9/10 (and that means a lot from picky ol’ me)

I gave away the body spray but love the shower gel, lotion and oil. It is what I want to wear when I need comforting. It's a soothing not too sweet vanilla. I'm looking for the perfect perfume to layer it with.

Such a beautiful sent and very versatile! I do get the saltiness that gives it an airy/freshness, but it’s not tropical or beachy, which I’d enjoy year round. I wish this had an EDP 😭

This is sooooo good. To me this smells like eating ice cream on the beach or along the boardwalk. So airy and yummy. I love the scent in the body care as well!

i love to wear this for everyday. it’s simple and easy, and i get a lot of compliments on it when i wear it, whether or not it’s layered with something else.

I love this smell! A very clean salty vanilla while still a little warm. A bit Powdery as well. Projection and longevity is amazing for a body mist! I have some eau de parfums that doesnt project or last as long as this. Im not a huge vanilla lover, but this is one that i will definitely keep using and buying! 🍦🌊☺️ Edit: VS Bare Sueded vanilla and this are CLONES

insane to say this is a vanilla for people who don’t like vanilla when it’s literally the most vanilla thing i’ve ever smelled in my life. it’s literally salted caramel, except you replace the caramel with vanilla.

tastes like how it smells, like vanilla seawater. kelpy notes. definitely think about whether you prefer the mountains or the sea more

Update (6/22/26) - It just went on sale at target for 40% off + 20% off for veterans so I am repurchasing it along with a bunch of others to 're-try". My tastes have changed in the last few months and I've learned to apricate scent profiles. I recall being super off & on with this so I'm thinking this might be a good one to use to layer. I'll come back after I get it! @cocolette could not describe it any better! I have been struggling to understand why I can't love this because I was hoping for a fresh aquatic vanilla and this is not it. There is no freshness at all... It's a dark one! The saltwater is like the kind of saltwater you have to make when you need to gargle for a sore throat, thick & warm. There is a smokiness that is unexpected that leans almost cigarette/cigar. There's some spice in there too that maybe is coming from their attempt at sandalwood. If they marketed it differently, it would work but not what I was looking for :( I think my nephew might like it and might pair well with Angel Share dupes.

Given to me as a gift, and while not something I would usually get, it's not bad at all! This is your typical beach body spray, but could honestly be worn whenever. I usually get compliments on it whenever I hug someone. As a set with the body wash and deodorant, it's honestly a hit, just nothing unique. If I ever don't want to waste my good perfumes or have a light smelling scent when going out, this is my go-to. The bottle also lasts quite long even with generous use. Would give it a 7/10 overall, just nothing amazing.

First impressions: (rollerball deodorant) I hate this smell. As I start getting sweat my armpits begin to REEK. But also the scent reminds me of eos vanilla cashmere which I’m not a fan of. It has this plasticy almost baby barf smell which I guess is the sandalwood or cashmere note. Whatever it is I’m not liking it.
