Gentil Suono

Of all the Tuscan Creations, Gentil Suono is my favourite. It is warm, musky, floral but in no way heavy. Whenever I sniff it I am reminded of the Middle East. This is a comforting fragrance and one that can be worn easily. I find this whole collection quite overpriced - but the bottles are beautiful, as are the colours of the fragrances contained inside. This perfume can be easily unisex and is perfect for those who love to layer.

Rich and rather dark, but not heavy at all. You can easily wear it in summer. I’d say it’s a feminine oriental. In its drydown it reminds me of the sadly discontinued Eau de Velours by Bottega Veneta with hints of Coromandel. Luxurious.

First, the perfumer Serge Majoullier is a very experienced figure in commercial perfumery. Looking purely at his niche creations, one recurring characteristic is the tendency toward blurred transitions between stages and a relatively flat structure—what some would describe more politely as a “linear composition.” This fragrance follows the same pattern. The opening and early heart do not really establish much layering. It begins with a rather formulaic combination of mandarin and black pepper, but the longevity of this stage is very short. The citrus and pepper only appear briefly, without building any real spicy tension, before being quickly absorbed into the resinous base. As for the geranium, it is hardly noticeable. Once it reaches the heart, the scent becomes somewhat dense and merged. Several resins overlap with each other, and although they blend smoothly, the structure lacks progression. The result is a sweet, thick impression where everything feels somewhat blended together. The drydown differs very little from the heart. Vetiver is reduced to the point that its earthy character is almost absent. Cedar adds a slight woody tone, but overall the scent remains very similar to the middle stage, with minimal development. In the end the impression is simply warm, sweet woods. Longevity and projection are around average.

Damn. Blind bought this; judging by the notes, it should have been right up my alley, but it's not. I wish they presented the note breakdown differently cause this one is very misleading. There's no olibanum here, no labdanum, no plum, nothing other than myrrh done in the style of Jo Malone's Myrrh & Tonka, but instead of vanillic coumarin, it's wrapped in undefined florals (after the initial rosy pelargonium burst). Not a bad scent, but definitely, at least, leans feminine. Whoever's reminded of Arabesque and/or Ganymede by this, needs to lay off the pipe for a while.

Lotta good notes sounds great on paper,the perfumer created one fragrance the girl likes Armani Prive La Femme Bleue...aside from this creation not sure about anything else so we will have to see but definitely intrigued .

This and Terra Rosa, are the best from this line. Very soft after it dries down . I don’t smell the individual notes, but it is well blended. Overall 8/10.

This sounds SO good; I can't wait to try it!
