Uomo Salvatore Ferragamo Limited Edition

The initial first 10 minutes are wonderful, kind of a mix of roasted coffee and dessert sweetness. Tiramisu is fairly spot on. The dry down to me is very similar to Burberry Brit Rhythm. Although this is less powdery and herby, the leathery tonka bean notes stand out to me for both. I prefer this either way. The tiramisu prominence seems to fade out into a more generic sweetness, but depending on the exact whiff you happen to get throughout the day it can come back. Definitely a fall scent, winter it may be too cold / projection is a bit lacking. Anything from 40-80 degrees F seems like the sweetspot for this fragrance. Have not compared this to the regular but I assume they are the same fragrance, non-withstanding batch or reformulation surprises.

Excellent fragrance. Identical to the regular Ferragamo Uomo, just different packaging. Most complimented Fall Fragrance this year so far. Smells like you left the local artisan cake bakery with your espresso.

Love the woody notes and the cardamom combination, with the perfect touch of sweetness.

Same notes but different blending. It is less sweet than the original Uomo and more spicey maybe more pepper and cardamom. On the first wear it seemed to have a little smoke in the vein of the signature uomo. On the second wear seemed more like the original Uomo with less sweetness, more spices and less longevity. By the way I tested it in spring with a temperature around 17 to 20 degrees celsius; maybe in colder weather it will perform better. The 3rd wear was one arm original Uomo and the other hand the Limited edition. Side by side you can tell the difference - Uomo is more sweet and gourmand, the Limited edition is less sweet, more spicey and semmed to have less longevity. Because the first time I wore it the longevity was poor, on the second wear I sprayed around 6 sprays or more and after 10-15 minutes I could not smell it anymore - so it causes nose blinding at least in warm weather if oversprayed. I shall see in cold weather how it realy is. A few days ago I put one and a half spray on my arm and I could smell it for about 6 hours and then took a shower. I hope that in colder weather it will perform good. Even the original Uomo does not perform too well in warm weather - If you have the right temperature you will smell it the hole day. The Limited edition Uomo seems to be a nice autumn and winter (but not for extreme cold winter) fragrance and maybe for colder spring or summer nights with one or two sprays not more. My personal feel is that this one is blended to be less sweet and more ambroxan and spice to please more people.

Sprayed them on each arm..besides a prettier box and gold accent on the bottle it’s the exact same thing. Nice sweet scent that is very pleasant. It has decent longevity and projection.

The opening is really good. The dry down is sweet and boring. It’s good if your just starting out but Im into scents with more depth now, sold it off.

This is the Uomo that everyone sought after and yearned for; With the coffee dialed up to the max. However, the coffee is so strong it has become unbalanced, and therefore ruins one of the best modern coffee fragrances. The opening is all coffee, with the original DNA coming through strong. At this point the scent is wonderful and vibrant. However, in the dry down the overwhelming coffee note turns into pencil shavings and loses the beautiful sweetness of the original. A real shame, but highlights the perfection of the original Uomo. Be careful what you wish for.

So i just got this having ran through a 30ml bottle of Uomo. I must say, there us definitely a difference between the two, according to my nose anyway. The limited edition smells more similar to Uomo signature than the normal edition. Don't get me wrong its still an amazing scent. Just imagine Uomo with less ambroxan and slightly less sweetness, and at last you have Uomo limited edition.

This is just Uomo in fancier packaging. Any differences are most likely because it’s a new batch. Good if you don’t already own Uomo or if you’re a collector. Otherwise you don’t need it.

so i'm wondering how different is the scent of this limited edition to the original? they apparently have the same notes but some people disagree it's the same scent

Less ambroxan which some may like however that also means less performance. That is very evident when tested side by side with original Uomo.
