Ferragamo

I received a sample of this with another purchase and instantly needed to buy the bottle. For around a year and a half, this was my signature scent, and I would still consider it the scent I wear the most. I find it very versatile and I really do enjoy the tinge of violet and greenery that open up after a minute. My girlfriend also likes this scent on me the best, out of any fragrance in my collection. I don't understand why this fragrance gets as much hate as it does- sure it may not be the most unique in the world, but it does its job and does it well. I can wear it casually, but also dress it up. Plus I find it to last a while on me, without being overbearing for my (or my girlfriend's) nose. Give it a try if you are looking for something extremely versatile without being a traditional "blue" fragrance.

I can see it as a cold, masculine fragrance. It is also very serious, does not have much humour. The metaphor of the bottle - the skyscraper - is very appropriate. It reminds me of the Dior Sauvage perfume, but less cloying. It does not necessarily feel young, maybe for a guy who takes himself seriously. The citrus opening is neutral, and the deeper notes appear fast. The floral part is elegant, and the woody part is not excessive. Overall, very pleasant.

Super underrated. Perfect for if you're gonna be around people all day and you want to get compliments and be noticed. Amazing fragrance for someone living in the city. Lasting power and projection is off the charts for a freshie. Sharp, masuline, soapy sage with very slight sweetness. For people saying this is "generic" you are dead wrong. I have over 150 fragrances and this is very unique and one of my favorites for dumb reach and getting compliments

This is a great all-around scent. It's not particularly unique but it's still excellent and it smells higher quality. The smell itself is a blend of citrus, wood and freshness. You can't really go wrong with this. Blind buy safe. This scent is perfect for someone who wants to smell nice in any occasion and wants something 'designer' but inoffensive. Would make a great gift for someone who doesn't know much about perfumes but wants to smell good.

A very underrated fragrance!!! Balanced (fresh, a bit sweet, a bit earthy) and very likable by both men and women. Its drydown is gorgeous and its performance (with 4-6 sprays around my neck) is impressive (8+ hours). I think it’s perfect for the daytime and warm weather. Despite its affordable price it also comes with a high-quality bottle which has a very good pressurized atomizer. Buy it before it’s popularized by YouTubers :p

Great for the office. Projects great and the dry down is fantastic. Its got some leather and sweetness. I'd say this could be worn in any season. Wear this one with your button-ups gents. I tried the bright leather version which is too powdery and the intense leather, which is not as sweet. IMO this is the one to get.

For sure its not ground breaking but the balance between the freshness and the leather base is so well done, a really nice easy to wear fragrance that feels like its been made with decent ingredients. I guess people hate it because its not very hyped, especially on discount this is a no brainer!

No idea why so much hate, this is an amazing fragrance. For those that adore AZZARO Wanted by Night and Montblanc Legend Night this fragrance will be great addition to collection. It has a vibe of much more expensive fragrance, for the money it is no brainer, awesome buy!

By far the most generic scent I've smelled, it is impressive, even. The drydown is a bit more unique. It's pretty good tho, I'll probably buy a bottle. Very wearable, very inoffensive, very nice smelling fragrance. Performance is fine-good, it delivers.

This is pretty damn strong to my nose. Very much smells like a more masculine/slightly grown up YSL Y EDT/EDP. A little fruity but very musky and aromatic. A lot going on leather, sage, aquatic notes, violet leaf,fruity nuances.Good release.

I was always in dilemma as to what smell this reminded me of but eventually figured out that its actually quite like a rain in the winter season which is not bad because i love the smell of rain.

I love wearing this. Has been my all arounder for 6 months now over much more expensive perfumes. Lots of compliments from both women and men.

Another creamy violet scent. Pleasant. If you like Montblanc emblem or Givenchy Gentlemen Only but prefer this bottle, then get this.

Ferragamo is a fresh, aromatic, woody and citrus fragrance. Its aroma is pleasant and simple. The opening is very aromatic and citric, violet leaves are perceived and in my opinion it contains aldehydes, as it has a slightly acid aroma that increases the citric notes, in fact in this phase it is very similar to Y by Yves Saint Laurent which also contains citrus notes, aldehydes and violet leaves. Over time it becomes slightly more woody with a shy vetiver and cedar notes, until finally after several hours the citrus notes disappear. Ferragamo is a fresh fragrance throughout its life development, suitable for daytime use and casual situations. I think it can appeal to people of any age, especially young people, because its proposal is very jovial, although I see that this fragrance has not received much attention. I don't know if it was a recent release and it was the first batches, but in me it had an outstanding duration, because I applied it one day in the morning and the next day I could still perceive it, although it was level with the skin. Its sillage is medium, and it stays that way for a long time.

I can appreciate this for what it is - a cheap pleasant blue fragrance. Nothing mind-blowing but is pleasant - in a pop song that does well in the background playing in a cafe sorta way. Also a good beginner fragrance - is a bit more mature than say the Invictus aqua set without as much bubble gum. The only unique-ish note in this is the sage - but that sits in between everything just adding a herbaceous quality to it, not strong enough to give it it's own character. Unfortunately, if you try it in a shop where you're buying fragrances, this will get lost in everything else you're trying. Basically, in summary, it's a more modern version of what Nautica Voyage, Versace Pour Homme or Aqua Di Gio represented - modern being the key word there. The others are all a bit dated now. This seems like a natural succesor.

