Sea & Sun in Cadaques

Now one of my memory-lane collection scents recently re-purchased, I used to wear in summers when in my mid-20s, now almost 2 decades later it smells exactly the same! Only with weaker performance, but since it used to be nuclear, I don't mind it a bit milder now... It still performs quite well and projects beautifully! This summer, I've reached for this quite a during the long heatwaves and enjoyed every spritz. :). In the first blast I get a lot of fresh type of apricots with delightful freesia that makes it slightly spring-air like. The kumquat and blackcurrant (i get blackcurrant leaves rather than berries) follow. Its sweet and lovely, not tooth-achingly sweet, but still a bit syrupy that marries well with the aquatic note. Its probably calone used here to create water lily and lotus fantasy notes, an uneducated guess ;) Sea & Sun in Cadaques is more fruity aquatic than floral aquatic on my skin and recommended to sample for touch of 90s (fresh!) apricot/kumquat/freesia. Dry-down is a bit unisex-leaning despite of initial sweetness. Imo its quite distinctive scent across the board, and not so similar with other Dalis, perhaps a little resemblance only to Cheap & Chic, but latter is not really aquatic...

Adoro este perfume, es un aroma agradable, delicado, fresco, femenino y limpio. No me canso de olerlo. En mi país no es fácil encontrarlo, así que durante un tiempo estuve tras él, hasta que por fin lo encontré y no me arrepiento, porque me fascina. En mí piel se destacan la grosella negra y el loto, que me encanta, el onmia cristaline que es un perfume que adoro, lo tiene también entre sus componentes. Seguro repetiré la compra. La relación precio- calidad me pareció excelente. Muy recomendable para climas cálidos y en verano. I love this perfume is a pleasant aroma, delicate, fresh, feminine and clean. I never tire of smell. In my country is not easy to find, so for a while I was behind him, until he finally found it and I have no regrets because I love it. Stand on my skin black currant and lotus, which I love, Omnia crystaline is a perfume that I love, it also has among its components. Insurance repeat purchase. The price-quality ratio was excellent. Highly recommended for warmer climates and summer.

I agree with the previous reviewers. This fragrance is like an ode to summer. Fresh but subtle, aquatic and has something that "grabs" your nose quickly. In my opinion, it has nothing to do with Light Blue. As Trvevil already said, it really shares some similarities with Eau de Rubylips (I would also add Shiseido Zen Summer), but while EdR is like hiding in the shade from the spring sun, Sea & Sun in Cadaques is more like walking along the seashore on a sunny and breezy summer day. To me the latter is purely about summer. This is summer in the bottle. Probably the gentle flowers give the aquatic feel to fragrance, and the juicy apricot (which is very noticeable here) reflects the sunny mood. I've never been to Cadaques, but looking at the photos I imagine, that there must be something that you can find in this bottle. Try it out if you like fresh aquatic scents, apricots, carefree summer and S.Dali;)

It's a fresh and mouthwatering scent, the kumquat and black currant make it seem almost edible without being sweet and just puts you in a good mood. It smooths out into a nice aquatic smell that lingers on your skin and clothes. It's very long lasting, my mother made it her signature fragrance and I could always feel it on her when she came home from work - and she never reapplied. Around 2017 there was a bad batch that was never recalled that smelled absolutely disgusting. FrancesAnne's comment reminded me of it, I'm quite sure she received one of those bottles because I also got one and it smelled exactly as she described. That was not the real perfume, but a bad batch.

Opens very green and dry, redolent of celery root. Shifts into spice, wood, and smoky notes. The heart gives way to the black currant and lotus, beautiful, then as it dries down it becomes clean, salty, dry, floral aquatic, musky heaven. Musk is perfect. The experience is pleasurable and elegant, but of too short a duration (lasts about an hour before I have to reapply). I found this shared certain profile notes with Hermes Un Jardin En Mediterranee, the spicy dry version of an aquatic, but boasted a more potent floral accord Jardin lacks. There was a slight kumquat note in Sea and Sun in Cadaques when I reapplied the scent, but no apricot yet.