Just tried out this fragrance on skin. It has a very enjoyable and pleasent citric opening that dries down really quickly into a youthfull and musky version of Invictus. The fragrance as a whole smells pretty similar to the drydown of the Zara Night Pour Homme II (Which is an Invictus Clone) with CH Bad Boy’s hints. I would reccomend this to young men or boys from 12-21, as a daytime, school, hang out fragrance. Overall it is a familiar scent, very generic and good smelling. Salvatore Ferragamo really didn’t wanted to risk it with this one so as to become a mass appealing fragance but with that it killed its originality to stand out. My personal opinion is: If you liked this one just go to your closest Zara and buy the 150mL Night Pour Homme II, same performance and smell for roughly $19usd

This is a very good scent short of amazing. It's not niche nor unique but very safe and very everyday. The rating doesn't do it justice and it should easily be 4-4.4. It opens very well with very balanced notes, not sweet and musculine definitely. It doesn't sit too deep on your skin I felt. It's drydown is also smooth and not sweet nor changes much just lighter, overall throughout seems pretty well balanced scent. Good for anyone. Hard not to like it. It retails at sgd155 at the big stores but I got it for 55sgd at Mustafa, amazing price for such a good frag. I'm thinking of trying the rest in the line.

I got this as my first fragrance, and for a teen, it isn't the best. It has the woody/leathery scent reminiscent of older men, so it's safe to say it isn't a "young" scent. It does last a long time though and has some bright citrusy notes. It is very citrusy, leathery, and sharp when first applied. Dry down is very woody and leathery, but still pleasant. It can be used for any occasion in any season. Not too expensive, either. I personally think it works best in the fall and for formal occasions.

It's pretty generic sweet, new leather blue masculine. The drydown does go in a slightly interesting greenish woody direction. It's not anything special, but also pretty well done. Smells pleasant and seems to be at the same quality level as other higher end designer blue frags, if not better and smoother than many. Rating: 7.75 based on basic simple pleasing notes and competent composition. An excellent designer fresh leather.

Sits somewhere between their own lemony Acqua Essenziale and Bleu De Chanel EDT in its opening to mid. There's an addition of a creaminess with violet, a bit of woodiness and some grassy notes. Perhaps not very daring, but a bright inoffensive daytime fragrance. Another Ferragamo scent that smells more expensive than its price tag. You could spray fairly heavy with a breezy white linen shirt.

I don't get the Eros connection at all. I get no mint or vanilla. This is pretty much a bleuish GIT with sage and leather plopped in the middle. I'm getting iris and olibanum in the heart. It's also pretty close to Armaf Evoke Blue (which is a blue twist of GIT). The leather note isn't too strong in this. I like it, but I think if you have any GIT or clone, this would be a redundant purchase.

Painfully boring, more of a musk than a perfume. The violet leaf makes it sterile bright and watery, giving an odd feel to the citrus leather combo. High heat fragrance, bought a 1oz for $20 and i think ill keep it in my car; it doesn't feel deserving of a spot among my collection. Cant decide if i like it or not; its a mass appealing formula but the watery musky accords feel out of place.

Much better choice than Bleu de Chanel. It does the aame thing, but perform better, can be found cheaper and you will not smell like her ex. Great scent. I heard a french couple in the upper deck in a bus in London talking how good is smelling someone. Guess who was sitting just behind them in the empty bus wearing Ferragamo 👌👏👏🏆 Great job Salvatore Ferragamo!

It's a fresh and sweet kind of fragrance. very suitable for office wear. It has some sort of Versace Eros DNA. Not prominent when freshly sprayed. Drydown is sweet ( not to much) and some floral pleasant scent. Overally good. Projections is moderately good. stays close to body after and hour and half. Safe for work space.

Amazing presentation, simple yet elegant. The smell is not unique, still not a clone of anything, as far as I can tell. Yes, it is a blue fragrance, but one on those that should get rating of around 4 here. So I am guessing the score is just blatant bias? I always thought there is too much elitism around...

I personally really enjoy this one, obviously it's not doing anything crazy unique. Still pleasant, very bright in the opening, then the dry down on my skin is something special. Not really sure what note is so alluring to me in the the dry-down but it's really nice. Signature scent candidate for sure.

I use this when I'm playing Soccer and for the gym . Perfect profile that sort of thing . It's not a power house but under the effects of sweat and heat from sport its one of the perfect frags for it ! If you're looking for a sporty fragrance that you're actually going to use for sport , this is it !

Pleasant scent, but after 2 weeks of daily use, more than 10 sprays it looks very weak. Longevity on skin less than 4 hours, no projection after 1 hour. Really disappointed.

A delicate, beautiful, sophisticated, authentic Italian fragrance. Neither its intensity nor its scent is intrusive. A restrained, yet temperamental Italian fragrance. 10/6

a nice vetiver, leather, citrus, and green scent. very aromatic and light, however, I think the intense leather version is way better (get that instead)

For me this is pretty much a better, sweeter version of Versace Eros. How the f is YSL Y so high on the "reminds me of list" smells nothing like it.

Very safe, sort of generic, I kind of get Axe shampoo vibe. It’s sweet, and sort of reminds me of Eros. It’s ok, but nothing special. 6.5/10

Honestly a great scent for the price. It has the same sort of DNA as Armani Code and Versace Eros but it’s definitely weaker on longevity.

Smells nice. I like the grassy notes. Aquatic/Ozonic. Maybe nice as office wear.

Not a bad fragrance, but it won't blow you away. It's very corporate, and light, and extremely inoffensive. If you're expecting any sex appeal from this fragrance, just beware that you'll be getting absolutely none. However, if you're not looking for something exclusively seductive, this is still a nice option, especially if you're in the market for a professional and office-safe fragrance. Citrus and woods dominate the scent profile, in a light and barely-noticeable aroma that's traditionally masculine, almost along the lines of the original Acqua di Gio or other quintessential office fragrances for men. The performance is where Ferragamo falls flat, with disappointing levels of both longevity and projection, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, especially if you're considering using this in a traditional indoor office environment, which honestly, might be the only place I'd wear this fragrance. It's not my personal favorite fragrance, but it is a decent, exclusively professional pick. If I were to go back in time, I'd probably purchase Bright Leather instead of this, as it's slightly fruitier and more leathery with a subtle sexy sweetness about it.

Ferragamo by Salvatore Ferragamo: Nice, but generic, an aromatic and citrusy blue frag with a woody base. Good for spring, summer and autumn along with casual everyday wear to the gym/office. Both longevity and sillage are moderate, and it is good for men of all ages due to it being inoffensive but you won't really stand out with this. It is quite a well-rounded and pleasant frag but it's just somewhat boring. Top notes: Lemon, bergamot and sage (very nice and fresh opening) Middle notes: Cedar, leather (non-animalic) and maybe violet? Base notes: Oakmoss, vetiver and musk 3/5

Scent profile: Think of barbershop aftershave, extra punch of woods and a little green, aromatic and slightly powdery, dries down well on clothes and leaves a great close sillage. Professional. No tricks up its sleeve. Not your typical blue scent with subtle creamy profile. Not too overpowering either. One of the modern cousins of Drakkar Noir. You probably would like Ferragamo "Leather" variants better if you are looking for something different. :) Got from Winners in Canada, #01N18G1

That fragrance is super generic I already kinda forgot how it smells lmao. Not bad except the dry down which I do not like: To me it smelled like a freshly opened stash of office paper and it lasted ridiculously long. Over 24h. Edit: Tried it again. The opening is good and fresh but it's gone after SECONDS. After that it becomes kind of minty, I don't know which ingriedent I get that from. Close up and in dry down it's still paper to me.

This one is a eau de toilette, so performance is terrible I got around 6 hours of longevity with 1 of projection but no one complimented me. The smell is actually amazing and I like the freshness of it, it's not giving that designer smell but the performance was dissapointed.

Honestly yeah very bold fresh hit. nothing special or exciting. after 5 minutes better scent more softer and feels like clean aftershave shampoo. for a price point it's good but better check longevity idk. fresh clean casual scent. more for a gym type.

Citrusy and floral freshie with some musk, but the notes on Fragrantica are off. Where's the leather?? Overall disappointing.

It took me a little bit but I get a strong sillage (SMW) vibe from it. Not my favorite, but not terrible either.

Just tested it in Dubai. Boring from the first sniff to the quickly vanishing drydown. Very short-life "fresh and boisé" fragrance "with a sharp contemporary twist", absolutely inexpressive. Generic and boring. I'm afraid I'm never going to try Ferragamo again after this launch. The only nice feature: the featureless 'face' of the scent is perfect for this wishy-washy highly overpriced liquid. And since it, according to mentioned above press-release, embodies "Salvatore Ferragamo’s artisanal heritage", I feel very sorry for it.

Leather + vetiver + cedar = NOPE!!! It's a perfect solution for disaster for me. I smelt it in the shop and couldn't stand it at all. It's ultra-manly and toxic. The leather is very strong in this one, and vetiver and cedar only amplify it, making it worse and worse. I hate it. Please don't come near me if you're wearing this.

Designer fragrances are not made to please the picky, fickle tastes of frag heads or niche snobs. They are made to appeal to the masses, because that's where they make their money....and they are a business. They don't intend to be daring or risky, what's the point in smelling shit or weird just to be different? When you say 'it will appeal to the masses' you make it sound like that's somehow a bad thing, as if somehow you, in your fragrant (and possibly weird smelling) ivory essence tower, are so above the great unwashed masses, with their obviously poor taste. In reality appealing to the masses is something that will make the creators do high fives as a success. They do what they do for the masses, to make masses of money, it may be 'art' to you but if they are 'artists' at all, then they are 'commercial' artists, creating for large companies with the sole purpose of making money. They don't do it for you, they do it for the masses....for money and probably look down on frag snobs more than frag snobs look down on the masses. The masses matter, frag snobs don't..... It's the real world....it's not about you...deal with it.
